I don't know if these articles have been posted before just thought it would be good to have a reference later in thread as not every poster will go back and re read previous posts The second article above I think states Maleyha left with her family the evening of the first day as DMs mum threw her family off the land as they were accusing DM . I don't know if DM and Maleyha were still in contact although living separately up until the meeting update which is when DM states he didn't hear/ see from her after that .


Was it raining on 2nd of May screenshot taken from second article above . Just wondering why DM states the children would return inside if it was wet and cold .

As the oldest child often expected to step aside while the baby or babies were cared for or given something I also needed, I can agree with the poster upthread who saw that as a possible for Lily and Jack to have "run away".

Remembering how those times felt and how many times I wanted to run away, I think it makes perfect sense.

It definitely seems unusual not to hear anything but she might not be in any fit state mentally to do any of that. We just don't know.

I think it is really important to keep in mind that people do not share the same responses to the same traumas. The mother might not be able to do anything, for whatever reason.

I am interested in knowing more about the sighting of the children on May 1st. It narrows the timeline in which they could have disappeared (if we set aside the statements of the mom and stepdad)
I am also interested in knowing if cadaver dogs were part of the search of the Gairloch Rd property, as well as the surrounding forest and roadside, and also DM and MBM’s vehicle and atv.

The only place the kids could have run to and not be found yet would be one of the neighbors. I hope that RCMP have already ruled out and interviewed everyone on this road.

Could the parents have faked their disappearance to protect them from the bio dad? Maybe he is a bad abusive guy who would hurt them.

I let my 4 and 7 year old get up on weekends and have a snack and watch TV while I get some extra sleep. If that makes me a horrible parent I guess so be it.

No worries, I am sure so many parents do this that it is normal family stuff.

There has been nothing suggesting this could be the case. Even the mother has not said he was abusive. The kids's photos don't give any such idea either. From what we see of his behaviour, he seems a caring step-father.

I personally don’t think it takes 2 parents to feed a 16 month old. Plus if they were in bed with the baby as they’ve stated, the baby wouldn’t have been consuming anything beyond a baby bottle, maybe, which requires no assistance for a 16 month old.
I also don’t see it as likely that a 4 and 6 year old would form a strong intent to run away and then act on it successfully. Or even in the unlikely case they did, to then travel so far thru dense wet forest as to never be found by large organized teams of searchers.

I agree. At 16 months, assuming neurotypical development, a child should be using a sippy cup to drink, holding the cup themselves, and eating solid foods. Why would two parents need to be feeding her, much less in their bedroom opposed to in a high chair or similar set-up?

Parents who are deemed potentially abusive are still granted visitation but under a supervisory order, meaning the children aren’t alone with him.

If this is all a hoax and the children aren’t missing, the stepdad and mother would likely face criminal charges plus a massive bill for the useless search. Not wanting a biological parent to spend time with his children is not a valid excuse to fake their disappearance.

IIRC there was some ambiguity as to whether it was stated the child was being fed in bed or if MBM was trying to sleep. There’s been discussion to that regard already on these threads. Anybody recall that or is there an actual link to the child being fed in bed as the reason the parents didn’t get up?

The feeding in bed was very early on and came from the Daily Mail, a news site that gets facts wrong often. It has, to my knowledge, never been repeated anywhere else.

Having said that, I just realized that MBM never says she was in bed with the baby. She said we were in bed drifting in and out of sleep and I said to my partner do you hear the kids.
