If nothing, why was that window covering removed?whoops almost forgot to enter the msm proof
No pink window cover
Pink window cover
Good catch! I hadn't seen that pink window covering before. Tho the photo with the pink cover in is from an Acadie nouvelle article published on May 14th and no pink window cover in the CBC article from May 16th, so I'm wondering how to establish what was in the window at the time J and L disappeared? And to that end how to know when exactly the photos were taken? Was Acadie nouvelle there only once, and if so it couldn't have been before the children disappeared, so I would wonder why was the pink cover there after the disappearance and probably not before? I mean, I don't recall seeing it on any other photos, some of which might pre-date the disappearance, like from google maps. Not saying they definitely do pre-date, just saying it's possible.

Acadie nouvelle is new media, new source of information, for me, thanks for bringing it onto the thread, @AddyFinch The interviews with the one neighbour, who actually knows DM, wishing people would get off his case and stop blaming him without any proof is interesting to read, good to hear from somebody on the ground. Of course who knows? - the fact that she's saying that isn't proof in itself that he had nothing to do with the disappearance but we are hearing from somebody local willing to give their name and not an anonymous person behind a keyboard. Also law professor Michael Karanicolas from Dalhousie, who's an expert on disinformation online explaining how that's normal these days, not just in this particular case.

My French is a little rusty though, so I may not be catching everything between the lines.

usually there is some level of granted access but this widely varies between states
Don't you mean between provinces? Or maybe your answer just refers to the US? So we need someone to answer that question who knows how it is in Canada. Not me, haven't lived there for a long time. MOO

Ha yes sorry, I mean locations in general vary. I would guess Canada varies in location also but I cant say specifics personally

I hadn't even caught the significance of that term being used. hmmmm

interesting
I could be reading too much into it, but it popped out at me because the wording used in Section 8 of our Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects individuals "from unreasonable search and seizure".

IMO, could also simply be LEO-speak in relation to a warrant that they would certainly be prudent in getting, regardless of whether it was offered up voluntarily or not.

<rsbm>

Just an FYI to let members know, Acadie Nouvelle is New Brunswick's only French language newspaper and is considered MSM.

I'm wondering along those lines too. The first word that stood out to me was "seized", So different from found or discovered. I thought perhaps it was journalist's wording, but it is the wording contained in today's RCMP release.
It would seem they are referring to the balance of the blanket which Daniel stated was found in the bin in their trailer.

I wonder how long that RV has been there on right hand side of driveway? Is it new to any of the posted photos? Is it confirmed in msm who lived there?

  • #249
Do we have a link for it being found in a bin in their trailer?

From today's Halifax news:

RCMP provide brief update on Sullivan children disappearance

One of the policing units are working to examine materials located through these searches, including a pink blanket that officers found on Lansdowne Road. McCann confirms this is the same blanket found on May 2, and police said that the family confirmed the blanket belonged to Lilly.
Strange her blanket would be in trash. My inclination would be to save all her little things for memories unless of course they were dirty etc. was this the pink fabric on that window in photo? If pink fabric was in bin in garage, does that mean garbage pick up day hadn’t occurred, or did they not have garbage services being that rural? Where I live rural homes take their garbage to local dump, I wonder if checked?

RSBM

Is that a definite fact? What's the source? It seems to me it's better to find that out before checking garbage pick up day etc and going down that rabbit hole.

Do they mean trash bin or laundry bin?

Rereading this and noted LE are now calling this piece of a blanket, a blanket. Did I miss something here? I thought it was initially called a piece of a blanket, big difference, or am I incorrect. Wasn’t there a narrative about finding a piece after it was missed during a search? We assumed it was a torn off piece? Now it’s a full blanket?

Don’t know, although I would suspect the laundry bin in Canada would be located indoors with machines? Maybe not trash at all?

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> ... Would be good to know dates of these photos of trailer. Also who’s cars in drive? One has tire off back left rear. LE or owners of property? Did MBM drive? I thought possibly LE because they looked like fleet vehicles, but maybe owners liked that make/model? Did DM use one of them when he went off searching, or just ATV?

could they be the drone photos from the searchers? You could compare them to the drone footage pics, where cars are parked etc. same cars?
Also who’s cars in drive?
Maybe the family members that arrived that day?

Did MBM drive?
Yes remember she posted a review of a dealership because she had just purchased her first car?

I don't have time to listen to the audio, but from CBC Radio as shared by a trusted Websleuths member on June 17:

Some excerpts. Reporter commentary unless otherwise indicated:

-not one, but two missing children, a dog that barks at everything, a mother who left on the second day, a father who hasn't seen the kids in three years, and a stepfather trying to piece things together.

-the children's mother took the baby to be with her family in another part of the province. Her mother told CBC News the RCMP told them not to speak with news reporters. The RCMP says it just advised everyone to be mindful of the information they share publicly.

-Search crews returned for two more weekends until the end of May searching wells, mine shafts and septic systems, even flying a drone beneath the home. The four-year-old is wearing some blue dinosaur boots. Police say they found a bootprint, and listen to this in the radio chatter:
“families uh brought us to a location there uh not far away that uh there's a part piece of a blanket”.

was there ever a time when Daniel said it wasnt LIlys blanket? I vaguely remember that.
According to very early posts, Yes. I saw the post about an hour ago and will try to find the link again and post it.

I hope they are getting nearer to making arrests.
I wish whoever is involved would just confess and let these kids be found. But we know that won't happen.
