Posted 17 minutes ago by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Nova Scotia:
“May 4, 2025: The search efforts are ongoing today in Pictou County for missing children Lily and Jack Sullivan.

The searches went on through Saturday night, as they had on Friday night as well. Ground search and rescue team members and officers who were on scene overnight have been relieved by new volunteers and officers from agencies involved to allow for refreshed searches to continue as necessary.”

You're not Canadian, are you? Grizzlies and wolves are only found in certain areas in certain provinces - not Nova Scotia.

Has a canine squad been called in? Often, tracker dogs can find a missing person more quickly than people can. At the very least, the dogs can tell searchers where the children went.

Children can go much further than we think, so at this point, they need a large search area, and that is challenging. Hopefully they are in the woods, warm enough, and just need to be found.

This is only 45 minutes from where a 3 year old boy Dylan Ehler went missing on May 6, 2020. Coincidence? Maybe?

That’s what came to mind for me. There was also an attempted abduction of a three year old after Dylan disappeared and is presumed to have drowned.

But it sounds as though these two youngsters might be in heavy brush, imo.

Google map.

The left is where the attempted abduction was, the middle is Truro where Dylan disappeared, the right is Pictou where the two children are currently missing.

It all gives me a funky feeling. You would think they would have been found by now if just wandering.

That's so true that children often travel further distances than anyone thought was possible. I keep thinking about little Boden in Arizona who went missing a couple of weeks ago. Boden is not quite three-years-old, but he walked seven miles through rough terrain before he was rescued by a rancher's dog and led to safety. That was a miracle, and I'm hoping for another miracle for Lily and Jack.

Five children missing or targets of an attempted abduction in one area? This is giving me the heebie-jeebies.

This definitely feels off. Is it so rural they don't have neighbors? Any ring cameras? Is there any relationship with Lily and Jack's dad(s)? Custody issues?

The police say there's nothing to suggest a stranger abduction but the mom says there needs to be an Amber Alert because they won't come to searchers calling for them.

Reminds me of Summer Wells. I hope these children are still together and found today.

The mother's demand for an Amber Alert seems very strange to me.

If she thinks abduction is possible, why does it seem strange?

Could be emotion, but this does tell me she does not trust the authorities working on the case.

Whether that distrust is reasonable or irrational is a question that cannot be answered from MSM information, IMO.

It sounds to me as though, like a lot of people, she may not understand (or maybe she just disagrees with) the criteria for when an Amber Alert is and is not issued for a missing child. It's understandable any parent would want as many people as possible looking for their missing kids. MOO.

RE: Amber Alert, the mom sounds to me to be desperate, frantic and wants the world to get out and look for her children. I don't blame her one bit either.
