Sean Morrow, a writer for More Perfect Union, wrote on X: "Artist Rachel Kenaston shared an email saying UnitedHealth Group filed a DMCA claim to stop her from selling a merchandise with HER artwork of Luigi Mangione. There was no United logo on the design, just Luigi. How does that infringe on UnitedHealth IP or copyright at all?"

Do we know for sure tht UHG filed a DMCA Takedown specifically for Rachel Kenaston's tshirts or was the UHG takedown directed to the online vendor, Teepublic? I haven't seen the actual DMCA Takedown filed, so wonder if it was directed to Teepublic and was a general DMCA Takedown for all tshirts and other items related to the shooting, since Teepublic was apparently selling some tshirts that had the UGH logo on them along with some Mangione images, words, etc. A DMCA Takedown request can be based on copyright infringement, trademark takedown, defamation takedown and others. I am thinking that UGH probably sent a general takedown to Teepublic and they took down all their Mangione merchandise as a precautionary measure to being sued. But without seeing the document that Teepublic received, it's hard to know.

In any event, glad to see that their are efforts underway to see that no one profits from the murder of Brian Thompson. More power to them, IMO.

A man toting 2 backpacks, eating at McDonalds, staying in hostels and road side motels has 6mm in the bank? He may have a healthy trust but I highly doubt he has access to 6mm. Maybe his trust was denied to him and he's angry because it's under control of trustees and he has no understanding of how it is structured.
I don't think he was eating at McDonald's and staying at hostels/motels because he was skint. He had money. He tried to stay anonymous but failed. Personally I think he just ran out of gas after the murder. So much intense planning, so much intense execution, so much adrenalin, then he crashed.

Disclosing to people you barely know that you have 6M in your bank account sounds like a horrible decision lol
Let's hope he keeps that to himself when he gets to Rikers.

But help how? Money won’t bring him back, and he had a hefty salary.
Brian Thompson's sons could use the money for philanthropic interests in their father's memory.

He looked absolutely exhausted in that Mcdonalds photo; looked like he hadn't slept in days.

This seems like nonsense to me. Just people looking for their 15 minutes with the Daily Mail. LM acted alone.
Exactly. If he had help, there was no reason for him to be loitering around the hotel for an hour prior to BT's arrival. Any spotter would also be spotted on security cameras when police went back to track his movements that morning.

And not eaten well either.

Too late. A video was uploaded a few days ago (upthread) - an interview with a former guest at Rikers. He said the word is out that his family has millions, so he will be safe at Rikers in exchange for those millions.

I imagine he’ll be kept in protective custody there, which would minimize any attempt at extortion. You can bet his attorney will also be looking out for him in that regard, and make sure the conditions aren’t present for that to happen.

If LM's attorney is advising that he waive extradition and get to NYC right away, as appears to be the case, then I am assuming that she has already confirmed that these kinds of arrangements have been made. Otherwise, I don't think she would move him so fast until arrangements would be safe for him.

I was curious how the polling question was worded, here it is plus a decent graph. Scroll down some in the link, there were several questions unrelated to this murder.

If true, he has the funds to pay for his legal fees.

Wonder if when receiving that money (if true) is when he cut ties with everyone.
Good point, but I think he was talking crap to his friend in Japan. I think he knows he is entitled to six million but probably has access to a small portion of that at this point in time. If he truly got laid off with severance with a high paying SF job mid 2023 there’s been enough there for him to float on since. If I were to give my 21 year old son today six million dollars, of course I’d never see him again, ha. And I think LM’s mother knows better than that too.
I’m going to make a grand prediction here. He will be in prison for a long time but not nearly for the length of time most would agree on. I think it’s impossible to get a full jury that will hammer him. Did you see Chris Rock’s joke on Snl about it? He equated the ceo to a drug dealer, saying sometimes drug dealers get shot. Lots of laughs. Not saying I agree with it.

Goes along with that:

As of now, the Manhattan District Attorney's charges against Luigi Mangione would have priority, and any possible future federal charge or charges would be second in prosecution order. A decision regarding federal charges could come soon, sources told NBC New York.

Okay???

The article didn't elaborate. I'm thinking federal firearms etc..Possibly a little bit of this and that, but no info given....

It didn’t elaborate because they just don’t know yet. I think it’s the gun stuff too.

According to reports, his grandmother died in March 2023 and she left an estate worth $30M. She had 10 children and 37 grandchildren. I doubt she left anything for grandchildren. Estates are usually divided amongst children, and those children can gift or bequeath to their children.

It might be a bit of a feather in his cap to brag about "generational wealth" as something that he does not respect.

Maybe his parents were due to receive up to $6M, maybe not. Numbers suggest $3M per child. Maybe the inheritance was in property, so not $3-6M in the bank. Maybe the estate is larger than reported.

Regardless, I don't believe Mangione has that much money from his family. I would like to see his personal finances from July 1, 2022 to Dec 4, 2024, to include 6 months before surgery, grandmother's death, job loss in June 2023, and his international travels.

From the article below, it sounds like Luigi is not going to get a dime of the 30 million, precisely because of what he’s dome.

I wonder if he knew this before he committed the murder? I doubt it would have made any difference. Pure evil. Full of hate.

I hope he ends up in Ted K’s old cell at Supermax ADX in Colorado. I don’t even mind if, also like Ted, he chooses to commit suicide when he’s 81. Just keep an eye on him until then.

That too. The Will stipulated that any beneficiary who is indicted (or more) for a criminal offence is automatically excluded from the Will. I haven't read about a clause that: if descendants of beneficiaries are indicted etc. the parental beneficiary is excluded from the Will. There would have to be an end-date to a clause like that. Besides, Wills relate to beneficiaries, and it's more common to bequeath to children and they can gift to their children.

Did Mangione expect something from the Will? Was he close to either of those grandparents? The grandmother died in March 2023 with an estate worth $30 million and 10 children. I highly doubt that the estate has been sorted this fast. Cash and stocks would have been distributed by now, but people with that kind of money don't have it sitting around in cash. It takes time to sort out large estates.

Did Mangione use family money, work severance, or insurance compensation for his travels around Asia between June 2023 and July 2024?
