NY - UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot in Midtown. #12 *Arrest*

Reminder:

Federal Court date March 19, 2025
Thanks, I wonder how LM is faring in the MDC, certainly not what he was accustomed to previously in his moneyed lifestyle. He was a traveler, a roamer with little obligation after he was let go from his job. Quite the change, I wonder what truly goes through his little pea brain at night while trying to sleep?

Does he regret his actions, is he happy to feel Martyred and have an adoring boy/girl fan club? Has reality sunk in yet and does he realize he will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison? Without all the comforts and anonymity he was used to before? What a waste.

apparently he’s reading, exercising, eating lots of ramen and spending time with the other inmates and wednesday night is chess night! this is from a letter he wrote to someone..

i think on social media like tiktok you can probably find more of LM’s letters, but i’m not on there (and it would be against WS to share them here without MSM link anyway)

does anyone know what we can expect on March 19th?

LM is living with a lot of cognitive dissonance - he wants the benefits that come with being viewed as a martyr, but will use those funds (and perhaps family funds as well) to assert his innocence. He can't be both things.

He may be able to suppress the tension during the day by keeping active and distracted, but as he stares at the ceiling or the bunk above him at night, tossing and turning on the thin mattress in an attempt to get comfortable, his mind becomes a tortured place to be.

Regarding your last line, probably a bunch <modsnip - namecalling> showing up at the courthouse like usual.

LM's jail experience sounds like a summer camp. IMO they should make the inmates work menial tasks such as making license plates, working in the kitchen, sweeping the floors, cleaning toilets, etc. They should earn their keep rather than have the taxpayers support them while they goof off all day.

it seems like some new info has been added to the FAQ on the LM website, including a handwritten catalog LM keeps of the mail he receives, so people can check it he has received the mail they sent (apparently not everything is going through)

i have only pasted the pages with some additional writing besides the cataloging here! i guess it’s another bit of insight in how LM is passing his time!

You mention family funds. Where are his parents in all of this?

We don't know anything about the parents' funds, if they are funding LM's defense attorneys or not. Because they are victims, we're not allowed to sleuth them according to WS rules. And they haven't made any public statements reported in MSM since LM was arrested, as far as I've seen.

Very well-written by an obviously intelligent person

Can LM sound any more like the Martyr he so desperately wants to present himself as? He's enjoying the attention IMO.

Moo, he's bored. He needs to keep his brain busy. With excruciating back pain, there's not much else you can do other than answer letters or keep an index. 😉

I don't know, if he sees himself as a martyr.

LM's Log re Letters Received?

He devised a system (likely partially as a record for himself) indicating loads of support.

I wonder if all (or how many) of his entries reflect actual letters written by supporters.

Hesitating to draw broad or rash conclusions, but how many/what percent of his supporters are teens or 20-something females who adore his looks and perceive some sort of martyr status?

And how many of them (and others) are actually sending SNAIL MAIL? This ^ AGE group???

Yes I know about the FB & IG pages, reddit threads, defense campaigns on funding raising sites, etc., but suspect some or many are not spontaneously erupting from the general public.

Okay, possible. A rhetorical post.

i do think he‘s actually getting these letters, i do also think he’s of course aware of how it will come across when people will share his replies to their letters online and it’s a pr opportunity for him in a way

i wish MSM would share more of the letters i’ve been seeing so we could discuss them here, lol.

with my friends in their 20s and 30s writing letters and sending snail mail actually seems to make a come back!

MOO probably around 90% are what you described with the other 10% being <modsnip: unnecessary> people who have issues with the health insurance industry and see him as a hero.

IMO LM's legal team is probably directing him to write heartwarming letters to his fans knowing that many of them will be shared publicly.

True about being bored. I'm sorry, but I'll have to disagree and think LM loves the attention. In his letters (mini manifestos) he claims to have to take a stand over the unjust Capitalism placed upon the common man. "Somebody had to do it", LM made himself Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Lawyer accuses PA police of violating Mangione's rights

Police in Pennsylvania pulled a fast one on Luigi Mangione when they arrested him at an Altoona McDonald's, according to his lawyer. Cops gave him a snack strictly so they could get his DNA, his attorney said.

Police also violated Mangione's rights, his lawyer now alleges, when they seized his bag and rifled through his belongings, telling the public they had found a "manifesto."

The alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione will no longer appear in Manhattan federal court this week as previously scheduled, according to an entry on the court docket.

Instead, Mangione's federal case was pushed to April 18, according to the court docket.

It's for things like this that I really need the laughing emoji...

🤣 Do police officers normally give out snacks?

I thought LM was eating breakfast when nabbed.
