From the last photo, you can definitely see that there is a man. I don't buy the idea that he has fake eyebrows, a fake nose, a face mask.
Yes. This prosthetic body part/mask thing is giving me flashbacks to when people thought the Delphi killer was wearing a respirator and had a baby goat under his jacket.

It was completely unnecessary for him to do that, and it would have risked giving him away. It would be quite embarrassing if his nose fell off.

It would give a whole new meaning to "got your nose!"

Manicured eyebrows and generally expensive tastes. I'd put forth that those aren't typical priorities for folks who can't afford to pay (or leverage) high healthcare costs if theirs (or their loved one's) insurance coverage is denied. Seems to me that someone grieving, angry, and/or retaliatory wouldn't care so much about style or appearance to that degree anyway. I mean, that look and those brows look like someone from the old Iranian aristocracy. :D

I also don't feel that a retaliatory type of perp would be playing complex cat and mouse games. Wouldn't they be more likely to want the world to know what UHC did to their loved one?
I think it's more of an ideological thing than a personal one. He might not have been harmed directly by UHC but he chose its CEO to send a message.

3D modeling?

I don’t know if it was confirmed -it was either this version or a similar station6 version.

I think it’s significance here is that it’s a modern version of a gun used by British special forces in World War II.

Part of this spy/rebel fantasy I think.
Metal of Honor - Rising Sun on PS2 used a Welrod like this one, if I recall. He could be a gamer of some sort.

OHHHHH, that gaming angle never occurred to me. I really like that.

I've thought that there was a lot of fantasy at play here, and that could be part of it. I really think that gun could be the thing that breaks this. It's super expensive, and extremely rare on the whole. He got it from someone, somewhere.

They seem to be; they wouldn't take that sort of risk unless they were sure. They've said they have him on camera hundreds of times, and that's only going to grow.

Once they found that hostel, they were set. That allowed them to track his movements from a particular starting point/finishing point each day.
I can see the resemblance between the taxi photos and the hostel smiling one, but the other ones just seems like a different person. I accept though that they'll be the same person or they wouldn't say they are.

Maybe the gun was stolen and will be returned to its owner without the owner ever realizing it was missing.

If it's similar to a veterinarian gun, and similar to a gun by the British during WW2, does that mean it's manufactured today? He was proficient in clearing the jam - practice and perfection?

Yes. It's still manufactured. He had to have practiced at some point. It's nowhere near as intuitive to use as a normal semiautomatic.

I don't think the authorities would publish pictures if they weren't sure. They know for a fact he was at the hostel, at the Starbucks, and in that taxi. Detectives most certainly questioned the hostel receptionist and the two other guests in the room, the Starbucks personnel, and the taxi driver about his demeanor, clothing, behavior etc.
I thought they may have released some info regarding his accent. Nearly all taxi cabs have cameras with sound inside them nowadays. Especially in major cities.

Ha! I struggle with the Starbucks one being the same too, as I see a white male in his 30s-40’s.

In the other photos I see a Middle Eastern or Mediterranean guy in his mid 20’s.

I trust them with this though. They do this for a living and have access to countless images of him moving around.

I wish I knew more about games TBH. I just never really got into them so much as I got older. I mean, from what I do know about the current state of gaming, it wouldn't be inconceivable for a conspiracy like this to be concocted by a few folks around the world while playing one (and encrypted, under pseudonyms, and perhaps having never even met!). It's a far cry nowadays from my beloved Sega Genesis Hockey. :D

I guess there's nothing of note in that regard, and they'd know from his interactions with several people, to include the receptionist and his roommates.

I'd be super angry if they held back information like that, as it could push someone's decision in regards to calling the tip line over the top. "He looks like so and so and he talks with the same accent."

As an immigrant who lived less than 50% of my life in the US, you can’t really tell I have an accent.
Most of the time I get NY/NJ which always makes me chuckle.
So I could absolutely see him flying under the radar in that regard, especially bc his verbal interactions seemed to be minimal.

Are these kind of guns prone to jamming?
Or was it a 1-in-a-million chance it jammed when it did?

Are there any young men these days who aren't gamers? I doubt this would narrow things down much.

Definitely a different jacket than the one worn at the front desk of the hostel.

Also, I've explored in his white face mask blacks and you can see the perp could definitely pass as a woman in a headscarf and niqab
