Well if it is hatred of the health insurance company it could be another message: you turn our payments into worthless money. Why did he have monopoly money?

Not completely caught up with today's posts but just wanted to say, IMO if you were a person in which THOUSANDS of people know you, report to you, respect you, interact with you, etc... I think it would become "high profile" that you were killed in a pretty much "televised assassination". As much as any of us are scouring the net for clues and information and posting faster than anyone can keep up = Can you for one moment, imagine if you were the leader of an organization where the VAST majority of your employees adore and admire you!? Can you imagine THOSE PEOPLE (which are thousands) are also desperate for answers, questioning the safety of other leaders they work with/for, afraid of their own safety JUST because of the job they hold!? I think this case has brought up so many questions and has essentially changed the way that people in these Executive positions will be able to conduct their business moving forward. Even the employees at the bottom of the ladder are afraid to let anyone else know who they work for, have removed their employer/occupation information from their social media profiles, etc. I wouldn't even have a LinkedIn at this point!
If anyone has a link to whatever article is being mentioned regarding this "AI Program" to deny claims I would be very interested in seeing that b/c I continue to see it referred to in online commentary but I have yet to read about it. I want to see where it specifically states that BT was the brains behind that b/c from everything I know personally, I have never heard such a thing and I fear it's some kind of misinformation but want to read it for myself to see how exactly it was written or what sources it names. TIA
ETA that this is in no way my attempt to say that his life is "more important" than any other, but just wanted to bring to the attention of those who pondered it, that there are a LOT of people who are CONCERNED by this particular murder and the motive for reasons OTHER than just his net worth. He was a human being before he was an executive. IJS.
I agree this is possible and apparently, this is what he did.I think the shooter knew about the investor meeting, knew BT was going to be there, knew what hotel BT was staying at, and made an estimation about what time he was going to leave his hotel to get there. Out of all this info, the hardest to find would be what hotel he was staying at. But I find it totally believable that a determined assassin could figure all this out through various means. A friend/family member accomplice is not necessary.
Ohhh, so they're watching you watch others!Hahahah. I haven’t done it in a while because the app I used is pretty expensive. They’ve also limited some of the things you can now search for (privacy and all).
That, and I got banned for inappropriate use (I did get a refund though).
i think there was definitely some degree of luck involved. even if the shooter somehow had BT's best friend feeding him info, that friend is not going to know the exact minute BT is going to leave his hotel room, lol. at the end of the day, the shooter had to make an educated guess. He won’t have known though what time BT was going to leave for the Hilton, whether he was going to walk there or play the big shot and arrive in a stretch limo. His spending time in Starbucks when BT could have left the hotel during that time means either he had inside info or incredible luck
There is a nice AI app that will give you a perfect headshot from random side glancing photo's- I also "misuse" Image searching...I agree. I just wish the images were better, as that would make it super easy.
These agencies have incredible software that we don’t have access to, but with a good enough image any member of the public can do that same.
I’ve done that myself when I’ve seen someone who appears familiar to me but who I can’t place. Take a picture and upload it to a AI facial recognition site, and you can have a name in seconds.
I’ve also done this with random people at the airport. “This person looks very professional or wealthy, I wonder what they do?”
Within a minute or two, I know their name, their job, and if I want to go further, their address.
Provided they have a photo stored somewhere online.
Yup, my granddaughter sells her outdated clothes to a high end second hand store. They must be in pristine condition and no more than 1 years old. Also the trendy second-hand shops all over NYC with loads of other people’s DNA on the clothes ….
Yeah. The hostel definitely wouldn’t want her talking, and I can’t imagine police would either.ohhhh... how we need to hear from the hostel worker!!
I think she must know more than ANYBODY... but I do gather that she has been silenced, for appropriate reasons.
Drat.
His pause by the trash made me wonder if he took, or was looking for, someone else's empty water bottle to leave as a decoy later to throw them off his DNA . . .I am now more curious as to what he placed on the pile of trash right before the murder.
He is captured on surveillance video at I believe 6:19 am stopping in front of a pile of trash bags and bending over and placing something very small on top.
Anyone know if LE ever announced what it was specifically?
I couldn’t find anything that definitively confirmed what it was. Some thought gum or wrapper of some type…
The water bottle and other wrappers and phone were found near where he fled after the shooting from what I’ve read.
Moo… what if the tiny item he meticulously placed on top of the pile of trash was a monopoly game piece? Size works.
What makes me wonder this is we now know He was leaving behind clues and metaphorical and literal puzzle pieces of evidence behind purposefully. To make a point. Wanting these things to be found.
Which is why it made me rethink one of the first videos they released of him putting something very small on top of the pile of trash right before and right next to the place he would murder BT 24 minutes later.
Normally the idea of anyone doing something like this would be ridiculous. But after all the evidence they have found the last few days… is this really that much of a stretch to consider?
Probably yes.
Just wanted to see if anyone had confirmation on the item he left on top of the trash so I could clear my head of this possibility.

They have DNA from his phone, and other items as well. They likely also have it from his hostel room. His pause by the trash made me wonder if he took, or was looking for, someone else's empty water bottle to leave as a decoy later to throw them off his DNA . . .
As expected, I found the following information BBM:"Explore how we’re using artificial intelligence safely and responsibly to create efficiencies and simplify experiences."

I would love to hear from her! But, I also am concerned for her. People could show up at the hostel wanting to get info, both good and bad people. Or try to get her personal info .Plus, there is the icky feeling of knowing you interacted with a killer. I hope she's doing okay and I'm grateful for the investigation she is keeping silent.ohhhh... how we need to hear from the hostel worker!!

I think this guy understands technology and limitations, and has planned to maximize chances of success using the best resources he had. Reactions about this crime being sloppy I think come from people used to the flash-bang miracles of TV Show and Movie criminals, who by virtual of script writing and movie-magic are given every best resource to pull off the ultimate crime or heist. I think this guy went into the knowing he would eventual get caught, but trying to get as far as he could in whatever plan he had.
There is an article in the Atlantic titled "The UnitedHealthcare Gunman Understands the Surveillance State" Unfortunately paywalled, but the headline captures the idea that helps his approach.
The UnitedHealthcare Gunman Understands the Surveillance State He has an understanding of technology and how to manipulate it that most criminals lack -
Agreed. “don’t hate the player, hate the game”As expected, I found the following information BBM:
"The use of the allegedly defective AI model, developed by NaviHealth and called "nH Predict,"
"The nH Predict model was developed by NaviHealth Inc, a Tennessee company acquired by UnitedHealth in 2020 for $2.5 billion, the lawsuit states."
"UnitedHealth Group has been deploying AI and ML applications at-scale for more than a decade. Currently, these efforts are focused on reducing administrative burdens and ensuring health care workers can focus on tasks they are uniquely qualified for."
"Coverage decisions are ultimately "based on CMS coverage criteria and the terms of the member's plan," Albright said, adding that the lawsuit "has no merit."
"Aaron Albright, a spokesperson for NaviHealth told CBS MoneyWatch that the AI-powered tool is not used to make coverage determinations but as "a guide to help [UnitedHealth] inform providers ... about what sort of assistance and care the patient may need."
"The plaintiffs are the families of Gene B. Lokken and Dale Henry Tetzloff, both now-deceased patients who were covered by a Medicare Advantage Plan policy provided by UnitedHealthcare. from at least November 2019 to 2023."
There may have been other things I wanted to point out but BT became CEO in 2021, a lot of the problems they are referring to were problems prior to him becoming CEO. They are actually problems that have always been around in the healthcare industry and are not specifically due to anything related to BT personally. The anger regarding the coverage decisions may as well be more about the CMS coverage criteria and terms of the member's plan. There are criteria involved in those determinations that are beyond UHC's control in the matter. I can't speak to details related to those particular lawsuits but when you are dealing with someone who is on Medicare and have a supplemental policy, the terms of that coverage is spelled out before any of the patient's experience these medical emergencies/situations. In all accounts of what I read in the articles, the AI tool is not "denying" claims/coverage.. it is being used for other functions related to the entire process. The named tool, was developed by NaviHealth, not BT... so again, I see people incorrectly stating online that he himself developed this horrible AI program TO DENY claims...which is completely false.
I completely understand the frustrations people experience with their medical insurance. I truly do, but it is NOT due to any one person, it is the entire healthcare industry practices of all involved that culminate into this horrendous problem. You have member s who defraud the insurance companies, you have physicians/facilites who are defrauding the insurance companies as well as the members, you have insurance policies which are set up based on state or federal laws ... The issue is much bigger than the CEO of one organization. Again, the anger directed at this man personally is insane to me and this shooter either hated him personally for some reason or wrongly views him as the entire face of UHC or the US Healthcare system.
Playing in the garbage bothered me as well- its an unlikely thing to do under almost any circumstance and perhaps even less likely if you're on your way to murder someone and the clock is ticking. I had this wild thought that maybe he stopped at Starbucks to get a water bottle and then planted DNA on it from the trash.I am now more curious as to what he placed on the pile of trash right before the murder.
