To me, it's a TJ Maxx type item. Used to be desirable, but no longer impressive.

Speaking of TJ Maxx, what were the earlier comments about a TJM bag about?
During the search of Central Park yesterday, LE found a TJMaxx bag which appeared to contain clothes, although they haven’t said if it is related.

Healthcare is a whole other world. Patients and healthcare workers are used to being ignored. All the methods you mentioned don't work. Not saying shooting people is the answer either. But Healthcare is a whole other world once you work in it or are deeply affected by the politics of it. Companies literally don't care regardless of what you or a mass of people do. Seen it for far too long.
Oof. When my dad, suffering from the cancer that eventually killed him, had to deal with bills from my late mom's cancer treatment (after she died from cancer), I lost all trust in the American insurance system. Imagine coming home from chemo at 82 years old and confronting bills from your wife of 50-plus years cancer treatment that were dated after she died? Our system is an absolute mess. I understand the frustration.

But I think the choice of a Tommy Hilfiger jacket is simply because the shooter likes the brand. Could as well have been Ralph Lauren or whomever designer.
I don't think the jacket makes any particular statement. He just wanted to get rid of it.
Is that the jacket worn for the actual shooting? With powder on it?

Police discovered monopoly money in a backpack they believe belonged to the masked assassin who gunned down UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown, law enforcement sources told the Post.

The colorful play money was found by NYPD detectives inside of a gray backpack hidden in the brush in Central Park on Friday that may be the one the gunman ditched after the shooting, sources said.

Not really as far as assassinations go, but serial killers, yes.

Son of Sam sending those “teasing” letters to LE and Jimmy Breslin, the Zodiac Killer with his taunting letters…bravado and gamesmanship.

But nothing is coming to mind similar to this. A one and done (hopefully) killer.

Most serial killers eventually get caught because they repeat their crimes. (Not the Zodiac, though).

This guy seems to have done the job and vanished.

If he doesn’t do another murder like this, we may never find out his identity or his motive.

JMO
I haven't been able conjure up any assassination type killers, but as for serial killers BTK also comes to mind..He taunted the police for what over two decades? Finally, around 2005 he taunted them again which led to his arrest.

I'm just not coming up with any assassination type killers. But how do we know for sure he doesn't have any other victims and a connection hasn't been made yet? Anything out there re: unsolved murders of higher profile individuals (not necessarily healthcare related).
Earlier, someone mentioned the serial killer Israel Keyes and his meticulous nature is so similar. I got chills thinking about the similarities.

Edit: grammatical errors

Well he supposedly dropped his water bottle and phone in the alley way from 54th to 55th Street that he ran down...so not the smartest tool in the shed, MO

He hit him in the leg because he wanted to immobilize him, he wanted to make sure he shot him in the back.

So by hitting him the leg is twofold, first it didnt bothrt him he suffer.... second he wanted to make sure he destabilized him so he could shoot him in the back to kill him.
Why would he want to shoot him in the back?

They didn't see him exit the bus terminal. And the GWB is well covered with cameras.

You would think there are cameras in the GWB bus terminal. NYPD must be racking up lots of OT looking at surveillance tape. Maybe he's hard to spot if he's in different clothing. JMO.

$400 backpack and Tommy Hilfiger jacket...another couple hundred? B&T Station Six-9 costs a couple grand or so. What kind of black and white sneaks did he have on, another $200 or $300? Seems he had funds.
Plus, he apparently paid cash for the bus, hostel, Starbucks and McDonalds, so he must've had quite a stash of cash on him.

UnitedHealthcare Headquarters partially surrounded by fencing as hunt for CEO killer continues

KMSP News 12/7/24 UHC Headquarters

MINNETONKA, Minn. (FOX 9) - Fencing partially surrounds the UnitedHealthcare headquarters in Minnetonka after the company’s CEO was killed in New York. A FOX 9 photographer captured footage showing the campus entrances blocked off by fencing on Saturday. There was also a police observation trailer placed nearby...

I guess this was a quick way to respond to UHC employees who feel endangered. The company has apparently not commented on the fencing.

He also left the hostel and checked back in the next day with the fake NJ ID. So i believe that implies he used a different ID for the nights prior? Or somehow checked in without ID previously? I live in a smaller state and actually was not asked to show ID when I recently checked in somewhere, to my relief because I had left my wallet at home by accident. Maybe the hostel even gave him a pass at first without ID but after a few nights said he needed ID or they’d need to kick him out.

That seems to suggest that the night he spent away from the hostel, he spent elsewhere in the city and at the very least acquired a new ID and maybe other items used in the crime.

Does bring me back to thought of an accomplice or organized help. As others have stated, he would not have been able to prepare his weapon or the bullets with the etched words in his shared room at the hostel. Maybe he acquired all of these items that night he left the hostel from a third party.
Not completely sure he checked out and in again-supposedly if you aren’t back by a certain time, it’s an automatic check out. You have to check back in again.
They didn't see him exit the bus terminal. And the GWB is well covered with cameras.

There are jitneys that you can hop on to cross the GWB, locals says they run every ten minutes or so during that time.
