I'm curious as to everyone's opinion (may have already been discussed and I missed it) but to me that Starbucks person looks nothing like this other person unless there is some severe cosmetic tinkering in play.

Is it just me or is he looking directly into the camera? Could be accident. But I mean it really looks like he is glaring into that cab cam. Not to mention he switched to a healthcare / someone sick or susceptible to illness type mask here. (Which could further point to healthcare anger and motive)

Again… I’m probably reaching here…. Big time.. fully admitting that I’m likely wrong. Anyone else feel like he’s looking directly into the camera? On purpose?

With all the other messages he left behind… (engraved bullets and Monopoly money in backpack) it is hard to look at his cab escape photo and not look for another message he could be attempting to send in one of the last captured photos of his escape.

On the other hand … more logically it’s just the most common type of mask for people in NYC to wear this time of year. So throwing it on opposed to the other face mask was just the most logical option during escape to change appearance enough to get out but still wearing a mask no one would question or ask him to remove.

i think the jackets are all part of the plan to always be looking different. this slows down any investigation attempts to trace him as he moves across the city

Did he leave his stuff, including his many jackets, in the shared hostel room when he was out and about casing the city in those ten days? Did he speak to the people who shared that room, and has NYPD and the FBI learned anything from them? Are they getting lots of calls on their tip line?

Puffer coats are bulky. Where was it? Would not fit in the backpack. He was in the cab 1 hour after the shooting. Where did he leave the puffer?

I have a puffer jacket that rolls up pretty tight. I think he had it in the backpack. Took it out in Central Park. Replaced it with the one he was wearing (Tommy Hilfiger). Dumped the backpack. The video of him riding down 85th he could be wearing this new jacket already.

Going into the mind of the killer - I wonder if the way he is feeling now aligns with how he imagined he would feel before doing this. He likely envisioned what it would be like, but people are often not good at predicting how they will feel in future scenarios (ie, affective forecasting).

If this was his first murder, his response will likely be extremely different than he imagined. FBI profilers talk about how first-time murderers are unprepared for how they actually feel after committing something they may have planned for and/or fantasized about.

MOO: At this point I’d be shocked to learn the perp wasn’t connected in some way to the group that hacked UHC. He is the living embodiment of how they act online: brash, clever, invincible, juvenile. They intended to bring this “evil” company to heel through cyber embarrassment and when that didn’t quite get results they escalated to straight up murdering executives. Wild. This is going to turn out to be a watershed crime.

Yes, NYC-area 11 pm news just aired them, saying the NYPD just released them. The one from the back of the police car is intriguing!!

I look different in every photo of myself, depending on lighting, angle that my face is positioned, the type of camera, etc. And photos never look like how I see myself in a mirror. It's really not that unusual that he looks different in each set of photos. LE would not be releasing photos and saying they were the same person, if they weren't.

In thread #2, someone suggested that he looked Canadian. That quite an odd statement since Canada is filled with people from all over the world. I suspect the USA is the same.
