So did the shooter wear the same clothes for all 10 days he was in NYC? Or did he bring other clothing in the backpack when he arrived and then ditch them or give them to other people or just leave them in his hostel room? He ditched the backpack and that's the only luggage we know he was carrying, correct? I'm sure LE can see what type of luggage he had with him on the hostel cameras from when he checked in - if he had anything else with him. But I'm imagining he didn't bring a rolling suitcase or anything that would be a hassle to deal with.

Still he was there for ten days, ostensibly only with the backpack that was ditched and when it was found, it only had one jacket and monopoly money. Where did all his other stuff end up, I am wondering - clothing, underwear, toiletry items like a toothbrush etc? Or did he literally travel to NYC with just the clothes on his back and a pack full of monopoly money?

He is probably an American. UHC is an American company which operates only in the US, and has no impact outside the US. It is of little interest to people outside the US.

He may have ancestors from the Middle East, but right now nothing points to him coming from anywhere else.

UnitedHealth Group Incorporated is an American multinational health insurance and services company based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Selling insurance products under UnitedHealthcare, and health care services …

We are a health care and well-being company made up of a diverse team around the world dedicated to making health care work better through two distinct and complementary businesses: Optum and UnitedHealthcare.

And that the DNA is essentially insignificant in this case because he may not be in a database, and neither is his family. IMO, some families/religions/cultures would never submit their DNA to a corporation willingly. Some have no doubt of their family origins, MOO.

He did that all by himself but where was he all those days between him arriving in NYC on the 24th and the killing? He was there for 10 days or at least left clues that gave the impression that he was in NYC for 10 days.
He was rehearsing his plan so it would be second nature when he executed it. I think he did run-throughs many times to work out most of the kinks. That's certainly what I would do.

I hope LE is looking through tapes of the locations leading up to the execution to see if he is spotted before the day. That's days of tapes, though, so would use up precious boots-on-the-ground time for LE.

[DBM because misread timeline.]

I felt that LE must have heavily scoured all airports of a given radius around the city. Could a departure out of the US happened with little notice? The shooter has mastered a pretty complicated script getting around to all these spots where he has been seen. Hopefully some airport / travel experts can weigh in on ways he might have been able to skip the country????
How did he skip the country, nhmemorymaker, you ask?

Cargo ship.

He could be a contract helmsman for cargo ships (ergo: highly intelligent, detailed-oriented, fast-moving, multi-lingual, comfortable in urban settings, comfortable with annoying sleeping arrangements like roommates, knows where lodgings are, knows where to stash stuff, in and out of the Eastern Seaboard all year long, has very loyal close friends, charming, worldy-wise, confident, prone to theatricality and showmanship, etc.).

Most importantly : He can bring his gun and bike wherever he goes. No one checks. No id required. No cc required. No airport x-ray machines or security checks to worry about.

LOL.
Moo.

Did he do laundry?

Also, he went out of the park and then back into the park before exiting for good, I wonder if he--at first--took the wrong exit from his plan, so he went back in and cycled to the farther spot OR did he still have the backpack and realized he neglected to drop it, so he cycled back in to do so.

Do any of you familiar with CP know if it was found between the two exits he used or before the first exit?
I missed that about him exiting the park twice. Do you have a link? TIA.

I’m thinking mostly about why is details haven’t been called in, if he lives in the US. I suspect he doesn’t live there and he’s out of the country, but if he is American, he’d have to be the kind of American you wouldn’t think of naming as a suspect. Doctor or similar.
Privileged or independently wealthy in real life? Living in a secluded upper middle class property. Put a thousand into Bitcoin in 2012, doesn't foresee need to re-integrate with economy anytime soon?

Whomever mentioned perp was a full fledged Maxxinista - I am with ya.

I see they have the backpack in stock on the floors of some Best Buy stores as I type. Two at the Rego Park store this moment. (I have no clue where that is, just using it as a NY example.)

If he flew in from somewhere, he could have accumulated everything in the time he had between arriving in NY and the murder.

Not familiar but the first time 85th street was said as exit, above the lake.
Seventy seventh is across from the lake.

Total speculation so the following is all MOO, but I suspect he bought all of his clothes in the city. A TJMaxx bag containing clothing was found in Central Park by LE — they haven’t confirmed if it’s related to the suspect, but there is a TJMaxx on Columbus Avenue and 100th Street, less than a 10 minute walk from the hostel.

Grad students, med students, dime a dozen in the NE with all the universities. What could an ins co have done to destroy a research project, or to immediately suspend access to meds, jeopardizing lives and livelihoods.

With the taxi image, I think, because we’re seeing a single still frame taken from a video camera, with the eyes permanently looking at us as we view the image online, it comes off as him staring at the camera, but I think it might be his split second of realisation of where the camera is and having being caught on it, as he leans forward to pay the driver, having remained off-camera skulking in the backseat for the rest of the ride and video.

Apparently make-up … not obvious, but highlight and shade can trick facial recognition, examples in the study does shade the nose bridge. This is possibly what’s seen in hostel. Around eyes in taxi.

Interesting. So the people who saw something effeminate (which I don't see) are maybe not imagining things.

I think it strange that he is showing so much of his face. I thought he would try to be more covered up.
