Said it earlier but worth repeating: if we agree someone must of had access to intimate details of the victim’s schedule one explanation could be the ongoing ransomware attack at UHC. They could easily still have access to, say, his assistant’s mailbox - or his own. Plus these groups are usually a) anti-capitalist b) based in Eastern Europe c) filled with young males and d) always need to have the last word. It’s an intriguing possibility to me.

Per CNN, shooter had been staying at a hostel on the upper west side for the past few days. He always wore a mask around the hostel, but authorities did find an image where he didn’t have the mask on.

They were able to pull finger prints from the water bottle and phone they found.

LE is really moving fast on this.

If there's not a match found in the system, that means he's probably not been arrested before.

As i said earlier my prints are on file, twice for jobs i had, so not just criminals.

That is an odd combination of words.. ."defend, depose, deny" especially the depose part.

Obviously, all three start with "de" .... But what do you think it means?
My thoughts were it related to insurance filing claims. Using a search engine I found this info:

From "Know Your Meme" :

Hours into the investigation into Brian Thompson's death, detectives revealed that the shell casings found at the scene of the crime had the words "deny," "defend" and "depose" written on them. Internet sleuths quickly connected the words to a 2010 book by Jay Feinman, titled, "Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don't Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It."

(N57UH) United Healthcare Services Inc Gulfstream G550 by Andrew Mauro | AeroXplorer Photo Database

United Healthcare has a corporate jet. That's probably how he flew to NYC.

My husband gets to go on his company's sometimes with his boss and the CEO just calls and books it, they pick a time, then they decide they want to grab coffee and take one more phone call and then the flight takes off an hour late, or his boss is itching to go and they push it up an hour. Even I can't keep track of when the plan is coming or going.

I'm just saying it would be really hard for a random hitman to track the CEO on his corporate jet to the private airport where he lands and then follow him to his hotel to figure out where he is staying :)

If he had no insider knowledge he would assume the CEO was staying at the Hilton, where the conference was taking place.

I just suspect there is a love angle to this hit.

Maybe his phone or email was hacked and that was how they found out his morning plan.

I don't know but this looks more and more like someone said, a foreign hit job.

<modsnip - quoted post was from an unapproved source - the following refers to pictures of the person shown below>
Is that definitely a male? It looks like it could be a female as well. Chilling to see him smile knowing he is going to kill someone in cold blood shortly after. :Shudder

Just logged on again a after last night.
I think I've caught up but may have missed it.

Has it been stated how they traced him to this hostel on Amsterdam?

No, but I imagine it was surveillance footage.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing a cream-colored jacket, black face mask, and black and white sneakers. Officials said he was carrying a gray backpack.

Witnesses told The Post the suspect had been spotted near the vicinity of the hotel, on 6th Avenue, milling around.
Doesn't sound like a "hit man" per se and more like he was stalked by someone who had a reason to hate UnitedHealthCare. MO

It's this hotel, correct? Google Maps

I've actually been to a conference at this hotel. I'm in a different industry and it was not for investors only so I'm sure the check-in process for UHC was different than my experience, but it was easy to walk right into the main areas of the hotel and security was typical for midtown with event staff, not security, handling check-ins.

I do think it's odd the suspect was lurking around for hours enough for a witness to notice but not enough for security or the police to notice.

ding ding ding. I think this is personal. I'm not sure what hotel BT stayed at but his family or personal secretary would..I know there is a marriottt up the block, which would make sense that he entered the Hilton, walking eastbound on 54th st. I assume there was an accomplice at his hotel, letting the gunman know when he left etc
If I was attending a conference on my billion-dollar company tab, I would stay at the closest fancy hotel to the event. And if I was looking for my victim, I would start by looking at the closest hotel and then move outward from there.

One photo looks like there is a faint indication of a mustache "shadow." I think it's a male, but of course don't know for sure. jmo

Just because you gave prints for a job doesn't mean those will be available for LE to search.
