Welp, if AT & CO. had planned on overloading this Court with paper strategy, they've found out quickly that Judge Hippler is not the one. No, nope, nopers. He is meticulous and pays attention to every detail.

He remembered things in the recent hearings off the top of his head that the D couldn't and he had no qualms about calling them out. Hippler is the perfect Judge for this type of case with lots of detailed information and I know AT is dying that she can no longer sugar coat and whisper talk Judge Tripps. (You know he is so thankful he's no longer on this case) LOL

JMO
Yeah, Hippler is sharp and to the point. His orders are so clear and so thorough.Tripps was thorough and fair. I liked him too but he is a different sort to Hippler.jmo

Haha, I see Jx3 wiping his brow of a fine sweat as he kicks back with that cocktail. Rest easy and enjoy Triple J!

First we had Tripps and now we have Hipps. And hey did you notice the name of Hippler's main clerk? Trent Triple!

BK is incredibly dense. He could have gone to any gun show, completely anonymous, paid cash for as many K-Bar knives as he wanted, no direct paper trail to him.

But no, BK orders a weapon online, Amazon!!!! Delivered to his house! Charged on a credit card!

Talk about idiot. Just one more nail for the prosecution to hammer in for the jury!!!

  • 1122 King Road is where the Idaho student killings occurred on November 13, 2022. Four University of Idaho students were murdered, and BK is the suspect charged.
  • DM is one of the surviving roommates who lived there. She likely made the 911 call after finding the bodies, so she saw something important.
  • DM saw a man in black clothing and a mask around the time of the killings.
  • Check the 911 call transcript for her exact words. She mentioned waking up to someone knocking and seeing a man in black with a mask.
  • Theres a statement from the preliminary hearing, but the trial's ongoing, so the public is not privy to all info yet.
  • In the 911 call, DM reported seeing a masked man in black clothing walking past her.

"Check the 911 call transcript for her exact words" needs further explanation.

Call is not from affidavit. My apologies. DM's exact words are from affidavit concerning description of someone being in the house.

Hope that clears it up.

One day, perhaps a transcript of the call will be available (played during trial). moo

Additionally, to be clear, see the following (if interested) concerning location of the knife sheath found at ONE of the crime scenes.

I also later noticed what appeared to be a tan leather knife sheath laying on the bed next to MM’s right side (when viewed from the door). The sheath was later processed and had “Ka-Bar” “USMC” and the United States Marine Corps eagle globe and anchor insignia stamped on the outside of it. The Idaho State Lab later located a single source of male DNA (Suspect Profile) left on the button snap of the knife sheath.

He didnt plan to murder when he bought it, so apparently its source of origin was lost in the mist of time in his mind.

Yes. Something set him off that week...maybe an expulsion letter from the PhD program? Something tipped the rage.

Prosecutors have said they will seek the death penalty if Kohberger is convicted at the trial set to start in August.

The judge has issued a gag order for everyone involved in the trial and won’t allow cameras in the courtroom

My feelings are that the expulsion pushed him to act faster than intended as he knew he'd have to leave the state.

Which issues do you see her raising?

I've focussed mostly on the warrants and IGG - i don't see those things coming up.

Some of the substantive stuff about arguing exactly where he was will be in play obviously.
I'm afraid she is going to go after the surviving roommates and try to make them look dishonest and imply their involvement, somehow.

It would be fabulous if he left a review on Amazon to sink him even further!

“I cannot recommend this K-Bar knife. The snap was very tricky to open. I give it two stars.”

(I can day dream).

Or... he saw an opportunity, knowing he'd be leaving.

I agree, but also believe that this won't go down well for the state in court. Makes her look cruel.I think potential juror will have a lot of empathy for D.M and B.F in court, whether BK is guilty or not. JMO

I think BK grabbed something handy such as a magazine or newspaper and wrapped it around the knife blade maybe forming a tube-like shape as he left. This might have resembled a small hand held vacuum to the stunned D.M.

No doubt. A video review, dressed in black to boot.

Don’t feed my mind these ideas - my imagination goes into overdrive. LOL

As for that blood spot on the railing, they did not enter it into CODIS as they already had the name of the contributor on the sheath DNA (BK), and it would have removed that sample from CODIS.

That’s something they’d have to look at later. I’m sure that’s already happened.

Seems a bit odd they just can’t enter samples 1, 2, 3 & CODIS spits out results for each separately, similar to how fingerprints might be done, but I won’t claim to understand how that stuff operates.

I'd appreciate any insight you can give me. I seem to be missing the position of the footprint. How is the footprint described? Parallel to the threshold? Point towards the stairs, pointing towards another direction? I can easily see a print being left on the way down the stairs, parallel to DM's door. There was a little step up that goes to the living room from that space near her door, so you might have to put more pressure on one foot to go up the little step, or put more pressure on a foot coming back the other way going down the step.
I'd normally not jump to a conclusion like this because the logic is extremely flawed....

But since IMO the defense has shown a tendency to act like "if someone didn't see it how do we know it exists" and their continued framing of DM as a unreliable witness.... DM's statements don't match completely 1:1 with either a) the direction of the footprints or b) the proximity of the footprints to her door (if we want to throw a little conspiracy out there). IMO

So IMO, the implication is that the killer (BK, let's be real) either came extremely close to opening DM's door OR might have left a set of bloody footprints that are pointing in direction of the stairs.

If there's a bloody footprint pointing towards the stairs it means that BK either killed Xana and Ethan first and tracked it upstairs. Or he returned upstars after killing Ethan and Xana 2nd to try and retrieve the sheath. MOO

Since MM and KG died on a bed I think the chances are much higher that it was mostly Xana and Ethan's blood that was mostly left around the house. JMO
