If he is called, then obviously he will need to have some idea of where he supposedly was and wasn't.

I actually envision him to be rather impervious. I bet AT made it perfectly clear she's in charge, he's to say nothing, just small talk. He is probably annoyed and bemused to be represented by a female blonde attorney for whom he cannot show anything but disdain, however well he might hide it.

It's HER job to to defend him, to spare his death sentence. I don't think he happens to care, either way.

I know that HOA amenities vary widely. Trash removal may or may not be included in some HOA's a$$e$$ments.

Per info below, "trash" (presumably removal) is specifically included as HOA amenity at BK's parent's property. Could not help it, had to see it in black & white myself, found it at ¶ for Location.

• "Has Homeowners Association
• "Association Amenities: Security, Gated, Clubhouse, Playground, Tennis Court(s), Other, Trash"

The fact that it IS an HOA amenity would bother me more. Trash is also included with my HOA, but part of our monthly fee is used to pay a private company to provide the service. If a homeowner is behind on paying their dues, the HOA’s first course of action is to have their trashcan removed. Because why should all of the other homeowners pay for their trash service? So, if a neighbor put their garbage in my trashcan without discussing it with me first, I would assume they had their own removed for nonpayment and we would have a problem.

I think it's possible he took 270/Pullman Moscow Highway east to get to Moscow. His car is seen in Pullman heading toward 270 around 2:53am. It's traveling southeast on Nevada St towards 270. It's then allegedly picked up again 3:26am going west on Indian Hills Dr in Moscow and then again at 3:28am going west on Styner Ave at Idaho State Highway 95 (video captured the vehicle not displaying front license plate). These three videos/photos are not disputed to this point by the defense.

There is apparently an additional capture between 2:53am and 3:26am of a white sedan traveling east on 270 in front of Floyd's--the defense says this isn't him. But I think it's possible it is--he traveled east on 270, which becomes Highway 8/W. Pullman Rd in Moscow. He drove east past the King Rd area, turned right somewhere off Hwy 8, then drove back west toward King Rd, getting captured going west on Indian Hills and Styner.

Yes, it's possible. I was speculating with a 'what if' there's no further video of white Elantra for relevant times after Floyd's Cannabis, ie the Red star coffee company off of 270 on the outskirts of west Moscow. If the white sedan shown via Floyd's Cannabis is, or if the state argues that it is, BK, then there are roads west of Red Star where BK could have headed north or south I guess in order to circle around and then onto Indian Hills. Jmo

I think Sunshine Road that turns south off Moscow Pullman Hwy intersects east of Floyd's cannabis (but going from memory so ICBW) and this is another route that BK might have taken. Moo Sunshine Road eventually takes the driver to Sand Road and onto Palouse River Drive. Just not sure how BK would have got to Indian Hills from there without turning up on video footage at intersection of Palouse River and hwy 95 or from businesses in that area. That is assuming there isn't any for that time (*around 3.24/25 in order to be on Indian Hills at 3.26ish).

I've got a feeling/am speculating state may leave BK's route into Moscow alone but will concentrate on linking SV1 with the 4.48am location of BK (phone and Elantra). Imo, here it is much easier to present a logical and likely route via expert analysis. If the jury get that, then it doesn't matter much re the route he took to get to Indians Hills. Jmo

- the biggest issue is definitely not Idaho state police’s fault. Rather, it is their misfortune. The fact that two well-known dealers (later arrested and let out in WA) were residing in the proximity of that house is always prompting other, not implausible, versions of the events. People do read discussions of the case everywhere. They listen to podcasts. They watch videos. So the same questions are always raised.

This being said, Idaho police is doing a beautiful job. As a neighbor, I occasionally feel proud of them. This is not some sermon about a shack. This is modern science.

Re: bagging his own trash to keep it separate from the family trash/disposing of his own in neighbors' bins....

If BK is as intellectually smart as discussed, he would or should realize that even if his family's trash was checked for DNA (but his is separate/not there), testing of his family's DNA would reveal it as belonging to a close relative of his if nothing else. MOO.

Yes. And as I have said, I occasionally have questions about the Idaho case, but when it will be finished, it will be over. I hope it won’t be DP either way. Idaho lives next to an overall progressive state and benefits from “wealth redistribution”. It has to be taken into account.

It was reported that when BK was moving into the apartment in student housing, his father urged a neighbor to become BK's friend as he didn't have any in the area. I think it likely that at least that member of his family knew he was odd and had trouble making friends, felt sorry for him as a result, and likely made accommodations on his behalf.

Many parents might do the same if their child "wasn't fitting in."

Agreed, but BK was a 27 year old grown man. If I had a grown son that I dropped off at College for a Doctorate Degree, it wouldn't even be a thought to approach apartment neighbors like that. How very odd.

That is why I suspect his poor family has been dealing with BK's unconventional behavior and covering for him his whole life.

That's a good point - he would have realised that LE almost certainly had his sheath. But why did he not think "Oh well, thank God I cleaned it so thoroughly, so I don't need to worry about it."

As vets of the Pistorius case can vouch for, i don't think it makes sense to apply heavy logic to a chaotic crime and then the staging afterwards.

For instance, things go wrong in the murder process (evidence at crime scene, living witness). Improv and change of mind in the staging (phone turned back on to find his way?)

The point is not why he would stage in any particular way, but the existence of staging at all.

e.g when you are driving around before and after the murders with phone being turned off for crime time and back on mysteriously - the point is not whether we can reverse engineer a logic to it but the very existence of it.

In every case I have followed, the killer has done very stupid things after the crime in an attempt to stage.

This article is a good reminder of how much effort was put into the investigation from the outset.

LE did not just “select” BK because he was an odd type of man with a white car who was lousy at making eye contact.

And to me, the defense strategy to say why did you change from a Nissan Sentra to a Hyundai Elantra will not matter much. The video will show it is blurry at best and a re-review of the still frames showed it was an Elantra. Investigation was moving quickly and this was before the genealogy search was made.
