is there a known connection to the victims? from a post upthread it sounds like a no and perhaps a chance encounter that he obsessed over.
Not that we know about, or has been stated publicly by investigators.is there a known connection to the victims? from a post upthread it sounds like a no and perhaps a chance encounter that he obsessed over.
For as much flack as she tends to get from casual MMQB observers (like me) AT has been doing a great job for BK.Not sure what you mean by "bite the bullet." AT is a skilled DP-qualified lawyer. Are you suggesting she should give up defending BK? I'm confused. Of course, a defense attorney would prefer the client get off but if that's not possible, lessening punishment is thought important, especially in a DP case.

any reason why they would withhold that? if there was.Not that we know about, or has been stated publicly by investigators.
There's a possibility of a passing encounter, but there's also the strong possibility that this home and these victims were targeted because they fit the perpetrator's fantasy, somehow, and he'd never actually met or interacted with them in any way before he murdered them.

There has been a non dissemination order in place since very early days of this case. Virtually everything we know has come from what court records or hearings are public or only redacted rather than sealed.any reason why they would withhold that? if there was.
not sure about his past but he seems like a bit of a reject? that house was party central as well right, so mr reject targets the popular crew.
Absolutely agree 110%. It's AT's job (which she is well above par) and BK's Constitutional right, which I can respect even though I think he is a brooding, budding, wannabe SK psycho. For as much flack as she tends to get from casual MMQB observers (like me) AT has been doing a great job for BK.
She’s constantly trying to reduce the scope of things she has to deal with at trial and thus evening the lopsided odds. Questioning the admissibility of every piece of evidence, and laying the ground work for avenues of appeal.
Some of the filings and arguments are moonshots, for sure. But I don’t see how BK gets any better defense than what she’s providing. He’s extremely lucky.
While I dont believe that there’s even a 1% chance he’s found Not Guilty. She’s his best chance at mistrial via 1 holdout (however unlikely, though he would SURELY be retried until they got the verdict they wanted) or being found guilty and avoiding the DP.

His father allegedly told LE that BK didn't have it in him to kill anyone. His family made one public statement supporting him and said very kind and thoughtful things about the victims. Other than gossip and a likely false stories that the sister accused BK of this, that has been all they have said. Other than that, they have been quite private. AT has said they are strong and standing behind BK and have strong faith he will be exonerated.sounds like fr her health she should quit. its not biting a bullet its chowing a cannonball. Any info on what his family position is? the way one of the article reads they were thought to have suspicions.
Basically they are saying exactly what they should say, and what you'd expect them to say. I can't imagine Dateline didn't use rock solid sources when they painted a completely different picture of the family's suspicions. His father allegedly not believing his involvement was consistent with this statement though. His father allegedly told LE that BK didn't have it in him to kill anyone. “First and foremost, we care deeply for the four families who have lost their precious children,” Kohberger’s father Michael Kohberger, mother Marianne Kohberger and sister Amanda said in a statement released to People through Kohberger’s Pennsylvania attorney. “There are no words that can adequately express the sadness we feel, and we pray each day for them.”
The family also voiced their continued support for Kohberger.
“We will continue to let the legal process unfold and as a family we will love and support our son and brother,” they wrote. “We have fully cooperated with law enforcement agencies in an attempt to seek the truth and promote his presumption of innocence rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions.”

It is a long multi-day drive from Washington State back to Pennsylvania. It is not unusual for parents to fly to where their kids are in school and drive back home with them for the holidays. I know of 4 families who did the same thing last Christmas with their grad student adult children who are scattered around the country. interesting point to raise though, why was dad with bk when they got stopped that in that semi famous video ? i presume that is the electra in the evidence as well? but yeh your piece seems to rule it out.
I strongly think that there is a connection to at least one of the victims. It will come out.is there a known connection to the victims? from a post upthread it sounds like a no and perhaps a chance encounter that he obsessed over.
Not sure if you are asking about one specific aspect of this, but I do remember this being reported, at some point early on, pretty much as stated here. I do not believe the call was supposedly made by BF, but was made, IIRC, by someone else, using her phone. JMODid we know this before?
Interviews on November 13, 2022. On November 13, 2022, D.M. was inside the house when the murders occurred and saw a figure dressed in black (hereinafter “intruder”) when she peeked out her bedroom door around 4:00 a.m. Shortly after seeing the intruder, she went downstairs to Bethany Funke’s room. The two girls fell asleep. Roughly 8 hours later, a 911 call was made from Bethany’s phone at 11:56 a.m.
