I think it's easy to wonder how did nobody recognize him because he was right there, but look how many different ways he has looked just since his arrest. He's had hair, no hair, facial hair, no facial hair, he's lost and gained weight and I feel like in every photo I've seen he looks different. Then we have a man on the bridge looking down and with something covering his head.

I think of Dennis Radar (BTK serial killer in Wichita, KS) he was a church deacon, he lived in the town for 20 something years, raised a family there.. blended in. I think it's truly most disturbing when the monsters living among us don't look like monsters. It's really unsettling that someone is capable of a crime like this and then going back to life like nothing happened.

Absolutely agree, dramatic difference in pre murder pics of RA vs booking photos of RA. Major weight gain, mustache and 12 inch long goatee hiding his face IMO.

I cannot believe with how seemingly limited of access people will get, that ANYONE would even try. From what's been reported, the judge made very clear what would be tolerated from the press.

I think it is an appalling decision by the Judge to exclude the sketches

The Sketches are not evidence and were not put out by the Prosecutor -- just an investigative tool by LE. If anything, they are hearsay which is generally not admissible at trial. I've not yet read the Court's ruling why they are being excluded. MOO

I hope then that the witnesses that day are put on the stand to verify if Richard Allen is the man they saw or not that day

and yet the state's argument to exclude them states the sketches were not in any way used to identify or lead them to RA.

They won’t get a copy but they’ll get approximately 22 seconds each to look at evidence after trial each day, during a 15 min block of time Gull has graciously permitted them.

15 minutes per day to review released documents seems like a slap in the face of the media, IMO.

They’re witnesses, there’s just no way they’d be excluded. The sketches being excluded is no surprise, as they are considered hearsay. You call those witnesses and ask them if Richard Allen looks like the guy they saw.

It simplifies things and avoids confusion.

They should be evidence IMO as they have been the one thing LE has relied on from 2017 as to what he looked like, well the first one was then the second one was revealed but they couldn't quite decide whether it was no 1 or no 2 or a mixture of both,
And if we go by the rule that the only evidence the state can use is what the prosecutor was involved in them they will be severely lacking in evidence,
I wonder if the witnesses who gave the description for the sketches will now testify, I think they are both good witnesses for the state on the timeline as one was at the beginning and one is at the end so it gives the state two independent witnesses who can provide the times they were on or near trails, what they saw or equally as important what they didn't see,

YBG looks like RA in this line up, imo. Eyes, nose, mouth, lines at mouth, chin, eyebrow.

YBG has the same hooded eyes as RA. They don’t seem to be too common?

YBG is shown in detail with no depiction of clothing the witness being presumably close enough to see the face clearly could describe clothing as well.

So we can assume YBG is in RA/BG clothing since we don’t see and weren’t told otherwise.

Looking at this today lined up with his present appearance I believe the sketches, if submitted as an exhibit, could be helpful to the Prosecution.

Good ruling. The implication that sketches can be considered as a true likeness to the perp is absolutely misleading and could potentially cause future reluctance by LE to distribute sketches as an aid or tool when seeking tips in unsolved cases.

However in this case LE’s various statements in reference to the accuracy of the sketches no doubt brought this on. They ought to be very grateful for the Judge’s ruling in final clarification. JMO
