I just can't imagine him moving fast across that bridge. By reports it's missing planks and isn't something you can swiftly move across, caution has to be used.
Per reporting from TMS a photo album with many photos of the bridge & trail were found in RA's home during the search. His daughter also had professional photos taken there. I would suspect he had walked along the bridge tens, possibly hundreds of times.

More on DNA testimony:

Bozinovski tells the jury that the pink sock found in the creek also had no blood or seminal fluid on it and had three hair strands on it, but she could not determine who they belonged to.

She told the jury that the green scarf from the creek “may not have been related to the timing of the crime.” She says there is no DNA on it.

Bozinovski tells the jury the tank top had no blood or seminal fluid, a swab was taken but could not determine DNA from a partial profile.

The prosecution references an April 11, 2017 DNA report that re-evaluated a black hooded sweatshirt and a swab from an Iphone. The jury is told the swab from the Iphone showed no blood and they could not make conclusions from the DNA.

Bozinovski tells the jury that 22 swabs were taken of the hooded sweatshirt, trying to avoid the blood. She says the first swab was consistent with an unknown male, later tests showed that DNA came from a person who worked in the forensic lab. The other swabs on the hooded sweatshirt showed DNA mostly from Libby and Abby.

Bozinovski told the jury “I found more DNA on the sweatshirt,” but that she could not determine the profile. She says laundry mixes DNA profiles.

The prosecution asks Bozinovski about the July 11, 2017 report on swabs from tree branches. She tells the jury these were done at the ISP post in Lafayette Ind. She says she converted a conference room into an exam room there. She tells the jury she examined branches for blood and skin cells and took several swabs and did lab testing at her main office.

Bozinovski said she found most of the branches did not have conclusive DNA and that 2 swabs tested positive for Libby’s blood profile.

Bozinovski told the jury how difficult it was to get swabs and recover DNA from the creek and says the challenge of testing hair was that it needs to have a skin tag at the root and that natural shedding doesn’t have much of a possibility for DNA testing.

She told the jury she did send a sample of human hair to the FBI that consisted of 72 hairs. The FBI told Bozinovski that 3 of the hairs were “not consistent” with Libby or Abby. She told the jury she chose not to test using “rootless” hair testing as there was not enough hairs to even send and there was a low success rate for the testing.

Looks like they got a new courtroom sketch artist…good
I believe the sketch artists are seated in the reserved media pool chairs. These seats are being "rotated" through the credentialled media so I suspect that we'll have opportunity again to see the previous comic strip sketches back into the dailies once their rotation ticket comes up again.

More about the testing of the branches specifically:

Analysis was performed at the ISP Lafayette Post on tree branches found on and near the girls’ bodies. Several swabs were tested for skin cells, with some branches measuring about seven feet long. Two of the samples matched Libby.

The state sent a set of hairs to the FBI. The FBI identified three hairs not consistent with either girl. No additional testing was performed at that point—Bozinovski said it was because she hoped newer technology down the road would provide answers. Given that analysis often destroys or compromises the original material, the lab decided to delay further testing.

The girls were also familiar with the trails and last time had been there days before their murder, afaik. I remember the girls' hobby, not to mention a name for it!!, which they executed outdoors and in that same area. So RA may have seen the best friends more than one time there, who knows. IMO

I know Libby was familiar with the trails. I wasn't aware Abby was. That was Abby's first time actually walking across the Bridge though.

Not sure, but RA told LE during the 2022 interview that he drove past the Mears' parking entrance on the way to the trails and that he parked by an old building before walking to Freedom Bridge.

A car similar to his was seen on the Hoosier Harveststore's camera at 1:27 p.m. traveling in the direction of the old CPS building.

The Hoosier Harveststore is fairly close to the road. As seen on this video below.

IIRC the other feature of the Ford Focus was the black spoked wheels, but I don’t know if that’s stock or customized. According to TMS, Leggitt (?) testified these spokes with the resulting open spaces inbetween were visible in the HH video.

You asked me this question and I'm having a hard time answering.
"Could you imagine what might have unfolded had all P alleged events happened except for SC driving by that day?"

When the PCA came out, I believed what was said. Then came the D's version, loaded with citations, page numbers, minute markers and that weighed heavily. Then I listened to all the background noise (liars, clowns, twisters) and gave that some weight.

Now comes SC's testimony, filled with inconsistencies and proof of some of the D statements were true. Now I have to question all the rest of her statements. If I was a juror, only knowing what we know at this time, I wouldn't find her credible.

How do you imagine things would have unfolded?
I wasn’t necessarily referring to anything case related. He could have ran right into the family members and killed them as well. Or, had SC stopped, add another body. Would have made the escape much more difficult but I hear gunfire all the time when fishing or outdoors & I don’t go running to see what’s up.

There are things missing from the girls - trophies (panties, etc.). It’s not unreasonable to think he might have access to a suppressor & they’re all tucked away somewhere safe with that cell phone.

Nothing good would have happened had he not been spotted, IMO

Why would he of kept anything?

He knew he had been seen and then that video comes out so he knews he has to get rid of anything incriminating.

I'd have to go back over older stuff but I thought that it was reported that he didn't make an effort to get rid of clothes and other things he had?

When did he dispose of the Ford Focus do we know. If he was covered in blood and left in his car you'd think he'd get rid as soon as.

Same for the gun, same for the alleged keepsake bullet etc.

Now we're actually in court, these things would be helpful evidence to the state no? To evidence that he got rid of things.

Just a general observation (ie not aimed at anyone) and opinion - as we got to trial and the actual evidence started to get presented I was rather hoping that the speculation about things which aren't actual evidence would reduce and the complexities in this case would begin to lessen.

If anything its grown wilder in scope! I can't help wonder if its down to the fact that the state's evidence IMO has been disappointing and inconclusive so far, so people are left still searching for answers?

Still plenty of time this week for the bombshell evidence to come forth (beyond the alleged confessions that is).
