CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #3

BBM. You may have been aware, but it was unclear to me until I clicked on the link. The statement I have bolded was attributed to DM, not a spokesman for RCMP.

So, it cannot be assumed that it accurately represents RCMP's position.

That may have been your point, but I didn't get it until I became aware those were DM's words.
Yes, the quote is attributed to DM and my comment was about DM. I just happened to lump two thoughts/quotes in the same post. Apologies for the confusion.

It would be interesting to have a running thread that just compiles facts and citations - sort of like a living Wiki on the case as it unfolds where things can be consolidated, listed in an easy to follow format: like a timeline of events, major updates, background information, etc. Something updated with major info dumps that a new user can jump in on and quickly have an idea of the essential details as well as maybe a list of remaining questions not yet addressed?
There often is, actually, but it does involve 'somebody' setting it up and doing it. I did see one for this case, but it was in its infancy, I think only 2 posts. Because again, somebody has to do it, it doesn't automatically get done by itself.

It's here Missing! Media, Maps, Timelines *NO DISCUSSION*

3 posts now in fact.

The possibility of an abduction began with the parents. She wanted an amber alert, he wanted watches stationed at borders and airports. They did not demand the RCMP arrange an immediate and thorough search of the surrounding dense forest because the children “wandered”, in fact iirc DM said Jack didn’t like being cold and wet, she said the children knew they had to be supervised when they go outside.
I agree. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it but DM saying the RCMP needed to search far away has always made me uncomfortable. One, he doesn't get to direct the investigation, and two, it sounds like a child-level deflection ("Of course I ate my veggies; I didn't hide them under my plate so don't look there!").

Just catching up so not sure if anyone has linked you to this:

I think people have to accept that, at this point, the RCMP and other investigative agencies are doing their job 24/7, and we don't know what that entails or involves.
I think everyone fully accepts that ,but it does not mean that we cannot discuss wishing we had more information or wondering why certain actions were or are being taken.

Oh excellent, thanks to all who have pointed me in that direction - I assumed there are some people with more permissions than others so a community guided approach where members submit the documents and points and they get it edited in was what I envisioned. Very collaborative as a group effort rather than responsibility falling on a single person. Thanks so much.

With one of the adults already leaving the area and an apparent rift in the relationship... is it possible one party no longer wants the other to have contact with the two children and the children have been whisked off to lay low with a family member?

This could have been arranged without causing the children to actually be reported missing.

That would bring a lot of criminal charges, plus the adults started out with the same story.

Moo

I think I’ve had a bit of an epiphany about why searching has been so focused on the home and immediate environ. Recall much earlier discussion (in thread 2?) about the car depicted without a plate in a reporting pic (linked below). N.S. only has to have one plate on their car, affixed to the rear. The car looks to be in pretty good condition. So imo, just waiting to be registered. (They’d need insurance for it and maybe given DMs reduced hours and MBM being full-time mom, could not afford it.)

So, what if that household has two drivers but only one car? (Other vehicle in the driveway belonging to DMs mom who lives in the camper.) Could it be that the kids went missing while one of the parents were off site in the car? I just don’t know why both would say they woke up together if that were the case? Unless they did and one stepped out to get i.e., milk? Or, unless a member who previously posted perhaps MBM went along with the story Friday morning out of fear until she could safely leave, is correct?

Two Nova Scotia children are missing. Here’s a timeline of key events since the siblings vanished

False reporting of a crime is illegal

I really think of that happened the correct story would have been told to the police by now especially after being formally interviewed.

I agree. But imo, the police would not publicly share any details about who, where, etc., until Lilly and Jack were found. They probably have all the evidence they need except for finding Jack and Lilly. Forensic evidence would reveal a lot about what happened/the why. jmo
