JUST REMEMBER

"Your words have power"

- and -

"You are responsible for your words"

Post responsibly, and move on from discussion of potential legal ramifications. While it is an important reminder and consideration in any case discussion, it is not the topic of this thread that is dedicated to finding out what has happened to Lilly and Jack.

Thanks everyone !

I remember seeing a rapidly rushing (and somewhat muddy looking) stream in one of the photos taken during the search. So, if they are in a waterway (whether because they fell in or were put in), it is also possible that their bodies could be far downstream from where they may have entered that waterway.

I just hope that the current search is successful. And if not that, then forensics quickly leads to answers.
BBM I did see the video of Lansdowne Lake and how fast the water rushed. I was trying to locate how close to the property the lake is. The property lil Lilly and Jack lived on is Gairloch Road which is a long road. It appeared to me that the rush of water could move even an adult quickly upstream. The RCMP's underwater recovery team looked in bodies of water around Lansdowne Station on May 8 and 9, but did not uncover any evidence. Lansdowne Station - Pictou County

I think everyone fully accepts that ,but it does not mean that we cannot discuss wishing we had more information or wondering why certain actions were or are being taken.
Of course. It's a discussion thread, so folks can discuss theories based on the information provided so far. My only point is that RCMP and other agencies are working 24/7 behind the scenes, and in an active investigation, the public is not privy to or owed details on their due process.

I do not think anyone is disputing that.

"But based on appearances, this went in the wrong direction early on and key momentum and leads were lost when they were out in the fields looking for kids that maybe were never there."

This is from the RCMP’s first press release dated May 2nd. Unless somebody retracted their statement, the children were last seen on the road. That addresses the reason it’s believed the children wandered. Of everything repeatedly written by the media, the sentence below is the least.

Pictou County District RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in locating six-year-old Lilly Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan. They were last seen this morning, May 2, on Gairloch Rd. in Lansdown Station, Pictou County.

This is only a small quote from the article where people are giving their thoughts.
The police would have come under very heavy criticism if they did not launch a thorough search of the surrounding area in the hope of finding the children alive.

The likelihood of the children being abducted was deemed very low when the situation was first assessed.
The police called in other agencies and are investigating other possibilities.

Canadian LE are notorious about giving no details. They just don’t. Typically, we know nothing until Trial.

Now, if they were asking for the Public’s assistance and asking who saw the children between Wednesday and Friday we might get more info but they haven’t. Asking that question would tell us what LE is thinking and cast aspersions on the Mother and Father. Publicly I don’t think they’d want to do that.

It also doesn’t mean they haven’t been asking that question quietly as they investigate. Just because we don’t know about it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
How many times can this be stated.

I think maybe some of these experts are on the wrong track too, saying the children were in the backyard. There is still no evidence, except from both MBM and DM that the kids went out the sliding glass doors to the backyard.
I agree, but I think that until the police release other information which contradicts this ,then alternatives cannot be discussed by the media as it could directly or indirectly question the parent's version of events.

At about 2:30 she says “I’m only 16” so that was awhile ago if she’s 29 years old now as was mentioned here.
Owning a Percheron horse is no cheap date. They are huge draft animals and cost a fortune to feed and few people ride them. So I'm wondering if the horses she names are actually owned by her parents and she has a great relationship with them. When I was growing up almost every girl my age wanted a horse. I think it's a thing between the ages of 11 and 15.

If the children were last seen on the road it won’t matter if they were in the backyard. To be seen on the road, they had to have left the house.

I think when this was previously discussed it was thought that this information related to their address i.e their trailer where Daniel said he saw Lilly and heard Daniel.

We do know her mom picked her up from the ambulance so she's at least close enough to call and get the help she needed in the moment.

Yes iirc Persheron’s are a classy and grand horse. All those animals she talked of, the envy of many children, she must’ve grown up either on a farm or perhaps the First Nation’s reserve.

She also mentions back pain bad enough to stop riding. It's possible that's only gotten worse with age so might be relevant info somehow. If she's on pain medications, has difficulty moving/lifting, etc.

That does not explain this “last seen on the road” statement for me. Neither of them stated to the media they saw the children on the road. Their driveway was a fair distance away from the road as well.

No parent would admit to observing their 4 and 6 year old children hanging out on a public road for no reason, rather than quickly bringing them back home to safety.

If RCMP state the children were last seen on Gairloch Rd May 2nd and then later found footprint(s) of one of the children, I wonder why did they not think the children could have been abducted/kidnapped?

I really think it refers to the actual address not that the children were seen on the road. This report was early on when they first went missing. I think it they were actually seen on the road it would have been public knowledge and discussed here.
