CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #5

I'd be so shocked and disappointed if they hadn't searched the homes. Would they really take all that time and effort searching forests if they hadn't checked the place where the children were last seen and heard?

“RCMP officers from various teams are fully engaged in finding out what happened to Lilly and Jack and we’re using all tools and resources to determine the circumstances of their disappearance,” wrote spokesperson Cpl. Guillaume Tremblay.

“Any updates or new information will be provided as they’re available.”

Regardless of breed and I understand what you are saying re dangerous breeds but for a family dog not to alert to a stranger or even follow children of the family even if only for a short bit and turn back
I think this very much depends on the dog. I have two, and one of them alerts to absolutely anything that comes anywhere near our house (luckily we live rurally so not many people walk by), whereas the other dog, who looks more like your stereotypical 'scary' dog, is unlikely to do more than twitch an ear as he snores peacefully even if a bomb went off under him..

I have two dogs like that one barks at a leaf blowing into the driveway the other dog if he barks I know something is up as he is the silent type 😅

sadly, I think this case is growing cold. I hope I am mistaken and that RCMP has a better idea of what happened to the children than it seems.

What has become of these cuties :( Will we ever know?
Hopefully the LE desk jockeys are working full speed ahead with linking tip offs and logging all information into a cross reference database and forensic examinations are taking place in labs

I wonder if behind the scenes the parents have been formally interagated and if the rmpc have received the footage from garioch road they were seeking .

I'm interested in finding out more information about that last sighting in public

One photo I saw of property, looked like RV trailer had a small fenced in area. Maybe that’s where the dog was, I would assume he was used to the kids so probably no barking unless they got him excited. (Not like my mini Aussie who hates all delivery trucks, certain dogs during the daily dog parade and the idiots who live across the street….BARK…BARK. No one can get near this house, but the granddaughters… he just wags and cries). The grans cats… they’d just roll over and work their sleepy paws.

I wonder what cell phone pings, texts online searches and calls have revealed

Might not be related, but could be of interest Child Luring Nova Scotia June 2025

and another Attempted abduction December 2024
and another Attempted 2022
and another Attempted 2021
Please someone reassure me there isn't a predator out there?
I couldn't find anything further about each one, but if these are all true (reported by LE), then it surely might lead to a working child trafficking or pedophile ring.
Add Dylan Ehers to mix and the three boys from last week, and J&L, and there could be a pattern here
Hope RCMP are looking into Lilly & Jack a little closer to the abduction theory, and staying quiet because they are hot on a trail.

I copied this here from my last post so it doesn’t get buried. I think this important in L&J case.
Well it is further away but easy with a car, another attempt City news Report June 9, 2025

It's been a little over a month, good grief. No faith in police. This makes me sad. If they have collected any evidence which they are not going to tell us, it can take weeks for answers. Just my opinion. No snark intended.

Cases like this can take a long time. Don’t lose hope. There are very little good LE resources working to solve this case.
I understand why some folks want to hold onto hope these children are still alive, but I don’t think that’s likely. The best I’m hoping for is justice.
IMO

I think it safe to assume that ANY structures on the property would have been thoroughly checked almost immediately after the children were reported missing. JMO IME following missing children cases
Yeah, it would pretty much be negligence not to search every square inch. And they would not need a warrant as they would have the couple's permission.

Certainly an interesting idea. There is a current murder trial in the US in which the defense has presented an alternate theory as to the cause of death, dog attack. A particularly vicious dog could certainly fatally harm 2 small children quickly. Terrifying thought.
IMO
Yes, but wouldn't that leave some kind of physical evidence, blood, hair, etc?

Here is what Malehya said that morning and let's relate it to a possible dangerous dog in the backyard:

"We always make sure that we're out there with them, watching them, and they happen to just get out that sliding door, and we can't hear it when it opens,' she said.

'They were outside playing, but we weren't aware of it at the time, and the next thing we knew it was quiet.

'We get up and look outside. We're looking everywhere, yelling for them, and I instantly just called 911. I just had the instinct I needed to call.'

If there was a dangerous dog on the shared property, fear for their toddler could be a good motivator for MBM to get away from the Gairloch Rd property. Or if she suspected the dog was involved. This could also explain the animosity/tension that broke out between DM’s family and MBM’s family. If DM wanted to stay and she wanted to leave, or if DM was siding with his family, this, along with bickering families, could be a basis for the apparent end of their relationship.

I would be interested to know what relationship DM’s mother and brother had with MBM and with the children. For example, did they help out with the children? Were they like family to each other?

All speculation and wondering, and all IMO.

It would but as with any physical evidence, it could be cleaned up.
IMO
I would hope that the police already checked for any kind of blood evidence using a chemical test. These people don't seem like rocket scientists, I can't imagine that they would be capable of cleaning so well to remove any or all evidential traces?

Will try this again with documented news. Ctv
malehya stated “we always make sure we’re out there with them”…….
“They were outside playing, but we weren’t aware of the time”… why did they choose to let them play outside this time???

I would think so too. However, in this hypothetical of a dog attack, it might be more likely to occur outside. Would LE use lumenol on the whole property?
IMHO
