I just read all of these threads yesterday so I might have missed something but have they named the stepfather/mother's boyfriend as a person of interest?
I've not seen that in any MSM or LE source.

No updated announcements in the last couple months at all, “all scenarios are being considered”.

"The investigation is being led by a tenacious, committed group of investigators who are gathering and assessing information daily to learn more about the circumstances of Lilly and Jack's disappearance so we can find them," says S/Sgt. Rob McCamon, Officer in Charge (acting), Major Crime and Behavioural Sciences. "All scenarios are being considered, and we've engaged every tool and resource at our disposal."

Early MSM reports had an awkward sentence by the reporter that could be (and often was) misread as DM brother and DM mom both living in the camper. That's the only "source" I know of this incorrect claim that the brother also lived at the same property as everyone else.

thank you I knew I wasn't crazy 🤣

No.

Thanks for taking the time to read all of these threads, and asking this.

No, RCMP has not named anyone as a POI, but they did give him a polygraph test early on.

And most of what we know about DM he said in interviews early on in MSM, so his perspective only.

It seems to be one of those missing persons (children) cases, IMO, that at its foundation is a morass of huge questions, and feels like it might be going cold, but we don't know if LE is making progress and they've got their reasons for not giving any updates, yet...

I hope and pray for them to be found soon, and have a feeling LE and the gov't officials who have 2 memos from CPS about their concerns for Lilly and Jack are working hard to comb through everything and have found some evidence of a crime or foul play to make a case against someone(s) they are following up on so they can make an arrest.

Some curious new info here, like this:

Natasha Haywood informed the RCMP on May 31. She described seeing a young girl holding a young boy’s hand — the boy had dirty blond hair and was wearing shorts, while the girl had darkish hair in pigtails and was wearing a tank top with blue strings. According to police, she said the children were walking toward a Caucasian female of about 50-60 years old with a “loose curl” haircut, who was waiting next to the passenger side of an older model tan or gold sedan with the backdoor open.

I wondered about the bio dad paying child support. In my state, you can give up your parental rights to a child, but that doesn't end the obligation to pay child support. That only ends if someone else adopts the child. I don't know how it is in Canada, though.

Wow! Key new information from the CBC article:
1) DM & MBM both willingly submitted to polygraphs on May 12th and passed.
2) Biological father (CS) passed a polygraph on June 12th.
3) MBM's mother and her boyfriend each passed a polygraph on July 2nd.
4) DM's mother (JM) did a polygraph on June 10th. However... "her "physiology" was "not suitable for analysis" and no opinion was rendered."
5) MBM gave five interviews to the RCMP. In the first one, she described DM as "an involved parent who would help her especially when she was overwhelmed." She also said that there was never any physical discipline.

In summary, there appears to be no evidence that DM or MBM were involved, which only deepens the mystery surrounding the children's disappearance.

I wonder what time of day the lady saw these two children and if it corroborates with the time J and L were reported missing. Also interesting that a car was waiting for them. Took a long time for her to report the info to the RCMP. JMO.

From the article:

"a witness who said she was travelling with her sons on the morning of May 2 and saw two children walking along the side of the road"

So.... Lilly left on adventure with part of her pink blanket? Separated it from the whole, carefully tossed the remainder into the trash, and traipsed off into the woods with merely a fragment?

How does part of her blanket land in a tree and part, in the trash, unless it was already in parts. And it if we're already in parts, and Lilly voluntarily took pony a part with her, who decided that the beloved remainder part wasn't worth saving and Lilly wouldn't want it back?

Something about that blanket ain't right.

J M O

Per the article

"Later, police dispatched a sniffer dog to the area where the blanket was found, but the animal was unable to pick up a scent of Lilly or Jack, the documents say. On May 4, another piece of blanket was seized by police after it was found inside a trash bag at the end of the driveway of the children’s home, according to police.

Police say they confirmed both pieces were part of the same blanket."

Court documents provide new details on missing Nova Scotia children case

May 2nd a piece of blanket found by three family members searching the heavily wooded area near the home. It was found in a tree on Lansdowne exactly 1km (0.6 miles) from the residence. Confirmed by DM to belong to Lilly. K9s unable to get a scent trail from that area.

May 4th a second piece of blanket was located by LE inside a trash bag at the end of the driveway of the residence.

LE say both pieces were from the same blanket.

I won't bother to opine on the poly results since they aren't admissible in court.

ETA as to the witness and the two children she saw with a woman 502 or 60s. I think this is a red herring. JMO

Well thank you all for sharing the article ,greatly appreciated.

That answers a few burning questions and also kind of clears doubt regarding DM and MBM.

And now my question is if the RCMP had this tip of a possible sighting by this witness of two children walking along the road , why not share this with the public ? Surely it may have stopped a lot of the mud slinging and speculation

the easiest answer is, they didn't find it credible or they determined it was different children and/or different day.

"Around 4 p.m., relatives of Brooks-Murray came out of the woods saying they had found a pink blanket down the road from the children's home. The blanket was seized by RCMP and photographs were taken.
According to the documents, a police dog walked for about one kilometre in the area and did not pick up a scent.

Another piece of blanket was seized from a garbage bag in a bin at the end of the family's driveway. Martell tells CBC it was the same blanket but had been ripped apart.

Brooks-Murray told police it was Lilly's LOL doll blanket that she had "sometimes dragged around with her" but had decided she no longer wanted. Martell had been using it to stop a draft around the door, according to her statement.

"Malehya took the blanket from the door because the weather was getting nicer about a week before and she threw it in the garbage," the documents said. "There was already a piece missing from it when she did that because Daniel ripped it off when he put it up."

Do you think the RCMP has possibly planted this narrative to try flush out a potential suspect by putting them at ease so they may slip up if they think the officers are looking in a different direction?

I know we spoke about how the rcmp has the right to insert false or misleading information into the narrative of an investigation if they feel it may help solve a case , do you feel this is why this may be a red herring

so my question is, just how big was this blanket? How big were the two pieces that were found?

If one piece was being as a draft stop against one of the doors, I would think it had to be a of a decent size, like not what I would call a scrap, per se. And MBM says she chucked that into the garbage about 1 week prior to kids missing. (how often is garbage pickup out there?)

Curious also about the piece found "in a tree" down the road a bit. was that piece just a scrap? Or a more sizeable piece like the one used for draft stop and tossed into the garbage?

If the premise that Lilly didn't really use or want the blanket anymore so it was repurposed and then thrown away, where on earth did the piece found on the tree come from? the couple's trash? Or was a scrap kept by Lilly (who no longer wanted the blanket per her mom)?

Was it similar to this?

a rather unfortunate proofreading error

The documents say that in early June, police met with the witness near the coroner of Gairloch Road and Lansdowne Station Road, where she mentioned having seen the children walking north towards Westville, N.S., and that the vehicle appeared to be waiting for them.
