I imagine LE have looked at any deliveries in that area during the timeframe the kids went missing.

I remember that case of the child abducted from their own driveway from a delivery driver in minutes and so many more stories where it happens from a neighbour close by.

But I go back to my original thought if this was abduction it was someone semi-known to the children that they didn't hesitate going with them.

I keep thinking about the tan/gold vehicle and why this tip hasn't been dismissed yet. In the time it takes a person to blink, they're gone.

LE should be at the vigil today for the children and keeping an eye on the crowd who attends MOO JMO.

This might be telling and also if an abduction, would they show up as many criminals do?

No articles for the vigil, only video on CBC and one on Yahoo

I'm not going to be popular for bringing this back up but it's bugging me .
The RCMP's state they have found no evidence on the surveillance of a vehicle on Thursday between the hours of 12am and 5am.

I was wondering how many cameras are in working order on that stretch of road . Let's say there is road cctv put in place from council . Legit how many realistically be in place , at crossroads , entry and exit points from Gairloch Road through landsdowne Station Road, the railway track line .is there anyway to track those on a map say a traffic cam location site

Then there is private cctv , from maps most of the properties are surrounded similarly to DMs property with thick woods . Would they see a vehicle clearly , was the cameras sensor programmed to pick up every vehicle or just those that past by or entered their property?

Then we have trail cams . I wonder how many kilometres they covered and if there was blindspots .

If cameras covered basically all areas and all directions, how did they not pick up a trace of jack and lilly . And if there is areas not covered , could an atv also navigate these areas without being noticed .

One of the neighbours talk about headlights lighting up the tree tops or been seen over the treetops . At first I couldn't understand how that could be the case . But tonight I had the expierence of being in complete darkness no streetlights as a short blackout occurred and guess what the car headlights coming down the road shone upward as they weren't dipped for better visibility as normal and I could see the cars approaching over the trees . So I was just wondering about how much area the cctv encompassed .

I always thought people in the country had trail cams to catch the wildlife. Not sure why a small hamlet like Pictou would even have a ton of cameras. Unless LE know something we don't.

I get what you are saying though, if North, South, West, and East have surveillance cams (publicly or privately) there should be some digital evidence of what direction the kids travelled.

This is the birthday vigil for Jack, there is an officer from the rcmp speaking , Maleyha's sister and belynda speaking too . It is heartbreaking and beautiful too .

I know normally fb links are not allowed but it is the only place I can find it . Its the official find lilly and jack page . I'm crying my eyes out so be prepared it's about 20 minutes 💔 it really hits home the pain this family is feeling.

We live in a remote area of Vermont, on a dirt road off a main road, with a very long driveway. Our property has roads on 2 sides. We use trail cams for surveillance on our property. We know who's driving on the roads, who's driving ATVs on the logging roads around us, who's walking through the woods around us, who's cutting through our woods to poach on the neighbor's posted property, who's checking out our neighbor's house across the road. Everyone we know does the same.

We do like seeing all the wildlife wandering around our property too! Trail cams serve more than one purpose. 😉

It was night, mind you. All the investigators needed to see, to be able to say there were no cars driving there that night were lights in the area of the road (or rather lack of these). No need to have sensors picking up cars or see the cars clearly. It's a remote area with almost no, to completely no traffic during the night. RCMP is not known of carelessly flapping their gums, so if they say there was no traffic that night, I believe them.

'Tis the point of contention. Iiuc LE said that a review of available video didn't confirm any vehicle or driver, but that doesn't say there were no vehicles. We don't know what kind of coverage there is or even what kind of cameras are in play.

I don't think we can rule out a vehicle. LE has only said, in what they have reviewed, they didn't see one.

Why is it a point of contention? We’re not tasked with ruling in or out evidence since we don’t have the means to investigate anything other than read printed words.

HALIFAX — Nova Scotia RCMP say they have found no evidence to back up witness accounts of a vehicle driving back and forth early in the morning near the rural, northeastern home where two young children went missing in May.

Spokesperson Cindy Bayers said investigators conducted a thorough review of surveillance footage from the area in Lansdowne Station, N.S., where six-year-old Lilly and four-year-old Jack Sullivan were reported missing on May 2.

In an email on Tuesday, Bayers said police “found no evidence of any vehicle activity at that time. As such, no driver has been identified, and the presence of a vehicle has not been substantiated as a key element in the investigation.”

Me too, I hope it hasn't been dismissed yet and is still under consideration by LE !

And like the rest of the tips, it just hasn't borne fruit yet, or LE is still running it down or has reached an impasse on this eyewitness account/tip for now.

It's the only tip and/or aspect of this case that still gives me hope that little Lilly and littler Jack were taken away by "someone(s) with good intentions who are keeping them safe".

Hope springs eternal 🌈💝

Ianal but I would hope if and when the kids are found both, especially their mom is arrested for negligence at the very least. Moo The lack of supervision wasn’t a one off imo. I feel Lily took care of her brother more than either of them. I still can’t get over sleeping in that late. I feel like that was the norm for them. Moo of course

Do you all think, that LE is paying always attention to the proper time and date of surveillance videos/photos?

It’s just sad that all it takes is a few keyboard strokes to indicate both children will be absent from school to avoid getting up and ensuring they have breakfast, lunches are packed, dressed appropriately and out the door to meet the bus on time. Neither DM nor MBM have never said what a normal school-day morning looks like but no way do I believe 4 and 6 year old children can reliably get themselves off to school without any parental assistance.

My mind keeps goes back to the word ‘overwhelmed ’. It doesn’t take much to imagine why MBM might’ve been overwhelmed, three children ages six and under, the two oldest possibly autistic living in a mobile home together that’s heated by a wood stove, no washer nor dryer, and apparently lacking financial resources. I think anyone would be overwhelmed. And then it so happens the two oldest suddenly go missing. Her mother immediately whisks her away, how convenient. A big mystery for sure.

In addition a random abduction seems to coincidental. IMO the children know mom is too overwhelmed to pay close attention to what they’re doing, wandering off best fits this scenario.

I agree as well. I also feel that this situation would be approached was differently in the US, "everyone is a suspect" especially children cases over here.
They also had a baby, was the baby alseep? Did she get up to feed or change it while the older kids were up? Seems like it would be a good time to get the kids fed & changed for the day...

You have very good points. I totally get being "overwhelmed" but you still have responsibilities when you have children. I feel like people are very quick to assume children are autistic these days when in reality (& many cases) it's because the children are lacking structure, are board so they tend to get hyper, & development delays due to not having certain typical needs met (ready books to your child helps a lot, playing games, Structure, structure, STRUCTURE & routine help tremendously). We've seen in my profession children get self diagnosed by the parents saying their children are autistic & by the time testing is done it comes down to are these kids actually autistic or are they lacking structure, routine, & emotional/physical care? It's usually the latter & within the year with a basic plan the children are doing tremendously better, regression can & does play a role when parents or caregivers fail to do their duty on part of plan.
& I am not saying that this part is the case at all with these parents but we've also seen many many parents push for diagnosis on many disabilities type for extra income, recently we've had a case where the parents were charged with fraud for it & had a huge judgement to pay the government back the proceeds. (Again not saying these parents are or were intending on doing it, just that it's a very real thing especially in recent years.)
If the children did wander off (which is likely) they could have been unsupervised for quite awhile & pretty often.

Imo jmo moo

When two people are involved in a dysfunctional relationship it’s impossible for one partner to pull both of them out without outside support. Yes I agree the children’s behavorial issues may well have been the result of lack of parenting skills within the home environment. Only to wind back the clock, this case might’ve been a really great example of how kinship or fostering arrangements prove to be the successful solution.

Another thing, on the topic of MBMs overwelmness, it’s been mentioned many times how MBM was a victim of domestic violence since someone told a G&M reporter she said she was held down, DM took her phone, in addition to her CCB being intentionally limited. Whether true or not whoever she told these things to didn’t see it as a cry for help? Why didn’t the person she reached out to do anything? Report what she said to the RCMP or help to get her and the children away to a woman’s shelter. I don’t get how people relish about this information to make DM appear the fall guy, what about those in her inner circle who stood by and did nothing?

As always it’s easy to criticize and judge in hindsight but really, the entire situation is as tragic as how it likely ended.

I want to hear somebody say what was the contents of the backpack . Lilly slept beside or with it . I know it's not going to solve a case but it might help the general public invited to the search to know . What to look out for . An animal may have ripped it apart by now and in doing so spread and separate the contents far and wide in the locality. If it contained toys it would be good to have an image because it would indicate evidence for the case rather than a discarded toy lost by some other child

Interesting, how Daniel speaks on behalf of Maleyha once again. The first time was when he asked people to stop verbally attacking her, for the sake of her mental health.

Martell said birthdays were always full of laughter for the children, and that sense of joy is missing this year.

“There was always laughter in the air and they were always so excited for everything,” he said. “Now, (you) come home and … it’s not fun, it’s just silence and you know that’s a real burden, not just on me but on Malehya as well.”

I thought he meant it as a genuine comfort. Jmo

Robert Parker the warden of pictou county stated he also believes the kids are not in the woods ..strange but it's not considered criminal 🤔
