Perhaps not day trading, my guess is investing in crypto.
My guess is he was embarrassed at his situation so was spinning the general spiel of today's youth when they don't want to come across as doing nothing or seemingly lazy in the eyes of peers jmo

To invest or buy crypto one needs money and we know that the family were struggling so I'm surmising any money going into the home was for necessities not for airy fairy ideas

Police have released no new leads on where the young children could be and have dismissed theories of an abduction after witness statements weren't able to provide any evidence.

Mostly repeating information; but some new photos of the kids.
I don't think it's that LE are disbelieving the neighbor's witness testimony, but that without camera footage it's mostly hearsay ?

It's interesting that LE still have ruled nothing out except abduction.
They don't think the kids are with someone.
Still ... l think they know something we don't.
Would love to be a fly on the wall for their conversations.
Imo

So the missing person's charity are wanting to try rule out a wandering or misadventure. How do they hope to do that if the rcmp could not in 6 months with all available information and technology???

True, there are crypto scammers out there as well.

You don't need much money to invest when they promise you will double or triple your "investment"... They might say $50 or $100 is all you need to start out and you'll make thousands... similar to gambling almost and the scam callers out there where people get talked into cashing in their life savings!

Perhaps there are people who want to search themselves in certain areas (IIRC low lying areas where water levels were up before were mentioned in the article I linked) no matter what has been done by LE, before before the snow flies. The terrain is so vast...

I've seen it on other cases, independent searches carried out after LE has done their best when someone goes missing in a wilderness setting.

For example, in the case of Nicola Bulley in the UK, an independent search was conducted of the river and riverbanks / area where she disappeared whilst walking her dog (after thorough LE searches), and she was later found by "walkers" on the riverbank not far from where she tied up her dog, and IIRC one of them was a searcher.

I hope something will turn up pointing to where Lilly and Jack went during their searches or at the very least, they'll be able to eliminate some of the vast territory surrounding the areas searched by LE.

ETA:

For instance, what if:

They were taken away in a vehicle "a ways" and then dropped off outside of LE's search area?

Or

They went looking for tadpoles or frogs or newts in one of the swampy areas surrounding the property, and their scents were missed or by the time the dogs/searchers got to the spot they walked off the property their scents had faded?

IIRC, there were child sized bootprints aways off (a mile?) found by LE, or a piece of Lilly's blanket, so maybe the volunteers want to search more in that direction.

Just guessing.

Yes and I noticed they are inviting the public to come help too so hopefully something will come of it .

Even if the backpack was found it would at least confirm they went in there

On another note , the blanket was found approximately 1km from the property . I'm wondering how far from the railway tracks is from the property too and if the blanket was found in the same direction. Simply out of curiosity as the reported sound of the vehicle from one of the neighbours stated they heard it turn around or stop at the tracks . Are you good at maps .

I've no skill in maps at all and I'm wondering if anyone can incorporate the information we have onto a map regardless of whether that information is relevant to the kids going missing. It's just a visual for prospective

One of the warrants the RCMP submitted for approval was to obtain camera footage.

BBM
Closed circuit television footage from a redacted location.

I took that to mean video from the Dollarama.

They don’t say. But we do know the details of the tip came from the documents released by the media for the warrant requests. Process of elimination, none of the other warrants listed pertain to investigating vehicle activity.

The list was (from link above)
The released warrant applications are for:
  • GPS tracking data, communication and other records from the cellphones of Martell and mother Brooks-Murray.
  • Video recordings from school buses operating in the area.
  • Electronic records from companies in Montreal, Toronto and Halifax whose names and purposes are redacted.
  • Banking records of Martell and Brooks-Murray.
  • TextPlus messages from May 1 and 2 of three redacted phone numbers. In other parts of the warrants, Brooks-Murray is said to have used TextPlus.
  • Video recordings from the Cobequid Pass tollbooths.
  • Closed circuit television footage from a redacted location.

Most likely scenario.
If it's from a private person's trail cams, maybe there's nothing concrete so far ?
Imo.

I seem to recall at the very start a female neighbour was giving an interview to msm saying she was asked for trail cam footage .

Does anyone else recall this , I wouldn't put it past myself to have dreamt that 😅

According to the docs, the Walmart and Dollarama CCTV had been obtained and reviewed prior to this later bulk warrant request released by the media (page 27).

So, private sec. cams, then.

So MBM thinks Daniel saying the police was not doing enough to find her children, was an erratic behaviour?

Interesting.

Also: the kids were put to bed the last night before in their day clothes, brcause, according to MBM, all the rest of their clothing was in the bags after it was laundered at the grandma's. How much effort it takes to fish out two pairs of pj from these bags? And the laundry was on Wednesday. Bizarre, IMO.
Sounds like chronic disorganisation. I've known people like this where children were turning up at school in the same clothes but on investigation there were piles of clean clothes around the house not folded or put away by anyone. It is easy to let yourself be overwhelmed and the usual advice is to just put one foot in front of the other and do one thing at least. Children can help, even little ones, by taking folded clothes and putting them away in drawers etc. Of they can be taught to fish out clean but unfolded clothes themselves.....at risk of non matching PJs or socks.

Insomnia has me reading these

A few notes of my own opinion and just confusion from the documents posted

- on page 7 it says Malehya was in and out of sleep, Lilly came in a few times and Daniel was sleeping the whole time and didn’t really wake up. Isn’t this a direct contradiction to what we have heard this whole time about Daniel sleeping?

- Malehya doesn’t remember what they did on Wednesday pg 8, Janie says that was the day they did laundry pg 7 Malehya’s google history proves Wednesday was quite a busy day pg 14. Daniel then says that laundry was Thursday pg 15. Daniel says he can’t remember what they did Wednesday pg 16. Detective says he believes Daniel was mistaken about when they did laundry since Malehyas google history shows it was Wednesdays pg. 17. Daniel confirms by looking at bank records pg 18 **I find this interesting given Daniel reporting the handler saying Daniel didn’t have enough detail about what happened Thursday - he seems to have a foggy memory or confusion

- Malehya says she went to bed Thursday and Daniel said he would clean the house that night. He didn’t so she doesn’t know what he did pg 8

- Daniel also got an email that kids were marked absent pg 16 **so this confirms he was listed in the school contacts

- Daniel’s polygraph pg 19 does say he was truthful but rest of sentence is redacted and we have no idea what it goes on to say. We have no idea if it indicates truth for certain things and not others or anything related. M’s polygraph pg 19 does state she as truthful for 4 questions. Everything is redacted. Detective does state that at this point in the investigation that there is no reason to believe criminal involvement but they poly Daniel and M to rule out - I personally cannot tell if “at this point” means at the point of the poly or when the report was released but to me it sounds more like at the point of the poly pg 20

- curious who the interview on May 9th was, name and info are all redacted pg 23

- curious as to why the info/time for M contacting her mother on Friday am is redacted pg 24 she does say she missed calls from M and learned from her own mother of them missing pg 24 but Daniel says M’s mom shows up very quick since she is an hour away, tells police they should check her phone to see when she called her mom pg 17 - ** this seems weird??

- looks like the request for their phones to be analyzed is submitted but there is no follow up in the report on findings

Thanks for reading through the documents, and summarizing your opinions interpreting the info.

I wonder if the person interviewed on May 9th (name & what they said redacted) was someone:

With CPS

Who worked at Lilly and Jack's school

Who was a family friend or neighbor of a family member

""I will never stop searching for my children until they are found and brought home safe and sound. Someone, somewhere, knows something so please bring my babies home." Brooks-Murray wrote....

Another post on Sunday Oct. 26 confirmed Jack was going to be turning 5 years old on Oct. 29, adding that a candlelit vigil would be held to mark the occasion at Stellarton RCMP Detachment."

It will be interesting to see if msm is present and if family members turn up . I would imagine belynda might anyway and it would appear she is open to media interviews and photography

RCMP's officers might give a quick presser too as it is located at their detachment unit in Stellerton.

Is this the unit that has overseen the investigation?

Edited for spelling error
