I get that BT was the face of UHC but he's not the only person who worked there and was literally a cog in the, albeit, pretty broken wheel of the health care system in general.Besides, why should he plead guilty when the charges are not consistent with charges for other single murders. NY says 2nd degree murder is for everyone except Luigi who dared to kill a guy being investigated for insider trading to the tune of many millions. While UHC tries to threaten ppl taking their babies and loved ones to the emergency room, by saying they won't pay for emergency room visits that don't meet their algorithm.
However, while BT and others like him deserved some kind of justice or 'Christmas Carol' like redemption - vigilante justice is not something that I think any of us in a modern society should be able to get behind. MOO.
I agree with your point that 2nd degree murder (according to NY) fits this circumstance more, but, with all due respect, I can't agree with the dehumanizing of the true victim regardless of what he may have been being investigated for and what he did as a job.
All jmo.
