Because, as of late, society has got us all confused! I mean, let's play devil's advocate for a moment. Let's say this was a woman disguised as a man. The MO just doesn't check out. How many women have you heard of in the news commit assassinations? Not Hollywood movies, in the actual news, real life. Yeah, none. Also, the height, build, and stance of this person is clearly a man.

There are a few. Valerie Solanas would beg to differ. But I also agree that this is not a woman in this case.

I agree with this. I do think he’s younger though - early/mid 20s and a student is my guess.

It was the one pic at the hostel. The lighting and angle from the smiling pic made HIS complexion more feminine and his eye lashes were long. They were totally ignoring the other pic that showed him clearly to be a man. These new ones clearly he is a man. Any talk of him being a woman or trying to look like a woman at this time is just nonsense.

Actually, someone compellingly made the case that put the taxi image in niqab and it could still be a woman.

Putting the theatrics aside for a second..on the morning of the murder, the perp KNOWS somehow, that he has time to go to Starbucks and get warm/have a drink. He must have had someone (I assume via phone/earbud) telling him BT's movements. ESPECIALLY, since the walk from the Marriott to the nearest Hilton entrance is very few yards. The walk consists of walking across the street and heading at most 1 minute east to the Hilton. It's pretty dark out still, he had to have been informed that BT was BT and where/when he was about to cross the street. I don't see any scenario where the perp acts alone. Either he has an accomplice or has some sort of relationship with BT. JMO

We already know he's a flirt. Willing to risk his identity by pulling down his mask to show his "pretty smile" to the front desk gal at the hostel. Perhaps he used those good looks to sweet talk a young lady at the Hilton front desk into phoning him when she saw BT exit the hotel. You know, something like, "I'm in town to surprise my uncle. Could you let me know when he leaves?"

What about a non-US group intending to create outrage, scare people, divide society and dominate the news? The wider goal would be to create unease and discontent within the US.

i’ve seen multiple european news outlets (british, belgian, dutch) report on how people in the US finally seem to agree on something; their dislike of UHC. in a way it seems like a bonding experience for people instead of something divisive. obviously websleuths is proof that not every american feels the same way about this!

My opinion, his eyebrows are thick, dark, masculine eyebrows, all natural. His eyes are dark, his eyelashes are dark; everything is harmonious.

IMO, his brows are groomed. Take this from someone who gets her brows threaded and tinted every 2 weeks and has plucked her BFs' brows before. They don't grow in that neatly on their own.

Looks to me like he has a unibrow which would require grooming. One thing he can't change with his appearance are his distinctive eyebrows. Someone will recognize him or has already, imo.

I agree. On WS, people are separating how they feel about UHC and how they feel about the assassination of a person. These are independent things. I’m amazed at the strength and tone of the reaction elsewhere.

Also: the reaction elsewhere is what will be remembered and the assassin knew it.

To me, it looks like a second mask, but black. Double masking is not uncommon to those concerned with contagious disease (although an N95 is a better choice than a surgical mask), and wouldn’t necessarily cause undue suspicion.

What's never talked about is why American doctors and hospitals charge so dang much for services. We've all heard about people being charge $300 for a single Aspirin during a hosptial stay. In other countries, people typically become doctors to help others. In America, they do it to become rich. Doctors extravagant salaries here in the U.S. are unique when compared to what doctors make in other countries. Just saying this to point out that insurance companies are not always the bad guys. Try going to see a doctor for a simple office visit WITHOUT insurance and see how much it costs you. Both are the problem.

Exactly. The amount of planning and logistical detail to pull that off was not done (IMO) by an angry individual over a specific denied claim. Not that there is a profile for such a killer but I would not guess it to be someone w who looks like the pictures being published. This required information from someone close to BT who would know his movements. The evidence left behind by the shooter seems to be a purposeful attempt to divert or distract LE.

The conference itself was to be held on Wednesday, the day he was killed. He arrived in NYC on Monday.

I wouldn’t eliminate the possibility of something like this especially with the change in administration coming. I mean, what was the point of 9/11? They can’t do something at that scale anymore so this is the closest - take out a top businessman on camera on the world stage. Easier to do as he had no security as opposed to taking out a prominent politician.

Why? The US Public response has been scornful of for-profit health. This scorn is coming from both side of the political spectrum. There has not been any outrage about gun control as there is after mass shootings or a push to further scrutinize silencers. This crime united the US people unlike any other I have seen, in a furor over healthcare.
