I think most people have that stuff. They are hardly "chilling items." JMO.
We have a lot of that stuff.
DH owns a S&W 9mm, which is in our locked Jeep, and I own the S&W EZ 9mm which is sitting in the drawer of my coffee table, right near where I'm sitting. 9 rounds (a round is the bullet plus the shell casing) 1 in the chamber ready to fire and 8 in the mag, and my second mag with 8 rounds. We're due to renew our concealed carry licenses this July. I can't speak for others but we are responsible gun owners.
Plus we own about 8 rifles, shotguns, black powder, crossbow, a hunting knife, a couple knives in the tackle box. Some of the long guns DH inherited, his dad was one of 14 and the city dwellers don't hunt and so passed on their equipment to us.
We heat with wood here on the farm with an outside boiler and in MN it gets darn cold out; he fills the stove at least twice a day when it's in the negatives, so he has a few masks with holes for the eyes and mouth. Black Covid masks in the glove compartment. Rubber gloves, you bet because I didn't want a dishwasher when we remodeled the kitchen a couple years ago, I prefer to wash by hand. All kinds of gloves we own for filling the wood stove and of course because it is COLD.
We aren't the exception in this area, believe me. Hunting and fishing are a way of life in the Land of 10,000 lakes. I'm originally a Jersey girl, and I remember grandpa and uncles going to nearby "Pennsy" to hunt deer, and I would bet many people BK knew did the same. Even knowing what he is accused of, and I believe 100% he is guilty, I don't find it suspicious at all of what was found in the Kohberger home.
MOO!
