I’d like to know more about that photo of her on the bridge. Like how did that come about? Was her father present when that photo was taken?

I find it interesting she hadn’t been in court, and I think it’s likely she is set to testify against him.
Wow, just thinking about that, it would certainly be impactful and how sad for her </3

Specifically how the bodies were posed, any items he removed, placement of specific items of clothing, specific injuries, murder weapon (s) and how this all occurred. It really could be any number of things, but it's got to be something that he couldn't guess, or know from rumors circulating around the time of those confessions (in order to have maximum effect).

Also, ( I am really behind, it might have been mentioned)
He may have repeated what he said to Abby and Libby before/ after " Down the hill"

Speculation, JMO

The First Amendment and common law rights give the public access to judicial proceedings and records, including evidence.

The Sixth Amendment guarantees the right to a public trial.

There isn't a State in the country where their respective Criminal (Civil) Statute doesn't govern how and when trial evidence is made public, and it's typically not on demand! While criminal records are presumed to be accessible to the public, there have always been exceptions-- the US Constitution notwithstanding.

To be clear, unless a court record or any part of a court record is inaccessible to the public pursuant to statute, rule, regulation, or Chief Justice Directive, the court may deny the public access to a court record or to any part of a court record only in compliance with the State's rule.

Unspent bullet. Found at the scene, not because police left it there, but because it was found between the two bodies, neither of which were shot - according to trial evidence thus far. Why was the bullet between the bodies and where did it come from?

It's too much of a leap to agree that because both girls died of different cuts to the neck, it means that two people were involved using difference blades. Hunting knives include sharp and edged blades. Ask Kohlberger.

Does anyone remember how Richard Allen was first identified and arrested? I vaguely recall that he was arrested after he was asked to provide finger prints related to theft from his neighbour's shed. Did his finger prints lead to a search of his property in relation to Libby and Abby's murders? Why?
Wasn’t the bullet found buried in the ground beneath them?

Can you provide the law?

Never, ever heard of a judge allowing a special viewing time or even citizens to come forward and review evidence.

Moo
On page 43 of this thread #200, Post# 855. Poster Warwick7 was kind enough to find mention of it in a media tweet. In the past I had bad luck linking posts so I'm sorry I'm not making it easier to access by just linking it.

Yep! And with this one licensed media will get 15 minutes. However, the pre-trial exhibits were available at a site 2 hrs away from Delphi in the middle of the trial.

I think this individual Tweeter got it wrong/misunderstood her Order if you re-read the original tweet and his response to it.

The Pre-Trial exhibits were made available to the media, 2 hours away in Fort Wayne, just as Judge Gull stated ... because that is where the Jury Selection (and ergo the media) was happening on Tuesday. Those exhibits need to be at the same location where the court is in session.

Now the evidence exhibits are available after each trial day in Delphi for the 15 minutes because that is where the trial and the Jury moved to along with the media.

Can you provide link on that.
From what I have read, the search focused to the west of the bridge and a little upstream to the east, on the worry that they had fallen from from the bridge and so would be swept down stream since Deer Creek flows east to west.
The place where they were found could not be seen from the creek. It was on RL’s land in a depressed spot. This depression made it fairly secluded until you walked up to it from the south or any other direction. Add to that the bodies were somewhat covered with branches and it was dark it makes sense that they were found the next day in broad daylight.

This has been discussed a lot and there are pictures of the area surrounded by crime scene tape. The pics are from afar so as to not trespass. All my opinion based on following this for years.

I apologize I meant to send this to the poster you responded to but I can't with this old tablet.

But I do agree with what you say as well.

Much discussion about how this area could only be found by a person very familiar with the area or a really lucky killer .

The headlines about the hair not matching RA were in many papers the night before the trial began.

The public sees this and thinks it's a serious issue that the P overlooked. And th D knows that is not the case. The hair was tested for DNA, and they traced it to familial female relative of Libby/ So the P went to higher priority matters because the killer was not a female family member.

Oct 16th, the night before Opening Arguments:

Delphi murder suspect Richard Allen's attorney claims hair at crime scene belonged to someone else

Oct 15:

Delphi murders trial: Defense claims hair found with victim didn’t match Richard Alle

and another:

Delphi murders victim was found with hair in her hand that does not match suspect’s DNA, defense says

It IS a hoax. It is meaningless. Libby's female family member did not stab the girls to death. The End.
This is an absolutely self-discrediting behavior.

I don’t know whether the ethics questions have been settled. Have they?

The defense seating is interesting because I’m not aware of anyone else provided seating by prosecution or defense who is not a party to the case and thus subject to the gag order. If Motta is now a defense party, when was that arrangement confirmed, and did the information he streamed at any point violate the gag order that covered defense parties?

I hope his involvement in the dissemination of protected information — including photos of deceased children, one of whom was nude — is thoroughly investigated as to whether there were any ethical or criminal breaches and whether there were any profit-driven motivations driving his actions. Criminal perpetuators are not the only persons motivated to sell salacious materials, either overtly or via illegal means.

JMO.
Forgive me but is there anything anywhere that definitively shows that BM is involved in “dissemination of protected information — including photos of deceased children” for profit that needs to be investigated? That’s quite an accusation without any basis. Wow!
JMHO

Investigators went over the case file again and found Allen's statement to an investigator early on. They interviewed him again and he provided more details, to include admitting to wearing the very type of clothing that Bridge Guy was wearing (also corroborated by witnesses). They executed a search warrant on his house, where they seized among numerous other things, his 40 caliber Sig Sauer Pistol.

Testing matched that gun to the unspent round found next to the girls' bodies.

So we have a man on the video (BG) who we know with near certainty was involved in this crime. Allen admits to being there that day, dressed in the same clothing as the man in that video. His firearm is a match for the unspent round found at the scene. That's how you get to a murder charge.

True, but not necessarily a conviction. IMO

Wasn’t the bullet found buried in the ground beneath them?
The girls were found in woods near the trail on Feb. 14, 2017, with a .40-caliber unspent round between their bodies feet from each of them, the document says.
Nothing about the unspent round being buried. Not sure why someone would bury the round instead of taking it with them.

Not sure.......
On 10/16/24 he tweets "Making the pre-trial exhibits available at a site 2 hrs away from Delphi in the middle of the trial? Not great, but again better than nothing."

Part 1: Why Does My iPhone Keep Turning On and Off?

3 Hardware Problem

Sometimes a malfunctioning component can make your iPhone start turning on and off.

For example, this happens when your iPhone is dropped, exposed to liquid or the battery is damaged.

I just want to add, Cicero the blood splatter expert talked about large pools of blood, that Libby was dragged through. And also he talked about Abby's clothing being drenched in blood. And the area beneath her being full of blood as it was absorbed into the ground.

I don'[t know where the phone was before its ended up beneath the body, but I do think it got wet when the girls crossed the creek. And it could have also been drenched in blood during the attacks.

So it would have been 'exposed to liquid.' And it could have been dropped or banged around. If that happens :

" a malfunctioning component can make your iPhone start turning on and off."

I think the D is going to try and say that the phone receiving messages at 4:30 am proves someone turned it on, and someone must have touched it because they needed to hit passcode or use fingerprint, etc.

But not if the battery was wet and damaged. It will shut off for awhile but when it dries a bit, it can turn itself back on.

Are members of the press in the courtroom covering and reporting to the public what's happening in this trial?
Special seats were reserved for credentialed media in advance.
Gull also told the media there are 72 seats in the courtroom. 30 of those seats are reserved for the family, 12 for the media and the rest for the public.

The Murder Sheet lays it out the case over three episodes that there were discussed here. The link to episode one is here as well as linked in the Media Thread:

I share your “Wow” over this unethical behavior.

JMO.

I'd need to hear more information before having an opinion. It isn't clear to me if it actually was familial or a stranger. Or what "wrapped around a finger" means. Is it possible Abby was a hero just like Libby and wrapped it around her own finger unbeknownst to her killer(s)? (This is an opinion, a theory).

Regardless, I'm super interested in hearing more about this hair.

As always, JMO.
I think it's very clear it was familial female DNA. The defense even admitted that.

If it had been unknown, the P would have continued with the Genealogy testing to find out whose it was. But once they learned it was a close female relative, it was a dead end. They have a video of the person with a gun who ordered them down the hill. It wasn't Libby's female cousin or Auntie.

Wasn’t the bullet found buried in the ground beneath them?
This is an excellent example of how words have powerful meaning. The word 'buried' here. A person could think it was someone who took a shovel, dug a hole, put the bullet in the hole, and covered it up. Or maybe it was 'driven' in to the ground by some force.

Since I've spent countless hours in the deciduous forests of the United States, I can say that there is almost under all circumstances quite a thick layer of leaf litter on top of the 'ground'.

So, my best guess is, the bullet was found 'buried' amongst the leaves.
