If he let his hair grow a little or wore a baseball cap and lost the beard, I think he's got a pretty young looking face. Not sure of his age in these images, but seeing as others are already noting on here that he'd have been 44 at time of murders.

You're right, he's ten years old than I thought. So he would have been 44 at the time of the murders.

My point was I don't think "boyish" necessarily equates to "young-looking." I would describe Sam Elliott, for example, as having boyish good looks.

RA resembles an old boyfriend of mine greatly, so in other circumstances I would have no trouble envisioning him as boyish, maybe handsome, even at 44.

This article says Betsy Blair saw BG from a distance of 50 feet. This article also says a witness said that he had some type of face covering. Covering his nose and mouth. From a distance of 50 feet a 5'4" or 5'5" 44 year old man with an obscured face would seem boyish. As others have said, 5'4" is very short for a man and without seeing facial features and being from a short distance I would probably think teen rather than man.

But those jeans. Someone earlier commented about the color and type of jeans. Those are middle aged man jeans IMO.

This is Murder Sheet’s recollection of Libby’s 43 second video, played twice in the Courtroom. The discussion begins at about 33:50 into the podcast. Feel free to listen, I can’t guarantee I got it entirely right.

This is their account of it, suggests it’s very surreal to watch. I’m certain it must be.

Video begins, very obvious the girls are near the end of the bridge, wooden planks, grass and gravel, phone moves up, then a couple seconds showing Abby, phone goes back down, turns upside down and Abby is running to the end of bridge. BG is there but he’s just a very small part of the screen that is upside down, a portrait image.

Audio - Libby comments about the trail ending. They both claim they hear the word “gun”. Abby says “Freaking me out”. BG says “Guys” pause then metallic sound, may be sound of racking of a gun and “Down the hill”. End of video.

They were running? Nobody would run on that death trap unless they had no choice.

If they tried to run from him, they knew they were being stalked, that he had them cornered.

That sounds terrifying. Poor, poor innocent girls.

Was this from yesterdays podcast or did they post a new episode tonight? TIA

Lol, he’s 10 years older than you thought…so, maybe boyish looking after all?????

In any event, personally I’m not too hung up on the accuracy of the description.

I’m five feet nothing. Everyone seems tall to me.

My opinion was solidified once RA was unveiled as the suspect, and he said he was on that bridge around that time. No one else on that bridge suits any of the categories that fit the killer.

IMO

A problem I’m seeing in the comments section of tweets, is that people are confused by the make of the bullet.

So a .40 caliber round is also known as a .40 S&W which stands for Smith & Wesson, who developed it with Winchester.

Now, prosecutors would be better off simply saying .40 round, instead of adding the Smith and Wesson part. That’s because lots of manufacturers make that round.

So going back and forth between .40 caliber Smith and Wesson and Winchester, isn’t helpful.

Great question. But it’s kind of hard to answer this question when the first 70 days of interviews were accidentally lost. JMO.
Do tell.

If the metallic sound is indeed a slide, then there’s your double rack and ejected shell. Forced across the stream then rack again to threaten. Probably would’ve noticed and felt like an idiot if it weren’t for the adrenaline. He either didn’t or forgot.

If that’s true then all of it but undressing happened on north side. I’m leaning towards the interruption was simply Libbie fighting. More and more I think filming was involved. Hence the slip up of checking stocks when his phone was at home. He had one of his 13 or however many burners he supposedly had. Another reason they likely searched his fire pit. I’d love to ask his wife if all those phones disappeared. I’m sure LE has though.

My impression was it was only Abby runnng to the end of the bridge, Libby was already there. At one point BG was close behind Abby on the bridge, according to the PCA IIRC.

I understand that, but this is with knowledge that there is ZERO DNA.
It is not unusual that there is zero DNA. Now that killers know way more about DNA they are much smarter about avoiding that mistake.

There was no SA, and that is one of the most likely ways for LE to gather DNA.

The crimes took place outside in the elements. Another way for DNA to dissipate overnight.

In many assaults the DNA is found on doorknobs, or mattresses, etc. Being out in the woods makes it much harder to find any 'discarded' or touch DNA.

I don't think the lack of DNA means he will walk. There are other ways to show that he was Bridge Guy, imo.

Abby running breaks me. Imagine being on that scary rickety bridge and then all of a sudden that fear is supplanted by the fear for one's life.

Terrifying.

so specific the guy confessed and got a plea deaL. But we don’t talk about that around here. LOL

What??!
What fiming?
What 13 burner phones?
What fireplace search?

I agree. Likely more of a quick run over to close. It seemed she was always lagging because she was less confident of the bridge. She had never crossed it.
I just mean running over rotting railway ties over any distance is a good way to get a broken ankle. He must have really alarmed her.

I know we talked it over a while back that maybe he approached them and they weren't alarmed until they saw the gun, even if they maybe thought he was a bit odd.

This new information suggests they were alarmed by him before the gun was produced, and were looking for a way out before Libby pressed record. They were looking for an escape, but the trail ended there.

So RA just confessed in writing then?

I get that nothing matters in this case - but by any standard, that alone seems a fairly massive problem for the defence
He wrote that confession to the warden. That makes it an even bigger problem, imo. If he had just scribbled a confession to another inmate I'd see it as less important. But writing a 'formal apology' to the warden means he really wanted his confession to be heard by someone who could do something. IMO

OH, and I remember reading earlier in the hearing about the confessions, THE WARDEN SENT THE CONFESSION TO THE DEFENSE ATTORNEYS. Do I have that right?

Question #4:

"Allen’s home was searched last week, with investigators digging up his firepit and towing a vehicle. They have not shared what evidence – if any – was found."
