But did anyone identify RA specifically as the man they saw? This is the piece I’m missing, I haven’t read anywhere anyone identified RA as BG, only that they identified BG as the man they saw?
Timing.

He parked and walked the trail to MHB. He passed the girls on his way.
The witness who was driving to the Mears trailhead also saw the girls just a few minutes later as they exited the trail over i20 on Freedom Bridge.
The witness drove to the Mears access. At the same BG walked to MHB and stood on Platform 1.
The witness parked and walked to MHB abutment, saw BG on Platform 1, she then turned around to make her loop and passed Abby and Libby who were approaching the MHB.
She continued her walk her loop of Mears to MHB down to FB and back walked back to Mears.

RA says he walked from the platform back down the trail, to a bench presumably the Mears Bench, and that he did not see Libby and Abby.

Definitely wasn’t saying it would get him out - I just wondered if in his mind it thought it would get him the interview and maybe a chance? I have no idea. It’s just strange to me.
He had told others that he had a religious awakening and wanted to confess in order to make it into heaven and be reunited with his family someday. He wanted forgiveness for his sins. So I see these confessions as possibly genuine. IMO

Following the discussion of the video, day 4 MS goes to great length to describe the interaction with the witnesses, they take great notes, almost a complete play by play. It’s really worth listening to, otherwise I think only a complete transcript gives it justice. But overall their detailed explanations and observations leave the impression the witness testimony was received by the jury quite positively. As for the sketches, the Judge will decide….. BB isn’t locked in to the YG sketch, admits her sighting was from 50 feet away, she only saw him for a moment, left the impression she may have gotten it wrong but although still insists she saw the man in the photo on the bridge.

Their conclusion on the sketches, considering all, if shown to the jury might not make any difference to the case.

An interesting juror question - Could what you thought be poofy hair actually be a hat? BB answers Yes, that’s possible.

Just caught up on all of the days testimony.

Regarding the video and audio. It sounds like “guys down the hill” didn’t come from BG.

My thoughts are possible there was someone on the road below the bridge that said those words.

Where do you get the info that it didn't sound like it came from BG?

Yikes!

Just look at this looming, wretched mess of a bridge.

I can’t imagine anyone, even a kid, considering this a fun thing to do, but I don’t live in a rural area.

IMO this bridge is terrifying. I imagine some kids thought it exciting to step out on that little platform to the right. Just looking at the picture makes me feel as though I’m falling.

If this was some local amusement, as dilapidated as it seems, just trying to envision these two young girls suddenly having to scamper for their lives increases for me the feeling of utmost terror that must have enveloped them.

Justice for you, Abby. Justice for you, Libby. Peace for your families.

Another news story about the enhanced video seen today

The new, enhanced video was played multiple times in court. It starts with Libby recording the trail and turning the camera to record Abby, who was behind her. Abby is the only one in frame but quickly after that you see “bridge guy” come into view and get closer to Abby.

Libby points the phone down, and you hear the girls talk for the first time in the video. You can hear on Libby telling Abby, “the trail ends here, we have to go down.” Then Abby can be heard shyly saying “hi” to somebody on that video. You hear the man on the video say, “guys,” and that’s when the video cuts off.

I'm Australian and have lived rurally here. This is exactly the kind of place many people would explore and visit. I would have been scared to do it but many, especially youth, would love to visit it.

Question #4:

"Allen’s home was searched last week, with investigators digging up his firepit and towing a vehicle. They have not shared what evidence – if any – was found."

Thank you @lzzyBlanche
As for the OP there is nothing about 13 or so burner phones a or filming.

Lol, he’s 10 years older than you thought…so, maybe boyish looking after all?????

In any event, personally I’m not too hung up on the accuracy of the description.

I’m five feet nothing. Everyone seems tall to me.

My opinion was solidified once RA was unveiled as the suspect, and he said he was on that bridge around that time. No one else on that bridge suits any of the categories that fit the killer.

IMO
He looks boyish now, as seen in his pool hall dance, very youthful, energetic and light on feet.

I thought another interesting bit mentioned in the same podcast was when, on re-direct, the prosecution attorney asked the witness if she saw anyone else on the trails that resembled BG (other than BG). The witness answered "no".

There is water below that bridge.

Would someone graciously help me.

Are the times (below) given by Lawyer Lee correct or have I misheard.

Lawyer Lee mentions something about one witness seeing BG around 2:15pm yet at 2:13pm Libby is recording on her phone.

Can't give a time as lost connection, but it was in the last part. I just want to know if my little old ears caught what she said right because the witness was elsewhere on the trail and Libby was on the bridge.

Yes that was interesting indeed. Overall it seemed to me the juror questions, and there were a quite a few today, were to clarify details or procedures that mostly favoured the prosecution.

Yes, she saw him at 215 and testified right after the testimony that the video was taken at 2:13 and are about 1 mile apart.
