RA has been like that to me in all of his mug photos, almost chameleon like. JMO
Snipped.

I agree. For such an "ordinary" looking person without particularly distinguishing features, he looks different from photo to photo....and police artist sketches!

NOW: day 1 of #Delphi jury selection is underway in Allen County.

Our Russ McQuaid and @MaxLewisTV are inside the courtroom gathering the latest.Jury selection will go through Wed., with the trial set to start Thurs.

It’s now been 7.5 yrs since the murders of Abby and Libby.
My adult daughter lives in a state far from Indiana and has a colleague from Indiana. My daughter recently mentioned the Delphi murders to him. The colleague was shocked she knew about the murders, let alone so many details. My daughter said, "You should meet my mom."

Seven-and-a-half years. Wow. Let's do this thing.

A handful of people were camped outside the courthouse before 4 a.m. this morning, including our Russ McQuaid.
Why? Limited seating for both the public and media.

Only 5 media seats are set aside for each session.

Plus, 12 more for the rest of the public to fight over.

One thing I'd be shocked by is if this story about LE digging up a dead cat of RA's and finding hair that matched DNA from the CS-- I'll be completely floored if that's true. I find that hard to believe, that such a piece of evidence exists and has never been widely discussed in all this time.

That's lightning bolt territory, but probably a tall tale or some kind of misunderstanding. I've heard that on a few sources, though. (Eh, Daily Mail, but others, too.)
If Richard Allen confessed to being the bridge guy in Liberty German's phone video or audio or knows details not released to the public only the killer would know, this case is just waiting for a guilty verdict in my opinion.

I would agree that matching the cat hair would actually be great evidence if LE actually got that evidence. But I also think proving the height of the person in Liberty German's phone video would go a long way in proving the case too.

The theory that the girls were molested may not be supported by autopsy findings, however, because the girls were found unclothed, except Abby who had been redressed, can there really be any doubt about them being molested by RA? JMO
Unfortunately, molestation and sexual activity come in many forms. Since RA had taken photos of his own young daughter posing on the old railroad bridge, its likely some of his crime scene activity included taking photos of the girls.

That's for jury selection. The potential jurors will be seated in the gallery for questioning. When the jury is selected, the jurors and alternates will sit in the jury box and there will be room in the gallery for media and the public.

New mugshot, shaved head. The opposite of poofy hair. Obvious much?

Looking back at the OBG and YBG sketches, today is the first time that I see the "poofy hair" in OBG. It's his cap but with his face down turned (I think he took pains to obscure his face as much as possible), his cap begins to look like a hairline, creating the illusion of abundant poofy hair. And abundant poofy hair connotes youth. Sketch makes sense. Both sketches.

Much maligned, the witnesses did an extraordinary job articulating what they remembered, and Libby too -- captured her abductor, his likeness, his voice, the weapon, the command and the exact point of contact.

Only one man was on the bridge.

JMO
Remember how much we here analyzed the photo and then the short video we saw from Libby's phone.. Entire threads full of questions..
Was it a baseball hat?
Was it a newsboy hat?
Was it a hoodie?
Was it a baseball hat AND a hoodie pulled up over it?
Was it a mask covering his face or a gaiter?
Was it a wig or toupee?

On and on..

I think this was 100% done on purpose by him. He could get away with wearing a similar outfit because "everyone in that part of the country wears that type of clothing" How many times have we heard that? But, if witnesses can't agree on hair color or if he even had hair or facial hair because they couldn't see it or because he intentionally changed things up so no eyewitness would see the same thing??

If he's guilty, he will get what's coming to him.
Unfortunately, given everything that has lead up to this trial, even if he’s innocent, he still may get what shouldn’t be coming to him. JMHO

hear that flushing sound..? Halfway through I think we can expect a confession, I truly don't believe the defendant can handle all the detail and evidence the prosecution is going to throw down. I predict he will have a complete nervous breakdown. mOO

Oh this is going fast! Has the court decided on the number of alternates yet? We might already be 30%+ in the jury selection process, half a day in!
I heard on a newscast that they will go with four alternates.
