I wonder if the Prosecution didn't use a cringe phrase about RA's possible motive because we're going to hear it again. Maybe it's not the Prosecution's wording, but RA's. "Have his way..."

Regardless, I think the Prosecution outlined the case and will build it out now, detail by detail, then hold it up against the man who said he was there, and whose confessions tie it all together.

It will be every bit as violent and tragic as can be imagined, but it won't be complicated.

Murder Sheets, an approved source, reports they saw him sitting at the defense table during the trial. This is what sparked the entire conversation.

This is further corroborated by Motta then tweeting later what he heard during opening statements, so he was clearly in the courtroom at the time.

JMO

Gotcha. Murder Sheets has been quite vocal about their disdain of their competitor, Defense Diaries, in the recent past. I think there's a possibility he was saved a seat behind the counsel table (or with RA's family), not at it, but this is only my opinion so I'll wait for more proof on the matter. I do agree that defense attorneys not "on the case" shouldn't be at counsel's table.

I don't think Tweeting about opening statements is proof of anything other than, as you said, he was clearly in the courtroom (like many others).

As always, JMO.

The Defence has 10 seats IIRC that they can utilize (although Team D had one of his actual "Defense" Team members move to make way and a seat for BM too according to Murder Sheet).

I'm not sure that Judge Gull would even recognize BM to understand just what the Defence pulled off in her courtroom yesterday in getting their youtube guy in without him being credentialled or waiting in line all night in line for a seat like the public has to do.

The MS also talked about how members of Libby & Abby's families couldn't even get seats in the courtroom (elderly etc that just can't sit out all night waiting for a 'public seat' once the primary family members had their 10).

IMO, any seat not taken up by actual bonafied members of the Defence Team, RA's family or Libby & Abby's family, should be going to any other of the family members at the courthouse who could not get 'public seats' once their assigned seats were used. I say this because BM was also hanging with RA's family member last night (sayeth the MS) after session was over and I'd hate to see him start be brought in by them as a 'family member' when there's actual family members not getting seats.

This whole thing reeks of ethical issues once again with the Defence Team lawyers and certainly proves to me why BM et al cannot actually be considered impartial in their DD youtube coverage and why I choose to view and listen to anything they say them while sitting on a mountain of Himalayian salt.

And, also IMO it could also go a long way to explaining why BM 'insisted' the hair was "human". Yeah, yeah, I know he came on later and stated he just came to that logical conclusion himself when in reality he flat-out originally insisted, "it is human" to anyone who questioned it. He only switched his tune to it being 'his opinion' after people queried whether or not yet another Defence breach of the gag order had occured because there had been no evidence whatsoever of that thus far, nor did the Defence mini opening even say that.

Suffice to say, I hope Judge Gull figures out what happened here and puts a cease to the shenanigans IMO.

quite apart from anything else his lack of respect for his own listeners is crazy.

I’m not sure anyone has claimed it will influence the jury. The point is the defense team is continuing to engage in unprofessional and possibly unethical behavior. It’s more of the same, and just reinforces the viewpoint many here have had of them for a while. Even if unethical behavior won’t literally lead to a mistrial, it’s still unethical.

Let’s not forget it was the same group Motta was intimately involved with that suggested doing deep dives into jurors’ personal lives to help the defense. Now he’s sitting at the defense table.

Further, if there is a new trial won on appeal as many seem to think there will be, Motta’s meddling can still have an impact as he’s leaking gagged information to prospective future jurors.

You are correct, this is a matter of opinion. That’s why I annotate that this is just my opinion. Yours may differ. That’s the great thing about opinions.

It would be really great if we could hear both sides of the story.

#NEW: more sketches from yesterday’s opening statements/witness testimony in #Delphi. This first one is Libby/Abby’s family sitting in the gallery. The first 3 people from left to right are Libby’s grandparents Mike & Becky Patty followed by Derek German (Libby’s Dad).

According to the warrant, there are 43 seconds of video. The video was taken at 2:13 p.m. Feb. 13, 2017. Allen told investigators he was on the Monon High Bridge at the same time that same day. How did he not see Bridge Guy? The voice can be matched!

I wonder where she's getting her information that "the voice can be matched!"

Popping in for just a minute to add my voice as another one incredulous that BM is playing two opposing roles at the trial.

A journalist/ media guy sitting with the defense team should not be permitted.

Especially I’m sick of the defense team’s endlessly changing theories. It reminds me of the childrens’ books in which the kids can write their own endings.

Wowzers, I would like to see a link to such a threat by Kevin Greenlee please.

The Murder Sheet is actually a weekly true crime podcast hosted by journalist Áine Cain and attorney Kevin Greenlee, not to be confused with another channel by one Anthony Greeno (also a disgraced youtuber).

They are not the same person.

Thank you for the clarification!

Twice in this article, shoes (plural) are mentioned. JJ saw a pair of black Nike shoes. The jurors were shown a photo of Libby's shirt and shoes.

So what shoe was under Abby?

I'm thoroughly enjoying these sketches and trying to figure out who's who.
