Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #200

The jury knows nothing about these allegations and never will (until after the trial if they care to do research on the case).

As always, JMO
You can't know that for certain, there may be prior knowlege and therefore could make an impact...even if it's just one juror. Personally, I think it's just payback for favors done that got them the seats. So be it. Doesn't change, IMO, the uncomplimentary look of it...for the defense in my view. AJMO

BBM - That is correct, but that's why I said it was JMO.

As always, JMO.

Am I the only one who thought the Pat Brown that was going to be testifying was the criminal profiler? Lol.
No. I really like her and I'm watching her videos and when I saw "Pat Brown" I thought "what?" but a second later I remembered there was a neighbor Pat Brown who was rumored years before (and confirmed now in court) to be the one who found the bodies. Lol

Part 1: Why Does My iPhone Keep Turning On and Off?

3 Hardware Problem

Sometimes a malfunctioning component can make your iPhone start turning on and off.

For example, this happens when your iPhone is dropped, exposed to liquid or the battery is damaged.

This is a great focal point. We need to know the truth about why the phones behaved the way they did to make sense of any timeline whether pro or D.

Interesting. And it probably doesn't even matter that it was sustained. He got the question in and got the jurors thinking....about what, we don't know.

Also, are there coyotes there?

As always, JMO.
Was it sustained? Then it does matter. I mean the purpose of sustaining an objection, is to filter out testimony that is irrelevant, improper, or unfairly prejudicial.

It can not be used or referenced to when deliberating.

I hope Nick isn’t obsessing over the defense and the vagaries of YouTubers this coming week. Hopefully he’s focussed on delivering the evidence he has to hand and doing his job without distraction.
I think he's got their attention. It's going to be very rough going on all this week, crime scene pictures and autopsy results I presume.

By "night before the trial began" do you mean the night before the opening statements?
The headlines about the hair not matching RA were in many papers the night before the trial began.

The public sees this and thinks it's a serious issue that the P overlooked. And th D knows that is not the case. The hair was tested for DNA, and they traced it to familial female relative of Libby/ So the P went to higher priority matters because the killer was not a female family member.

Oct 16th, the night before Opening Arguments:

Delphi murder suspect Richard Allen's attorney claims hair at crime scene belonged to someone else

Oct 15:

Delphi murders trial: Defense claims hair found with victim didn’t match Richard Alle

and another:

Delphi murders victim was found with hair in her hand that does not match suspect’s DNA, defense says

I'm not sure it's a hoax....time will tell when the results come back from testing I guess.

As always, JMO.
It IS a hoax. It is meaningless. Libby's female family member did not stab the girls to death. The End.

Something I learned in the Karen Read trial (by listening to attorneys discussing it each evening) is that, especially for defense teams, often attorneys will ask questions they know will get objected to and sustained. Once the question is out there, you can't unring that bell. You can't make the jurors unhear it. It plants the seed they want it to. Jurors will be instructed to not consider it, but.....

As always, JMO.

The search was called off shortly before midnight, but some searchers continued. Iirc, the search resumed at 6 am but no link so just MOO for now :).
According to Opening arguments, the search was formally called off at 2 am.

But according to family members and some witnesses, many people stayed through the night. You don't just go home to sleep if your nieces or your neighbours child is lost in the woods. Some first responders stayed out all night as well. IMO

Yes it's usually sustained then the judge saying disregard the answer but I don't think they say to disregard a question? But the juror should have been told what sustained and overruled directives mean beforehand,no?

Yes no doubt they’re going to have to describe a lot of grisly upsetting detail this week.

Big week for prosecution this week imo, if they land all this expected evidence they are said to have they could win the jury in the course of the next 6 days.

Fingers crossed they can get all their evidence on the table and show the jury that the Defense is full of hot air.

IMO

Makes no sense to me. If it **just** was under an incorrect name then presumably they would have been actively looking for a person with the wrong name. That doesn't appear to been the case.

I agree, it doesn’t make any sense. Filing under an incorrect name is inconsequential compared to the contents within that tip. It should’ve been easily out sorted through any standard IT program, regardless of the input data file and incorrect name.

I’ve wondered if LE received another tip in 2022 on RA of Whiteman Dr and LE offered anonymity to that tipster until trial. Then it was knowledge of RA’s claim speaking with DD that caused a second look at the earlier misfiled one. IE Perhaps RA claimed he’d been ‘cleared’, even the tip marked accordingly in error.

I could further wildly speculate that RA learned of all the details of this 2022 tip (including the identity of the tipster) and that’s the reason he sought religion and felt compelled to express multiple confessions for the sake of forgiveness. But this is only my speculation!

Objection Sustained: When either prosecution or defense objects to a question or the form of a question, the judge may say "objection sustained." This means that the judge agrees that, under the rules of the law, the lawyer’s objection was well taken. This ruling likewise is not subject to question by jurors.

Plus from experience sometimes someone will send me texts and I won't get it and then a day or two and there it is. One time in a group texting I got 17 texts from the night before the next day come in all at once. Phone was charged all that time and on home wifi.

I think that’s a really big IF. If NM’s opening statement is any indication of what’s coming (or isn’t), I think we’ll be left rather disappointed. And IF I’m right, they could lose the jury in the course of the next 6 days, but that’s JMO as always. :)

I highly doubt they will lose the jury when they will hear the confessions to his wife and anybody who would listen.

Then add in the fact he admitted he was out there dressed as BG at the time in question.
