Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #201

It’s a joke.

The stated weapon makes no sense and arguably impossible physically for sure. It’s either he’s lying about the weapon or duress confession.

Killing two innocent girls does make sense?

If RA preferred a box cutter I can see why very sharp, easy to pocket, readily available and probably some gross kink that he wanted to use it.

A cvs clerk with use a couple of times is a skilled box cutter with no effort, imo.

People just shoot guns for fun. I don’t know why a lot of folks don’t get that there doesn’t have to be an animal on the other end. I’ve shot thousands of rounds in the woods just for fun.

I personally think he did it but sadly this cartridge to anyone seasoned with guns from a rural area, is a nothingburger. A loose cartridge in a common caliber common brand, most common 40 caliber handgun in America. You didn’t photograph the tip and whole cartridge. No evidence marker. There’s better evidence in this case. I hope they drop it.

It seems you’ve missed tons of posts very knowledgeable about guns, shooting and the marks that match RA’s specific gun.

I don’t get why some don’t read back threads to find out the facts and see how knowledgeable folks here are about guns and shooting that also shared that information endlessly over many threads and in details far beyond that elementary opinion that we don’t get that people shoot in the woods for fun.

Anything found under a murdered, molested minor that matches up exactly with the man who said he was nearby in the park at the time the murdered girls were and said he was wearing the clothes unique to he and BG then there is a “burger”

It’s a big ole double cheese burger.

all imo

Can someone summarize what the video shows? I’m seeing reports that the “down the hill” audio isn’t even present?
Media reports differ from between 25 seconds to 35 seconds being played in court. That video is supposedly 43 seconds in total

It doesn’t sound like they played the “down the hill” part.

SBM yeah I had kind of the same thought about the box cutter when I first heard about it, it doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Very possible he lied about it because he did in fact use something from his collection, and as with his gun he kept that weapon after the murders.

I'm more interested in the part more or less about whether or not they can see BG in that video or not.

LIke what is that supposed to mean?!

It shows he had them trapped?

And he had a gun. I always wondered why it looked like it was an upside down semi automatic. Not the way I would pack a gun. I'm guessing he wanted to make sure it was secure and hidden. He wasn't afraid of A and L so he had plenty of time to get the gun out and let them see it as a scare tactic.

Makes me mad as hell. What kind of man preys on children like that? Maybe a really short wimpy guy.

If that is done the same way Richard Allen did it on the lines and off the lines - it is all over the place and somewhat chaotic.

It isn't providing details that only the killer would know, but is interesting if it is similar to how he wrote one of those confessions out of 61.

When all those confessions do come out in trial, however, we will have a better idea.

Agree, a box cutter is highly probable IMO We only know RA became a pharmacy tech at CVS after the murders. But what were his duties before that? If he was involved in shipping/receiving he would’ve become very proficient at slashing with a box cutter.

1. Why is Abby listed first?
2. There was room before he put his name there for Libby to be listed.
3. It looks like Libby was added after he wrote his name.
4. Killing is capitalized.
5. Confess is capitalized.
6. The word "for" is out of place.
Weird...

“It’s not true”
“Just my opinion”

Anyway. Any expert would agree extraction marks at best can only show that a weapon cannot be excluded. It does not connect to an individual gun like rifling does. So yes “junk science” is a bit of a harsh term but court it’s pretty useless. Hence the off court fight between two councils for the one scientist witness who will say just that.

It’s why I’ve been worried about this case since the beginning. I’ve been hoping the PT is riding on more than solitary confinement confessions and bg video. Seeing this cartridge being used is worrying. But another month.

Basically it comes down to if prosecution plays a dna card or not. If they do, I’ll stop sweating, it’s over. If they don’t, Rich is rich. He’ll walk. That doesn’t make me happy I just couldn’t help the play on words.

So without RA's DNA.... you think he will be found Not Guilty?

We know the victims were killed with a straight edge blade, and a serrated one. I don't tend to think of box cutter when reading here.

We know that Alex Murdaugh used two weapons to kill two victims -- most likely trying to feign two shooters. He also had access to an arsenal of weapons yet chose a shotgun and an AR-style rifle. JMO
have we heard the BBM portion via reports of testimony at trial or just DT's opening statements? Because I don't know anything of the sort. JMO

It doesn’t make sense physically.

I think it hangs on beyond reasonable doubt and the juries opinions/teams performance. I’d prefer it a slam dunk.

Basically I’ll be sweating the reveal if there’s no dna. I will genuinely feel bad for this jury and having to live with uncertainty if these confessions arent a coherent slam dunk, basically.

Except, RA has worked in retail for decades. So he is very handy with a boxcutter, Plus, boxcutters come in various blade sizes and shapes. Some are longer and even hooked.

Maybe his fantasies often occurred while he was at work, where he was using his boxcutter?
