Does BG seem boyish to anyone in the small looped clip we have seen? I never thought of this person as being in their 20s. But I can see how other people might.

People with rounder faces often appear younger. That combined with his shorter stature may have led people who saw him briefly in passing as younger.

I agree that the physical descriptions of BG by the witnesses don’t seem to match RA. Even seeing the BG video about the only definitive description I could tell you is that the individual is male…not height, weight, young, old, etc. As one of the other posters mentioned, there may have been other white males on the trail that day. I’m sure the investigation tried to identify everyone on the trails that day and then excluded people if possible. I hope they talk about that during the trial because it does help the BG=RA argument if he was the only male identified during the right time. Does anyone have a source regarding the individuals on the trail that day other than the PCA?

I respectfully disagree.

Knowing that the final audio released is still scratchy, you probably won't be able to hear anything discernable. Probably overwhelmed by crunching walking in the gravel or a swish swish sound from her back pocket.

What about the video? Should juries have to just look at the video as is (10 times smaller and 5 times grainier?) Same question in my opinion.

This is very basic to our system of law.

Sure... let the jury hear and see the original. Then let the experts explain what PROVEN TECHNOLOGY they used to enhance it.

Image not allowing a finger print to be seen from a sheet of dry grainy paper unless you mist superglue into a chamber to attract. Sometimes evidence does not show itself until is it enhanced by someone trained in another field.

No worries regardless... I think raw will be allowed but the expert will also be allowed.

Perhaps on the audio there is a sound of a gun being cocked...
Personally... I am not well-versed in recognizing sounds of guns...
Even fire works I have heard in person have been confused with gun shots...
to the point I even called 9-1-1 just in case...

Which leads me to...
The sound of a gun being cocked being heard on the audio would be a very important part of the D's presentation...

But left to my own devices... as a juror...
I may not be certain of the cause of that noise...

Just asking if this type of questioning/clarification would be allowed somehow/somewhere in court...by experts...
Or in jury deliberations...
Or ???

I looked back at what I first thought when I saw the image, and I thought it was a male in his mid 40's. I don't think the clip changed that.

I agree. Many people were on the bridge that afternoon. Including Richard Allen, as he has openly stated since a couple days after the crime up until today.

This judge is making my eyebrows raise a bit. Some of the rulings just aren't right. JMO I have never heard of a judge not allowing the composite sketches being introduced into the evidence in the courtroom. I feel sure if the sketch actually looked like Richard Allen, it would have immediately been allowed in the trial. JMO

The height description is what gets me. It's very obvious as a female when a man is short, there's no way I'm describing a man as tall/taller if he's A. Around the same height as me (I'm 5'7) or B. 5'4 (obviously)...

Except she is 16 and he is burly being overdressed and he is unfriendly in nature. He is also wearing boots that could make him 2-3 inches taller. I think the overall impression of RA may be bigger than the true physical height of him.

Trial is only about RA guilty or NG, who else was out on the trails who could be the perpetrator isn't an issue for this trial,
I do wonder myself how many people were out there we don't know about, LE may have a good idea about the ones that came forward, but that may not be everyone,
the only ones we know about are the ones LE tell us about, or they reveal they were there,

I wonder if this was just a desperate plea by a broken man wanting out of prison and didn’t realize the implications - just tried getting an interview. It’s so sad the way it’s written - doesn’t seem like an intelligent way to request something official. (I did read an article saying this depiction was as close to the original they could get it).

I don’t know anything about this kind of stuff and if it could be used against him or not. Just seems like he’s gone so weak and little in prison. Not saying he’s innocent. Trying to follow and watch evidence just like every one else while not setting my mind to a guilty verdict before.

We don’t know if RA was ever intelligent. I doubt he is.
Maybe dumb like a fox.

Being weak in prison wouldn’t make him incapable of providing a true confession.

Prison would make him feel far smaller and less powerful than he felt on the trail when he was slaughtering two innocent teens.

I don’t find his dismal writing skills to be sad.
I find it sad that there’s any doubt that he wanted to confess.
