If they even bothered to get it done they probably lost it already!
We know they did, and the FBI assisted with that. They tracked down the phones that were on the trail during a particular time period. Plenty of other things they did poorly though.

My speculation is that there was a lot of chaos and panic from both him and the girls. All my speculation: he sees the van, freaks out, points the gun at her screams at her to get dressed. She's scared, confused, just grabs whatever's nearby to make crazy guy waving a gun calm down.
That crime scene wreaks of chaos. Just what you'd expect from a guy with a chaotic mind, under the influence of alcohol.

Are you looking for when KA asked RA something about ‘I thought you said you weren’t on the bridge?’
It was from RA’s police interview, when he was in the room with KA. I can look for it.
I haven't found MSM on it and have looked. Pretty sure that came from Murder Sheet and maybe a couple of other youtube/trial watch channels.

RA's wife must be going thru excruciating cognitive dissonance... it's striking that she said to him in the interrogation room 'you told me you weren't on the bridge' !!

So she didn't understand that the BG pic is him even tho MOO it plainly is .... & as he tipped himself in after the pic came out, imo HE recognized himself in it.

She knew he was at the scene, could not possibly have avoided seeing the BG pic, & yet somehow she thought it was not him !! Mindblowing
MOO

IMO, I think she recognized that photo of BG as being her spouse - RA.

I think she asked him about it and he denied having been on the bridge at all that day. "That's not me Kathy; I wasn't on the bridge that day, I was only on the trail". (The photo is obviously taken on the bridge - one can see the bridge clearly).

Kathy believes him and encourages him to talk to LE because he was on the trails. RA himself stated that he came forward at the encouragement of his wife ... Had it not been for her, he wouldn't have said a darn thing about it or tipped himself in IMO. But he was caught out by her so he had to.

She knows he's talked to LE ... and life goes on swimmingly for 5 long years. So, in reality she's had 5 years to believe him as there has been zero repercussions to his chat with LE.

Than, BAM, they find themselves being questionned - RA is now a POI and her reaction is, "But you told me that you weren't on the bridge Richard". With this statement she has indicated that she had queried him about that photo - about it being him. He denied it. She believed him for 5 years. Where she's at now is another ball game.

He played her. KA was another of RA's victims ... at least for 5 long years.

And, the fact that he lied to her about being on the bridge that day, despite admitting to LE that he was on platform one of that bridge is yet just another bit of "guilty knowledge" on RAs part.

IMO.

#RichardAllenTrial UpdateMonday morning and the trial is about to get started. Seems likely that the Defense will be calling Brad Weber to the stand today. Brad Weber has become a critical witness for the State’s new theory that #RichardAllen saw Weber’s van at approximately 2:32 p.m. on 2/13/17 and it spooked him causing him to abandon his plan to S.A. the girls. Problem for the State is that Weber had made a prior inconsistent statement to FBI Agent Pohl early on in the investigation stating that he has serviced multiple ATM machines after he clocked out at 2:02 p.m., which had him arriving home after 3:10 p.m. on 2/13. The defense filed a motion on 11/1/24 to allow Agent Pohl to testify remotely this past Saturday from Texas as he has a medical condition which prohibits him from flying. Judge Gull denied the motion. The defense now has the challenging task of trying to impeach their own witness. Stay tuned.

Yes! I’ve listened to 3 different sources that are in the courtroom and 2 have said they heard KA say she knew he had said he was on the bridge and 1 heard her say he said he wasn’t on the bridge.
It’s so difficult to follow along without being able to hear for ourselves!
Thank you for your response and taking the time to look for it! Much appreciated!

Called him by his full name too.
“Richard”
Not Rick or Ricky

I think it might be from TMS but could be mistaken on that. I just know I heard it and/or read it.

Take the bolded with a grain of salt until actual evidence is shown IMO, given Motta's closeness to the defence.

Someone needs to give that FBI agent a lift so he can make it to that trial - he interviewed BW so can clear up any confusion and misunderstandings on that particular situation.

It boggles the mind that the RA family never noticed RA as Bridge Guy all those years. Any neighbors noticed?
Curious if there were any struggles of thoughts [daily] with denial prior to arrest/confessions? Just couldn't make that call? Or maybe someone did make a call?
Curious as to how daughter found out about her dad? Family member? Media?

Question: Would an alcoholic be able to leave a crime scene so clean?
That crime scene was a bloody mess. Without an overt sex act or Allen cutting himself (a box cutter is less likely to do that than a knife), then there wasn’t much hope or DNA (especially when you factor in the damage done by the elements).

You’ve got clothes everywhere, Libby was apparently able to briefly attempt to escape, and this guy would have had to leave the area covered in blood and mud (even if he did take his jacket off).

I think that had he been confronted, he would have eaten his gun (we do know he was known to be suicidal).
