Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #211

Someone posted a video where a man goes step by step with the events leading up to the murder. I’ve searched and cannot find it. It is such an interesting watch. The woman who saw BG=RA and turned and went back to her car, thereby passing Libby and Abby….did she say why she turned around? When her (BB?) dot passes the girls, my heart sank and I wish they had followed her. Apologies again that I cannot identify the dots video. TIA
If I understand correctly, BB made three loops that day, encountering the juveniles as they passed overhead, BG on Platform 1 and then Abby and Libby on her way out, on her final (third) loop. I believe that was a natural turning point, ahead of the bridge.

Oh, yes. If only ...

A little thing with Dr. Wescott… according to Murder Sheet, she claims brief psychosis was in DSM-IV, but isn’t in DSM-5… Pretty sure it’s still in the DSM. Kind of a big thing for the expert to get wrong…

Not only is it still in there, the criteria are slightly broader than the previous version.

Hmm.

Yeah, I can understand someone not knowing every disorder word perfect, but when you're testifying about someone having this specific condition? It gives me pause. You should have mugged up at least the night before.

That cost extra.

Someone asked about the new 2:15 p.m. timeframe that the defense gave for Allen leaving... I surmised it was from the 2:15 p.m. testimony of one girl from the group of girls.

I found an ABC news article that says per the defense,
"He said the prosecution's timeline puts Allen in a parking lot near the trial at 1:30 p.m. but his cellphone data shows he was gone by 2:15 p.m."

However, I haven't seen this claimed anywhere else and other reports say the defense says his car wasn't there at 2:15 p.m.

@iamshadow21, do you happen to know if there's any indication in msm re prosecution getting this point over to jury on cross? That's what really matters imo.

No idea, I was just speaking of my own personal impression.

It's not like the DSM V is brand new, it came out in 2013. And if she's talking about the DSM IV when she wouldn't have assessed RA earlier than a couple of years ago? Concerning.

Yes thank you, it was me! I recall that now, it was about his car because Onstar crossed my mind.

But you’re right, nothing more has been said about it. It can’t be good to promise to a jury and then not deliver, although it still could coming… JMO

That’s right. Didn’t she say only younger people cross the bridge? That would support Libby’s maternal grandpa who said the bridge was a teen hangout. If RA noticed this, could be it became his ‘hunting grounds’.

M00 is, that is exactly where they both were ordered to undress (2:18-2:25).

M00, he had them undress waist down, and after viewing their bodies he chose Libby.
He then forced Libby to take everything off.
He ordered Abby to redress with whatever was in front of her, including her shoes without socks.

He didn't want Abby, but, was going to use her in coercive control to control Libby.

When the van passed by he marched them both across the water. One of the girls could have dropped clothes on purpose, or he could have dumped them in the water.

(I say this because it seems Abby had her two bras on as well as her shirt. Also it seems Libbys pants on Abby were wet 1/2 way down (if I remembered that right).

Now this is something the killer would most definitely know! The details as to why, when, who and how.

Was RA asked what path he took to get back to his car?
It seems no one knows the answer to that question.

My opinion is that the witness who was driving along W 300 N, named SC, was probably seen in her vehicle passing the Hoosier Harvest store surveillance camera at 3:57pm. I think today the Hoosier Harvest store is known as the Delphi U-Store on a map?

Then the witness, SC, sees bridge guy, muddy and bloody, walking along W 300 N. Then bridge guy leaves the road to walk through the wooded area between the trail path and the road back to his car so he is not seen walking past the Hoosier Harvest Store surveillance camera. No one remembers him because people do not pay attention since no one had any reason to pay special attention to someone walking in the woods that day.

When this ends, we can always go through and compare notes. Then, in the very end, maybe some of the podcasters can pitch in to buy the trial transcripts and publish them. There lies the truth.

Would like to hear what is available as well not just read about it and especially those initial interrogations and even the phone calls.

I don't need to watch what happened to him in solitary confinement - not at all.

That's just me, of course.

4:04 P.M.

At 1:34 p.m. Judge Gull has entered court room and court is back in session without the jury. She says that the report from Wescott fits into “totem pole hearsay” and explains that unless the state can cite specific hearsay, she will admit it.

The jury is back in the court room at 1:37 p.m. Defense attorney Jennifer Auger calls Jamie Jones, Richard Allen’s half-sister. She tells the jury that Allen is 5 years older than her and that they lived together all through childhood. She says Allen got married right after getting back from being in the military.

Jones tells the jury that Allen “did not ever molest her or touch her inappropriately.” Auger asks her, “do you love your brother?” Jones responds “yes.” Auger asks, “would you lie for him?” Jones says no. Auger concludes her direct examination.

So, out of his confessions what is real and what isn't?!

To me, if he never messed with anyone (SA) - it could mean he didn't kill anyone either.

I don't feel these confessions hold weight on the details given, what the D's expert analysed and now witness testimony about SA never happening.
