WHAT?! I have never heard of a defendant or defense attorneys or prosecutors or anybody else being allowed to observe jury deliberations.
Indiana is clearly very transparent, not like what we are accustomed to in other trials. It’s been nice to see that the jury has been able to ask questions during testimony.

@SusanHendricks

It’s a question I’ve heard several times today (I’ve asked it too)! “What do you think the jury will decide and can you tell based on how long it takes them what the verdict will be?” My response: I don’t know and no. I know the wait must be excruciating for the families. I wish we could tell based on the time it takes but history will show you there is no formula when it comes to a jury’s verdict and deliberations
Casey Anthony: 10 hours and 40 min NOT GUILTY
Scott Peterson: 11 hours GUILTY
Jodi Arias: 15 hours and 5 min GUILTY

It’s been about 9 hours.

What I do know is that the jurors were paying attention and asking intelligent questions. So as we continue to wait think of the families and have faith in the judicial system.

A side by side I created of BG and RA. Look at the creases on the right side of his jeans. They are the same imo.

This picture/video of RA carefully walking down the courthouse stairs is the most compelling for me.
You can almost hear him. "Guys...down the [stairs]"

I don’t know why the purpose of the sticks/branches was, but I don’t think they were for concealing the bodies. There were lots of leaves on the ground he could’ve used to cover LG especially. Her skin tone would stand out more than AW’s darker clothing against brown leaves.

I think if I was about 80-90% certain and sitting on that Jury I'd still convict. Set him free and it's done. At 80-90% could you live with that?

He can appeal and get a retrial.
Then him,his family and his defense team can really come back and push the miscarriage of justice and the ground breaking odinist theory instead of doing what they did this time around and not really offer anything of note towards his innocence.

I think he's guilty but I do feel kind of disappointed in the representation he had I wish he had better attorneys i know people say "they're the best" but I just feel like they should have pivoted to a different strategy more when the Odin theory was not allowed. It seemed like they were banking on that and once it wasn't allowed they didn't have much. IMO

Seems like they were playing to the cameras and public opinion more than casting reasonable doubt on the state's case.

That wasn’t a knock on my part. I am from London, UK so i generally meant it. It’s Lovely to see a community pull together and be there for the victims of this awful tragedy.
Wasn’t implying anything of the sort, friend. I was simply using your unbiased view & reiterating it for those who might be unfamiliar with small town life in the region. My family has lived here for over 200 years & I’m proud of being from here - might not be for everyone’s taste & I’m just fine with that. Obviously, not all is perfect & not every single person is as caring or honorable or we wouldn’t be discussing this case & trial. It’s bothered me, probably more than it should, how we’ve on occasion been portrayed or how others have chose to behave. Just was happy to see just 1 person not bamboozled by the misleading words of others. Nothing more.

You have my sincere appreciation & thanks.

MOO

Defendant has the right to be present for jury questions etc.

They are not in the Jury Room with the Jurors to listen to their deliberatons.

I don't think the leaves would have covered them that much and I think it would be too much work imo.

Because the large log was between Libby and the creek thereby mostly blocking her from being seen by anyone on the other side of the creek IMO.

Selfish of me to say and feel but the silence and the no media of this trial has driven me mad and I'll be glad when it's OVER!!
I just want justice for Abby and Libby, and some form of resolution for the families that's all.

RA won't even be a blip on my screen once he's carted off back to prison, except as a reminder that evil does come in small packages too. IMO

These eighth-grade friends were part of families who lived in a community. They were not our girls. Their parents thought they would be ok on a one-hour walk on the trails. It was not considered a bad place to be in their town. In fact other locals were there that day.

Now these families are placing their faith in this judiciary system, the same system that employs their neighbors. The families are what remains to advocate for the girls. I accept what they trust.

I just hope Libby and Abby’s families are coping as best as they can in such a horrific situation.

No doubt the rumors that a small selection are sprouting is very hurtful to them as they have shown nothing but dignity throughout but they are nearly at the end of the darkness.
what rumors are you referring to?
