BW will not be a suspect. He has an alibi for leaving work at 2:02 an half hour away, impossible that he was on the bridge at 2:13.

How would you suppose the D will get more funding? I bet they wish they could get the $24k back from useless headphone witness. lol
I think headphones witness was very effective, because state accepted something was done to phone at the 5.30 mark, it was in LE report, he just didn't know what the code was, the defences witness knew the iPhone code meant it was a headphone, and then the state suddenly started talking about oh it must be mud and dirt, oh and it was wet, that's what caused it, but the jury will see in LE report it is there and they will have heard defence expert telling them what the iPhone code is
And they can crowdfund for money, ask the court for money, there are lots of ways to get money, and if a second trial they will know what experts they need to provide a better defence

I’m not sure if my bathrooms and window sills have been this clean since procrastinating finals in graduate school- stress cleaning as we wait! :D:rolleyes:
I hear you! I cleaned our couch and loveseat a little bit ago. Did they need it? Maybe. Did it need to be done today? No. Am I distracting myself? YESSSSS!

To maybe help you understand, just go back & look at the 3 eyewitness testimonies. None of them described the same man in the same way. It’s simply a matter of people seeing things differently. It’s important to understand/accept when it comes to witnesses. I’m sure the actual reasons for this happening are much more complicated. I hope that makes sense.

But you can’t conclude that it’s RA just because eyewitness testimony is unreliable. The state has the high burden of proof, and this is definitely a bad fact for the state.

A couple pics I found in my phone.
I'm sorry RA is BG to me.

Thank you for this and his pants always fit and break the same way at the knee and the tops of his shoes, I'm sorry, I know everyone is sick of me saying it. That is a 29" inseam I'd bet and it looks doubtful he got them altered. JMO

Goodness AB looks like he's aged 10 years in this photo. Wow JMO
Should have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express
Woah How does one become a useless headphone witness? Sounds lucrative. Asking for a friend. MOO
As a GenX I feel like I would be so qualified for this.
And I could also give dvd/cd, 8 track, vinyl, blackberry even dive into some voicemail machine and boombox expert testimony.

Wonder whose phones those were and did they see anything?
The crime scene includes the bridge itself.

Not everyone who went to the bridge went on the bridge. But some did, as we learned from testimony. Some crossed the bridge very close to the time of the abduction. Happenstance. A girl and her friend. Most likely it was their phones. Around 3:30 or 4 iirc.

General reasons for appeal are an unfair trial--often juror misconduct claims, violation of constitutional rights, errors in rulings by the court or incorrect application of the law by the court, defense lawyer ineffectiveness, and insufficient evidence. Just about every criminal found guilty in the US has a right to appeal. Some (wealthy) defendants will have an appeal attorney as part of their defense team right off the bat. Not all appeals are successful. Successful appeals can carry different things: from being sent back to the court and ordered to retry, to the defendant being given the opportunity to a plea bargain, to being remanded back to the lower court for a different sentencing...it just depends on the what grounds were used for the appeal.
Thank you.

Interesting so in that video from Lauren from HTC she mentioned Aspen Connor and his video update. I went to listen to it and he said the Holeman video is 2 1/2 hours so if they are watching that entire video that would have taken up the entire morning. He said lunch and they could be done at 2 today. So that is important to note. I think it makes more sense now why they didn't stay late yesterday if they wanted to watch that video again it would go into the later evening. So coming in today to watch it maybe some needed that clarification before rendering a verdict?

Here's to hoping today is the day!

Did the geofence area also include the bridge? I thought it was just the area around where the murders happened.

We know the tower dumps went back to at least 12:39pm because the defense told us they did.

Thank you for that.

As I recall, the defense here discussed a geofencing report with boundaries including the Crime Scene, and not including the north or south end of the bridge, nor does it include the trail leading from parking?

Do we know if this is the geofencing report in evidence at trial? Is it the Crime Scene?

If the geofence report is a study around the crime scene and doesn't include other areas, the conclusion (as to RA) would be that RA was not at the CS. If the geofencing reports do not include the eyewitness trail path, or the north/south/middle of the high bridge ... that report would not include nor exclude any phone as to those locations. There'd be zero info on a phone that didn't make it to the Crime Scene.

I suppose I'd need a geofence expert to help me understanding why a geofence study of the CS, that proves RA's phone was not present, meets any burden of proof that RA was there at the CS during the geofence study timeframe, and during the State's timeline.

Very plausible seeing as how he'd have needed an explanation for the disappearance of his phone at the time. Especially considering how she supposedly 'recycled it'. I wonder if she was ever asked if she did in fact recycle that phone and keep all the rest of the old phones and if so why?

moo
Yes of ALL the phones RA kept over the years, that one was recycled?? Just another coinkydink. ;) MOO

Seems like to me that the jury might have wanted to compare voices from the le interview with RA to the voice on Libby’s video of the BG.
They had a lot of phone calls from the prison too, to hear his voice. Maybe they wanted to get a visual on him. Was the interrogation on video or just audio?

Oh scrap that, it was in 2022 wasn't it.
