GUILTY Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #219

At about 7 seconds in, I see Abby stop and whisper "he has a gun." Then I hear an audible gasp from Libby.

A lot of people don't hear what I'm hearing though.
I heard it this time. Is that/he has a gun.

Important to remember -- he admitted to having a gun, doing a thing with his gun -- AND he said that's not him if the photo came from the girls' camera. Conditional. Which is the same as saying under certain conditions, it is him.

He either passed a second guy on the bridge or he passed Abby and Libby (looping around to get behind them). He's lying about something. Why would he lie about the first case, say he didn't see a man if he did? Why would he lie and say he didn't see Abby and Libby if it's better for him to say he saw them as he left, knowing his mystery man saw them after he did? Truth, he saw no other man... and he did see the girls, just as the video proves. His confession is embedded in his admission -- in the lie that he never saw them and that's him in the video, at least some of the time.

I hope this video puts this case finally to rest.

He said it was he. Under certain conditions.

What more proof does anyone need??????

Wait.

This might be where she asks 'is he behind me?'

She says something. Several words.

'Is he behind me?' makes more sense...

At the end, when they're on gravel, that where we need to listen for a gun ... might be crunched out.

So sad :(

The people who spread misinformation that the BG wasn't on the video or in the distance away should be ashamed of themselves and hide in a hole. It is plain obvious BG (RA) was really close to them and fwas following them :(. Absolutely terrifying.
tbh I didn't know that was even suggested, I knew a bit about this and kept up to date with most of it but thats the first time I heard people were thinking that. you wouldn't guess it from some of the photos and the video of him taking a step over the beams.

Could be “is he coming?”

People hear that one more than they hear what I said.
i thought it would be something like that. obviously they wouldn't want him to hear it hence the whisper. Its piercing to hear i think its abby but not sure say "hi" she sounds so warm and kind.

I think I might have figured it out. abby I think says "is he running" and is a joke which is why you hear a laugh. It would also explain why when she says "hi" there is no detectable sign of her being afraid, she didn't realise the danger enough and was that unafraid to be able to crack a joke about him. There is no fear I can hear in the audio. "running" sounds a bit like "gun" doesnt it and "coming" ? as said by massguy.

In fact I am almost certain she says "is he running" and that also explains the laugh. making light of a edgy situation.

And I think the whole discussion about a path was for his benefit. They wanted an excuse to get off the trail, but didn’t want him to know it was because of him.

He of course caught up with them, and agreed with the plan.

This will only make sense to people who've experienced something like it. Have you ever been in a situation where your instinct is fear, but you don't want to alert the person TO your fear? Because you might be wrong and they're harmless but you might be right, but if you try to run, they'll KNOW you're afraid
.... so you steel yourself, hold your ground, hope you're wrong, and hope they walk on by?

I think they genuinely didn't know what to do.

Wait at the end, announce you're stopping because the path ends.

I feel it. Adrenaline. Cortisol. Those poor girls. Twenty minutes later they were dead.

Terrifying.

imo "is he behind me" doesn't make sense. she would know already.

Its this photo I was thinking of. both on the bridge and BG can be seen but only partially in the background i think. then we have the video when at the end of the bridge, I would guess that means BG/RA and I do think RA now must have closed that distance quickly. ofc the pair could have spent a few minutes on the bridge just checking the scenery but I doubt it. For RA to be so close behind in the video he must have clsoed the gap quite quickly. the poor girls, would have been better to stay on the bridge where its more likely to have been seen. RA might have thought twice then.

i think this is bang on. caught between two feelings, he might be ok but he might not be. now im wondering if abby said "is he running" because he closed the gap so quickly. I really doubt that he closed that gap at a leisurable pace now, he would have wanted to be quick about it right? first alarm call for the girls and maybe thats why they kinda hang about at the end of the bridge.

The photo darn near matches right up to the newly released video with Abby's posture as if the two were taken mere seconds from one another.

I agree with you that RA must have been booking it. It's almost like he was moving as though he was on a mission...as some of the witnesses described him...

Really is insane to finally see this after following the case from the very start. Like all that time trying to picture how this went down and now here we are with the actual video.

Such a horrible situation for the two girls, I mean so young at that age and they find themselevs in a nightmare.

The video just sorta makes me more convinced Abby could have escaped if she really wanted to but she probs did not want to leave behind her friend just all so tragic and very sad.

did we ever hear of a timestamp for the pic and vid? anyone? could figure out how quick he closed the gap then.

" The girls were dropped off at the trail at 1:35 p.m., and 2:07 p.m., Libby shot some pictures and posted two images to Snapchat.

Six minutes later was when Libby shot the video showing a man in close proximity. The girls' bodies were found the next day."

not sure the timings are exact here, the phone would show exactly when they were taken.

So what's LEs advice to two people hiking together who run into this kind of situation? Not sure If know what to do either, esp in the moment.

Maybe kick him in the shins/groin and make a run for it?
Impossible situation.

Like so many situations that prove dangerous, in the time it takes to process what is happening, suddenly it's too late.

Plus they didn't know what he wanted, maybe he was the property owner and if they trespassed, he'd be angry. I'm sure their minds were spinning a hundred ways. I am stressed and triggered just watching it. Living it, I can't imagine.

Filming it, no less.

Shame on the Defense and their outlandish garbage.

Two little girls.

I am 99% certain abby says "is he running", listened to it on a loop. I cannot decipher what her second sentence is though at all. its almost like she is singing or rhyming, got good headphones 100% volume. @MassGuy I'm also almost certain you are correct as well. the talk about the path. I think I can hear the consternation in libby's voice.
