That Abby was redressed tells me some things...
And that she was dressed in some of Libby's clothing tells me more.
It was a sexually motivated crime. Against little girls.
Why was Abby wearing Libby's clothes?
We don't know what happened between 2:14 and 2:32.... and that's because the victims/witnesses are dead, RA isn't talking, and IMO the evidence was collected by the creek.
What I can imagine though is the girls pleading for their lives, complying, promising not to tell, etc.
And I can imagine Libby convincing RA to let Abby go. The younger girl. And I can see Libby telegraphing to Abby to take Libby's pants. WITH THE PHONE. Outsmarting RA by a mile.
Bravery, courage, wits. Knowing she'll be left naked without pants but also counting on Abby getting away and calling for help...
But RA is one sick demented soul. Who didn't want to be caught and a live witness was a liability that he just wasn't going to risk.
With Abby fatally injured, Libby knew he was going to kill her, the fear those little girls felt is beyond comprehension.
Just how exactly the timing of BW's van factors into that, we can't really know because relying on RA for 100% accuracy isn't wise. He lies.
He incriminated himself no matter how you look at it. When BW drove home, whether it was at 2:28 or 2:44, RA confirms that he was down below the MHB.
Damning.
