Why?
And by why, I mean, please explain why they'll have to choose.
We're at trial and the jury is sequestered.
It's likely experts are going to attend court and start writing editorials over this case.
That's how we do it. First Amendment and all that good stuff.
JMHO
BM and his partner can be DT guests. Or they can be part of the press pool lottery and get access to the exhibits at the end of the day. By the rules of the court, they get one or the other, not both.

He can write or podcast whatever he likes, wherever he sits, but he can't swap hats based on what he wants access to at any given moment. It's not fair on the other members of the press who are actually following the rules, for one thing.

MS is coming across jealous since the judge denied their media passes and spending far too much time on this instead of the trial. Now isn’t the time for unnecessary drama not about the trial. It’s doing the girls an injustice.
Their last episode was very difficult to listen to but I tried to remember how I feel off 2 hours of sleep but they just came off extremely jealous of Bob Motta and were calling him names and going on about him like some grade schoolers.

Did he do that?

Difficult to discuss whether RA’s confessions are true or false when we don’t know what he said. Sort of like discussing what the weather will be two weeks from next Thursday instead of waiting for it to happen. MOO

I think it has legs due to the severity of how poorly he was treated. If that hadn't have occurred I doubt anybody would be questioning his guilt.

That does not make it ok, for his behaviors.MO

I never said it did. Why is BM being singled out when others do it on both sides? I don't even have a side and don't watch/listen to YouTubers/Podcasters so could really care less. This fence is getting mighty hard and splintery! Off to bed now, bike trip tomorrow. Have a good day/night wherever you are!

Why in the world would guests of the defense team not be allowed to view the exhibits of evidence?

Why would they be? They're not members of the jury, lawyers in the case, defendants, specialist expert witnesses, law enforcement, or people there officially as members of the press.

Well, that's different than what the MS said (as I understand....didn't listen)....that he was AT the table. Is there something illegal about where he was sitting?

As always, JMO.
Could you state your source that MS said that??

At the 19:90 mark of the MS podcast in which this is discussed, they CLEARLY stated that Motta sat in the seats reserved for the defense, NOT at the defense table. <modsnip>

Weren't accredited press caught trying to take photos of jurors entering the court this week?

Let's not pretend they're saints. The press were the reason the Idaho hearings went to the Judge's feed, with a threat of removing camera access to the case all together.

I heard not one BIT of jealous, just surprise. I heard no going on about him. It was of interest that he was sitting in the Defense seats. And brings to mind and validates, to me, the an old saying...

If the defense puts forth a theory that multiple people are involved with this, that unspent round destroys that argument. It should not be there.

Scaring the girls with a gun might be something a lone individual would find necessary (you can't hold a knife at both at once), but it would not be unnecessary if there was another perpetrator there.

Two men, two knives, no reason to rack the slide.

Yeah, and they got banned. Rightly.

I'm not pretending anyone is a saint. I'm saying that the rules are clear, and people breaking them have no place in this trial. Whether they're MSM, youtubers, bloggers, websleuthers, or general members of the public.

My source is Websleuths conversation all day October 19, 2024 :p:D:eek:. I don't listen to MS and I'm not the one who started this train. @sunshineray has clued me in that this is NOT what they said, so I'm thankful that maybe this whole conversation can be put to rest! There was nothing wrong with where he was sitting, but some still have an issue with it I guess. To each their own. I couldn't care less where any of them sit as long as they can hear and tell us what happened since we can't be there.

As always, JMO.

Thanks for answering. Seems we agree that Bob/Ali can be Defense guests - or just sit in the galley - AND write or podcasts whatever they'd like to share ... wherever they sit.

If I correctly understand your point had to do with the 15 minutes the press are given to examine exhibits after the hearing.

And now I understand.

We'll see if that rule lasts. IMO, its an errant policy; there's enough attorneys in that room that the policy may be challenged on 1A grounds. JMHO & thanks!

No problem. :)
