Wow, this is a really good article. I found this in particular, very interesting:

There are lots of studies which back up Monturo’s certainty. A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms pointed us to several, including one published this year in the Journal of Forensic Sciences. In it, a trio of Federal Bureau of Investigation scientists gave 172 certified tool mark examiners cartridges and guns and asked them to look for matches.

The reported instance of false-positive errors (where a cartridge and a gun were incorrectly matched) was 0.933%.
So RA lost a 99 to one in his favor shot just in the cartridge game. He lost a long shot in his favor being the only male on the trail. Heck, he was even on the bridge by his own initial report. He lost a long shot in his favor being dressed the same as BG so far as anyone could recall. He’s the only person to confess 60 times to everyone BUT the cops, however you guess the odds.

He might as well lose one more in the jury pool game.

It's to prohibit words and sounds from the video as testimony.

The defense doesn't want the state to claim one of the girls' says "gun." There has also been suggestion that the sound of gun being cocked can be heard.

I have no problem with this motion because I think the jury can listen for themselves what sounds they hear and determine what is being said.

This is why I think it a disservice to the defense, as a juror, my take would be, these guys aren't trustworthy....they're trying to lead me astray without cause. My opinion.....give me some real evidence to exonerate this man, not innuendo.

I agree. What the D may see as an attempt to create reasonable doubt the jury might perceive as offensive, having no scruples. The end result, losing the jury. MOO

Delphi Murders trial: Day 3 live blog

7:44 A.M.: OUTSIDE THE COURTROOM

According to News 8’s Kyla Russell, people have been camped outside the Carroll County courthouse in Delphi overnight to get a spot in the courtroom.

Russell says the jury is expected to hear lengthy testimony from the first law enforcement officers on the scene after Libby German and Abby Williams’ bodies were located.

Thanks. I went looking for Tobin information and found this article. It included discussion I had not seen regarding her decision on allowing the IPAS lawsuit. Her ruling came as no surprise.

(excerpt)
"Another motion by the prosecution asked for the defense to not be allowed to enter into evidence a past Department of Corrections lawsuit that the defense called the “seed” of the current DOC policy on how to treat inmates with “serious mental illness.” The lawsuit was prior to Allen’s 2022 arrest and stay in the Department of Corrections under a safekeeping order. Judge Gull ruled that the defense can use the DOC policy, but not the lawsuit saying, “You don’t need the history of the policy. You have the policy.”"

Bringing this forward because it's possible that some folks missed it earlier.
This is a short video that includes RL stating that neighbors stopped by his home the evening of the murders to get permission "look back here for the girls."
