If he is anything like my husband he likes to save them all. He complains if I want to wipe and sell his old device. I hate clutter! JMO
This guy saves them all too, except the one that could help exonerate him. If it weren’t for bad luck, Richard Allen would have none at all.

Honestly, this is not even about RA, just about the facts of these two terrible murders. I am trying to understand how the phone's last signals help get to the truth - IMO everything we have seen thus far seems to point that WHOEVER committed the murders, it was all over by 4pm.

Any doubts re - was the phone on/off, don't make sense to me if no manual turn off/turn on was recorded - and there was no testimony pointing to that.

All MOO
Would airplane mode have been recorded by the device itself? Eg; if someone (anyone) at the scene put the device in airplane mode then turned off airplane mode - could this account for why texts etc didn’t arrive until the early morning hours?

2. Do we know why the expert says they thought the last activity initially was 10:30 on the 13th? I may have missed something. Ty.

Ok that makes more sense to me, 3 out of 3 sources I have seen do say the phone stopped connecting, not that it powered off.

Sorry, I spent the best 10 years of my life explaining to people why their phones and/or sites were breaking, I might be hyperfixated on the subject.

All MOO
Yes and this makes a lot more sense especially in a rural setting. I couldn’t for the life of me imagine a phone powering off and then on 6 hours later by itself but it seems like I’m right in not being able to imagine it because that isn’t what happened.

Q: if the device was connected to the cloud that took a photo of the funeral (or anything after the kids were murdered and the police had found the phone) - how would it get from the cloud onto the device found under the body of AW?

I understand that I can save things on my cell and they’ll appear in the cloud. Would they also magically appear on my cell phone if I had taken a photo with my iPad?

Anyone happen to know?
Yes they would, your iCloud stores photographs from all of your devices.

I JUST retired my iPhone6s and yes it did go into low power mode on its own. And it could limp itself along on 1% battery for what felt like hours. I still got the dang thing, I could do some experimenting with it.
Maybe yours wasn’t included in the class action? I wonder if Lg’s was?

Yes, I can say with confidence that if someone had put the aeroplane mode on, they would have needed to unlock the phone first.

And last time someone tried to unlock the phone was 2:14pm, back when it still had connectivity.

(I will now stop talking about phones, and think about the girls. Justice for Abby and Libby.)

Q: if the phone was getting messages until 10:30pm, where do pings show it was during the time between 2:00-10:30pm? I understand they say it didn’t move again after 2:30 or so (not sure exact time so pls don’t take that time as fact). Then how was it getting messages then not getting them again til 4;30??

"The last recorded movement of the phone was at 2:32 p.m. Feb. 13, 2017."

"Cecil’s 2024 report showed the phone stayed on into Feb. 14, 2017. He found no indication the phone was turned off from 2:13 p.m. Feb. 13, 2017, to 4:33 a.m. Feb. 14, 2017; however, the phone continued to receive calls and texts."

And he must have had his location tracking off if it didn't show up on the Geofence. Some people may find this odd but I don't because I don't like being tracked and keep mine off. If I want to order food on an app I punch in the zip code or turn it on then off after it is picked up. Don't get delivery where I live so they don't need to know. If I disappear and can't be tracked by phone oh well. I guess I am old school. JMO

Ok, he had searched about the case. This could wind up being big.

I mean he lived almost next door to where the kids were found dead. It isn’t surprising to me he searched for info about the case. I’d like to know: what specifically did he search? Did his searches coincide with press conferences about the case? Did some other thing prompt a search seemingly randomly (eg: a convo with friends or whatever about the case in general?). Even then, it wouldn’t necessarily be shocking that a local searched the case online.

2. How would they know HE searched it himself vs say his wife who lived with him? I am not always signed into my own acct for email / google or whatever when I search things - not super unusual that my spouse has been on my device and is signed in and I don’t notice before I google something.

3. I wonder if they looked to see if Google maps had any history for him on the day of the murders? My phone used to log me on Google maps without me even realizing it a few years ago even if I wasn’t using the map for gps at the time. So my map on Google knew if I went to a store on any given day or went to an office etc. mooo as no link and it’s a genuine observation/ question.

23 is a lot
Klines phone relating to the date 2/17/2017 was missing when SW served and only "found" after being completey wiped, while Allen's phone for that date is simply missing.

Thanks for looking for a link. If infact the LE released the cell back to family in time for the funeral (or all!) I would wonder why the D didn’t file for a mistrial yet!! Yikes!!
As for LE not being able to locate the snapchat photo of Abby on the Bridge, here we have DM's published image on 2/20/2017 carrying the snapchat watermark so perhaps it's something that was damaged when extracted. I don't think we know when FBI became involved to assist with electronics.

DM means or is whom? Pls a hint?

These guys tend to be obsessive about that sort of thing, so that’s what I’m wondering about.

Why does he have so many devices??

Were they all used by him or were some his wife and daughter's? With 4 people in my household and 2 children I have provided phones for I know I would have that many by 2022 if they were all kept. JMO

Does the jury know that many were seized? I have some catching up to do.

I will admit my searches would make me look like a cold blooded depraved murderer being a true crime aficionado. Hope no one ever looks!

Edited because I type fast and don't proofread!

Here’s another report from today with a bit more information, especially on the autopsy.

From your link: “22:32:26 p.m.: phone likely died”.

ok so how did it magically power back on for it to get messages at 4:30am??
