Also, I thought it was said that Allen told them he was wearing some sort of face covering, did this turn out to not be true?

The photo was released on February 15, the day after the bodies were found. We don’t know exactly when he called in that tip, but I think he was trying to get ahead of it.

Feb. 15, 2017: Law enforcement confirmed that the two bodies discovered were those of German and Williams. State police released images discovered on German’s phone to the public, saying they were believed to be of the suspected killer.

So DD could have written down anything, and he can't remember anything outside of what he wrote. The Fishing license may have been purchased by someone else who may have guessed at RA's height... oh man. Not brilliant imo.

So the defense is telling the jury that someone who knew RA paid for the fishing license and got his height wrong.

And they are also saying that the eyewitness's who didn't know RA and only observed BG briefly got the height right.

According to a post upthread, He had to talk to his wife and he told her he was there at the bridge that day.
She must have given her permission for him to talk to DD, IMO

permission? interesting choice of words. Why then, if KA knew and was the one who encouraged him to talk to LE back in February 2017, would he not simply have DD swing by his house. MOO either she did not know and had not encouraged him, or he wanted her to think he went to police station instead and yet he ended up meeting DD in the parking lot of the local grocery.

I am trying to make the Save-A-Lot meeting make sense but it simply doesn't to me if KA knew RA planned to "help" police by giving a statement about his movements that day.

UPDATE: During Friday’s proceedings, Judge Fran Gull ruled that the sketches aren’t admissible in court.

The state filed a motion this week seeking to prohibit the use of the two widely circulated sketches from the early years of the investigation.

The defense responded in a filing Friday saying the sketches were “highly relevant” and should be admitted as evidence.

Mullin told the jury he showed Allen a photo of “Bridge Guy” and that Allen responded, “If the photo was taken with the girl’s camera, it couldn’t be him.”

The former police chief said Allen agreed to let him look at the phone, but then got angry and walked out of the interview. After that, Allen was taken back to his house.

I find it disturbing that RA recalled that one of the girls was taller with dark hair from a quick glance passing them in 2017 to talking to LE in 2022.

The fact that he added she was also older and babysitting is also weird, but confirms that one of the 4 girls was a much younger sibling of the other 3 and not another conspiracy.

A lot of people, nearly every day in these threads (you can go back and check) surmised that Richard Allen must of spoken to law enforcement before the photo was released because he wouldn’t have if he knew he was “captured on film”

To correct you, Allen said he saw 3 females, not 4.

RA apparently gave an account of his late morning/afternoon to investigators in the October 13th interview where he stated he "went to his mom’s house in Peru, returned to Delphi, and picked up a jacket, went to the trails around 12 p.m., and left at 1:30 p.m." This is from the WISH-TV coverage I linked upthread.

Yet again these are different times than what he told DD on February 18th.

Yes. That’s the implication as I see it. That pushes that sighting over the finish line. There’s a reason that only 3 of the 4 were interviewed, and that’s going to because the child was too young.

Tried listening to AB a few days ago. She insinuated there was a pattern in the blood on one of the bodies. I struggle to listen for any length of time.

But that’s apparently the ONE phone he ever had in his life that he can’t produce now.

But he would not HAVE to produce it if he didn’t want to, is what I was asking- if he was on the bridge checked stocks and left at 2p for instance- I was curious as to at what point the defense would have to disclose that they had that information from the phone-

I don’t think that he does have a solid alibi or that the phone is sitting somewhere- I just didn’t know at what point evidence/information would have to be shared

I wonder when or if he ever told KA about the 2017 self reporting. Did she know he had done so back in 2017 or was she only made aware in 2022 when his name resurfaced and LE reached out again? I would imagine that was a shock if she was not already aware he was out there that day.

I also imagine in a small town that people for weeks after were gossiping about the case in hushed tones and telling one another well, I knew the Williams girl, her cousin is my hair dresser (for example) or I was out there that day, it is so scary thinking that I could have fallen victim to or seen something. Did RA ever chime in when/if those conversations wre happening around him?

I would imagine making the photos at work for the family would've been big news to share with his wife. I wonder if he did.

Serious question re: the second location:

Has anyone EVER heard of a case where a victim was removed from a location to a totally different place, then returned to the original location, either already dead, or alive and then killed at the original spot?

I’ve been pondering this on and off for a while and I can’t think of a single one.

I waited to see what date because it never was revealed until today. He talked to Dulin on February 16th. The date the still photo of "Bridge Guy" was released the day before on the 15th.

I am wondering if that picture prompted him to let LE know he was on the bridge before they came looking for him.

My understanding is that Libby was recording him secretly by the movements of her phone from up and down and then upside down.
