This is incorrect, the defendant doesn’t have to prove anything. The burden of proof of guilt lies squarely on the prosecution.

Well, of course. But it is the burden of the evidence that has to be refuted. Because otherwise it’s pretty clear -

RA is placed on the bridge at a time when the girls are abducted and murdered. This is established by correlating witness statements, video of his vehicle and video of a person dressed precisely like him. In addition, a cartridge with markings from a gun just like his is found between the bodies of the victims.

He did not admit to seeing them. As has been made clear with today’s interview, he clearly states he saw a young lady and it appeared she was babysitting 2 other girls.

Thats 3 girls, not 4.

Imo it’s very misleading for people to continue stating he proved the states timeline when that information is not correct.

IMO it's also extremely misleading to continue to insist that this witness saw another man at 2:15pm. When she's simply a witness who mis-spoke on the stand about the 2:15pm timing.

There is hard evidence to back up the fact that she mis-spoke. Time and Date-stamped photos taken with the other girls she was with (so say they and so says she!), BB seeing the girls walk over the Freedom Bridge, and all of those individuals being insistent during their testimony that it was BG that they saw/passed. Evidence, not fish IMO.

He told LE he was watching fish from atop the bridge. He also told them he was checking his stocks.

What about what you posted discredits that?

The water must be very clear to enable a person to see fish from the bridge.

BB was 50 feet away from "BG", as cited in RA's PCA.

According to testimony cited from MSM, BB observed "BG" from the gate close to the entrance of the Monon High Bridge. You can see that gate in the background of Libby's 2:07 p.m. Snapchat picture of Abby walking on the bridge.

Grey Hughes has a video where he proves it is actually just over 100 ft from where she says she turned around and where platform 1 is. She says she turned around at the gate not where the bridge starts and those 2 spots are 50 ft from each other. Hard to judge distance when asked though and I understand her not knowing the actual distance.

Mullin then asked to see Allen’s phone. He asked how long they would need it and said they used Ting for cellphone service. He didn’t think he still had his phone from 2017 and said he believed his wife recycled it.

“I’ve never met them [the girls],” Allen said.

He then revealed that he was “going to shoot” himself that night.

“It’s not like I killed two girls and now I’ve got psychological problems,” he said.

Liggett showed him a photo of a black car. “That’s your car,” he said.

After showing him a photo of “Bridge Guy,” Mullin asked, “Is that you?”

“That is not me,” Allen said of the photo. “If it’s taken with the girls’ phone, that is not me.”

But he placed himself at the bridge and described his clothes he was wearing which coincidentally is exactly what BG was wearing. Leaving that nugget just hanging in the breeze will cook his goose. Imo

It’s actually pretty clear, there are many drone shots on YouTube above the bridge on that area looking down and it’s clear that you would be able to see fish.

ETA I also note he indicates his familiarity with the bridge and has been across it in the past, when it was in "better" shape. Doesn't want LE looking at his internet history because he is "no angel of a person"

I wonder why to RA that matters? The Bolded portion? If he never saw the girls and isn't BG why does it matter if BG was wearing a Carhart jacket or not. The correct answer would seem to be - that is not me on the bridge behind those girls I never saw. Period.

Why was it instead - well that guy doesn't even look like he's wearing a Carhart to me?

Maybe when trial is over someone will FOIA the evidence and reveal all.

I’m just going by court room testimony and going off the fact that the witness was being honest and it’s the court. this is what the jury is hearing.

She is being honest and she just mis-spoke on the timing.

The jury is also seeing that timeline and heard the testimony from herself, the other in the group and BB too who all insisted that it was BG they encountered. The jury has also see the DTGs of the photos taken by the goup of girls. They know that she mis-spoke. They are paying attention to all the actual evidence vice just red herrings IMO.

The timeline from witnesses is pretty damming to RA's case but I keep going back to the snapchat photo of Abby on the bridge. No one is behind her. We know from Libby's video that BG is approaching her from the north west and given the timestamp of the "down the hill" video, one might think he should be in the background of the photo. Its such a shame they didn't find the aforementioned snapchat picture on the phone because I have a feeling that the timestamp of when it was taken would not match the timestamp of when it was posted. He had to be hiding off to the side on the NW end and booked it across or behind Libby as she took the picture. I wonder if any of his confessions mention him lingering on the southeast end of the bridge then passing the girls and making a u-turn.

Also: if the defense is going with "The Odinists did it", what are the odds they will just claim any details in the confessions that would have been only know to the killer were fed to RA by the Odinist police/guards since they've already floated that theory.

I'm beginning to think, due to ongoing mental health struggles with depression and anxiety, RA was probably always been a tortured soul, and it's possible that he went to the bridge with a loaded gun that day because he was having thoughts of suicide. For all we know, he always carried a blade.

And when he saw two young girls, he felt he had nothing left to lose...

I'm curious about his mental health after that day. In and around press conferences... were there times he was suicidal then? His statement would fit with that -- rough paraphrase -- he was going to kill himself that night (not the night of 2/13/2017 but a night sometime after that) because he has mental health issues, not because he killed anyone.

I think he's trying to say his mental health crises aren't related to what happened on the MHB. He's trying hard to back away from the bridge IMO.

Mullin explains in the video why they want to look at his car.

Allen talks about watching “Dateline” every week with his wife and “doesn’t want to be that story.”

Allen says to the investigators “This is out of left field guys, I am going to talk to my wife before I do anything. This impacts her more than it impacts me.”

exactly my point. IMO liars give more details than necessary. A simple it wasn't me, I never saw the girls, and I was gone by the time y'all say they were dead is all that was needed.

Lots of people wear Carharts in the midwest IME. the fact that RA self reported wearing one and BG looks like he was too is not unusual IMO so why is Rick o concerned with that detail? An innocent RA and BG could both be wearing a Carhart that day and it wouldn't be uusual at all.

It is just odd to me. Your mileage may vary.

When they returned, Mullin informed Allen they have video of his car going to the trails. Mullin also revealed he talked to Allen’s wife and daughter and learned he had some issues about “hurting himself.”
