And just because people saw some man there, does not make him the man in the infamous video - moo
If it's not BG, then who is it? Yet another man who hasn't come forward, who's not BG and not RA? So many people unaccounted for...
Unless of course you believe they are all accounted for, and RA is lying. Which I do.

MOO

Edited for a typo

I wonder why to RA that matters? The Bolded portion? If he never saw the girls and isn't BG why does it matter if BG was wearing a Carhart jacket or not. The correct answer would seem to be - that is not me on the bridge behind those girls I never saw. Period.

Why was it instead - well that guy doesn't even look like he's wearing a Carhart to me?

Cuz he recognized himself so was scrambling to differentiate imo

RA has to prove it was not him on the bridge at the time that is consistent with all the witness statements and a video that is also consistent with his admitted outfit and his appearance. He can do this by either showing he was definitely elsewhere, or there at a time that excludes him as the murderer.

What do the cellphone pings say?
I always thought it was the State's job to prove the suspect guilty BARD. The D doesn't have to prove anything - they just get to poke holes in the State's theory... MOO

So forgive me but I started following this late-did the autopsy show if Abby’s neck was broken by chance? I ask because I am wondering if that could be the reason why there was far less of her blood and why she didn’t grab at her neck when cut??
Nope. Something like that would provide a great explanation for something that really doesn’t have a good answer.

The theories put forth include her being bound, restrained, or somehow rendered unconscious prior to those wounds.

That investigator said he had never seen that before.

Well, of course. But it is the burden of the evidence that has to be refuted. Because otherwise it’s pretty clear -

RA is placed on the bridge at a time when the girls are abducted and murdered. This is established by correlating witness statements, video of his vehicle and video of a person dressed precisely like him. In addition, a cartridge with markings from a gun just like his is found between the bodies of the victims.
Is he really though? I want to hear what the D has to say when they're up! Mooo.

The water must be very clear to enable a person to see fish from the bridge.
Some of our own members are local and have commented prior that this is possible as they've done it - you'd have to search to find the post about it but it was within the last few weeks that I saw that. Maybe the member can repeat that here now? Moo.

Grey Hughes has a video where he proves it is actually just over 100 ft from where she says she turned around and where platform 1 is. She says she turned around at the gate not where the bridge starts and those 2 spots are 50 ft from each other. Hard to judge distance when asked though and I understand her not knowing the actual distance.
Imo Grey proved nothing, but he did offer a theory... not the same to me. I'd rather the State proved their case than worry about what social media content creators have to say... moooo Not a dig at you specifically, pls do not take it as such - was just jumping off your post.

Another report….

Mullin later asked Allen if he was the person in the infamous "Bridge Guy" video. Allen grew more agitated, telling the investigators that it was unclear from the video if the man was wearing a Carhartt jacket.
….

After Mullin told him he's free to leave and he's not under arrest, Allen said:

"Thank you. You're an a------."

Some members of the jury and the audience laughed.

The video marks the first time jurors heard Allen's voice.
I imagine I'd get irritated with the cops at that point as well - imagine being accused of killing two kids! Yikes!! I can't imagine anyone staying calm - certainly not someone who is innocent of the crime!! mooo

investigators told KA to tell RA to "do the right thing" not that KA told RA that.

The video cuts to Holeman back in the interview room with Richard and Kathy Allen.

Richard Allen asks Holeman to let Kathy leave and the two hug as she prepares to leave.

Holeman tells Kathy to tell her husband to “do the right thing,” as she leaves the room.

Holeman exits the room and returns a short time later.

I wish we could actually watch. It seems like every reporter hears things a little differently. Not a big deal, but this article has Holeman telling RA directly to do the right thing.

After Kathy Allen left the room, Holeman brought up the evidence again. This time, he seemed angry and was screaming and cursing at Allen.

"Do the right thing," he told Allen, adding that he should not put his family through such an ordeal.

I wonder why to RA that matters? The Bolded portion? If he never saw the girls and isn't BG why does it matter if BG was wearing a Carhart jacket or not. The correct answer would seem to be - that is not me on the bridge behind those girls I never saw. Period.

Because that is what he said he was wearing, and imo, it doesn't look like a carhartt. Moo.

he placed himself at the scene of the abduction on the day in question......yet the prosecution still cannot totally convince that he is actually BG

this is the very definition of a case where reasonable doubt exists in my opinion

I'm beginning to think, due to ongoing mental health struggles with depression and anxiety, RA was probably always been a tortured soul, and it's possible that he went to the bridge with a loaded gun that day because he was having thoughts of suicide. For all we know, he always carried a blade.

And when he saw two young girls, he felt he had nothing left to lose...

I'm curious about his mental health after that day. In and around press conferences... were there times he was suicidal then? His statement would fit with that -- rough paraphrase -- he was going to kill himself that night (not the night of 2/13/2017 but a night sometime after that) because he has mental health issues, not because he killed anyone.

I think he's trying to say his mental health crises aren't related to what happened on the MHB. He's trying hard to back away from the bridge IMO.

We don't know if he carried a blade at all, ever, do we? Not moo, asking.

I’m loosing track- when did we find out details about the tower dump? Not questioning that he didn’t show up, just can’t remember what we know about what was and wasn’t in that info- TIA
His phone not placing him there has come up in testimony (mostly in passing), and during the defense open it I recall.

I do not think there’s been an in depth discussion regarding this though.

Is that a Carhartt jacket?
-then that can’t be me

Is that photo taken with the girls camera?
-can’t be me
I don't find that unreasonable since it had long been in the media that they took a video of a bridge guy... he may well have been in disbelief that they were now accusing him. I would have been! moo
