Wow! From that link:

‘He tells her that he “can’t believe” she thinks he committed the murders.’

I can.
From the link…

In the video, Kathy Allen enters the room and hugs her husband.

“It’s going to be all right,” Allen tells his wife.

He tells her that he “can’t believe” she thinks he committed the murders.

“You know me. You know this isn’t something I could do,” Allen says. “I’m not going to sit here and convince you. I know you know I didn’t do this.”

Kathy Allen asks her husband how the bullet from his gun ended up at the crime scene, adding, “They are going to come after you and I don’t know how to answer that.”

Richard Allen tries to comfort his wife, telling her that “nobody is in trouble” and that he loves her.

“They aren’t going to get away with this,” Allen says.

At this point, Richard Allen looked back at his wife in the courtroom and winked, according to Russell.

Kathy Allen says again in the video that she can’t understand where the bullet came from.

Richard Allen tells his wife to say she wants an attorney and then they will let him leave.

For anyone who may have missed @BobSegallWTHR, Oct 28, thread:

13 Things To Know From The #Delphi Murders Trial Today - Oct 28

1. Two witnesses today on two important topics: DNA found at the crime scene & blood patterns at the site of the murders.

Jurors heard fascinating, highly-technical, excruciatingly painful testimony.

2. The first witness Monday was Stacy Bozinovski (pictured right). She’s an ISP DNA analyst who tested dozens of evidence samples from the #Delphi crime scene to see if any DNA could be detected from those samples that would reveal the identity of the killer(s).

3. Bozinovski said she tested clothing; the cartridge at the crime scene; blood found on the girls, on the ground & on a tree; Libby’s cell phone; & items from Richard Allen’s house (among other items) while looking forDNA — specifically from a male. She found lots of DNA but…

4. The state’s DNA expert concluded:

*Richard Allen’s DNA was not found on any evidence recovered from the crime scene

*Abby & Libby’s DNA was not found on any items taken from Allen’s home when investigators served a search warrant. They tested his blue jacket, boots & knives.

5. Keep in mind, Bazinovski was a STATE witness who testified that no DNA links Allen to the crimes. Why did the state offer up that testimony? Likely to lessen the impact so jurors didn’t hear that info first from the defense. During cross exam, she still faced tough questions.

6. Def atty Jen Auger asked why the state looked ONLY at male suspects & if hairs found at crime scene could be tested more.

Bazinovski said yes, they could, but a decision was made not to test them at this time.

Aguer responded: “But THIS is the time RA is now on trial!”

7. And the jury asked the witness some incredible questions such as:

*What type of quality controls are utilized for DNA reagents?

*Can drugs/inhalants impact DNA strands?

*How do you handle chimeras?

Holy smokes! Some of these jurors really know a thing or two about DNA.

8. Before moving to the next witness, Judge Gull admonished some in the gallery for dozing off during the super technical DNA testimony.

Her zinger: “I do not conduct court in your bedroom. I would appreciate you not sleeping in my courtroom.”

FYI: I wasn’t the one sleeping.

9. The afternoon session was really hard for jurors & victims’ families. Blood patten stain expert Pat Cicero testified about his analysis of the bloody crime scene. That involved showing more graphic photos of Abby & Libby’s bodies—so graphic, several jurors kept looking away.

10. Warning, graphic details:

Cicero showed the jury in great detail the blood spatter markings on Abby & Libby, the pools of blood on the ground at the crime scene and on a nearby tree. Then he was asked to give the jury his theory on where and how the girls were killed.

11. He told jurors Abby was likely killed (throat cut) in the same spot where she was found. Based on blood patterns, he thinks Libby’s throat was cut nearby, but then she died where a larger pool of blood was found a short distance away & her body was then dragged to a tree.

12. Perhaps the most devastating testimony: asked to explain moisture marks around Libby’s eyes in the bloody crime scene photos, Cicero said it appeared to be from tears.

Her grandmother slumped forward and cried with her face resting in her hands.

13. Cicero said he thinks Libby’s blood on a nearby tree is from her hands, which were covered in her own blood. This testimony differs from what we heard this summer from a defense expert who said she believes the tree mark is a pagan ritualistic symbol not left by the victims.

14. As we do each weeknight during the trial, @EmilyWTHR, 13News legal analyst Katie Jackson-Lindsay and I go much more in-depth on the day’s testimony and evidence in the 13News Delphi Debrief, available on WTHR+ or at this link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=20zVbzzIrq8 #

interesting that comment. He was worried about them finding pieces that "close" to fit and LE trying to force them to fit. His defense team IMO has been doing exactly that for two years now.
IMO he was RIGHT to worry about that - since it appears that is exactly what may well be happening to him!

One of the things that is really odd to me is these other people described seeing BG….but RA described these other people and never mentioned he saw BG …..and BG was dressed just like RA described himself.
Yep! I typically don’t like coincidences, especially not the sheer amount that would have needed to happen for RA to not also be BG. So, I do believe he’s guilty, but I don’t know if it will be proven beyond reasonable doubt because we’re relying on second hand information. I find tone and pitch so important in a trial.

The confessions better be good as that is all the state has left, and they need to be before he got any discovery, and I hope the prosecution does not intend to bring a plethora of jail snitches to testify about confessions, I think from questions this jury is smart, some of them have asked very detailed questions, especially of DNA expert, so IMO if they are to convict him I doubt they will be swayed by jail snitches,
I also wonder if Judge Gull will exempt the prisoners from revealing what they are in prison for or there sentence, but I expect we will see the usual dog and pony show of I am testifying out of the goodness of my heart I do not expect nor have I been promised anything for my testimony

Actually, we learned today exactly what RA said he was wearing that day:
[snip]
Mullin asks what he was wearing that day. Allen said he was wearing blue jeans and a back off-brand Carhartt jacket.

Unlikely in my opinion. I think the girls would have screamed for help from BG if he had pivoted and turned the other way on the bridge as they were suddenly approached by another man. No. He followed the girls in my opinion
I completely agree. I'm really just trying to figure out if RA (who I do believe is BG) hid himself and where AND in regards to Libby's photo of Abby on the bridge. Can't wait to hear what defense has to say.

So knowing they both know this is all being recorded.. is she trying to ask him what she should say about the bullet without asking him what she should say about the bullet?

They are going to come after you and I don't know how to answer that.

Well I'd say you don't have to answer that.. why would Kathy need to tell anyone how RA's bullet got there?

All of the state's witnesses last week described BG in a way that completely did not resemble RA so it is right to be careful and precise about who is actually seeing who.
Right? I've heard a lot of of "when do we believe what RA says? Well, same question about the witnesses? When do we believe their descriptions that clearly do NOT match RA (age / height / eyes / hair / outfit per one)???? Mooo.

And what caused him to mention that he was planning to shoot himself? What question triggered that response?
I wondered if the stocks he was watching may have had to do with that - maybe he lost a large sum or something, combined with depression? That might have been enough to make him have some suicidal ideation. mooo

Tough to check stocks when your phone isn’t on though.

He didn’t show up in that tower dump.

I mean, not really. He came to the police station voluntarily. He submitted to the interview voluntarily. He was able to leave when he wanted, took several breaks, left the room, clearly was not in a custodial situation. Overall, even if they had not advised him of his rights (and you’re accusing two different police investigators of lying), Miranda isn’t even necessary if the interview is not custodial.

Defense even withdrew their motion to suppress this testimony based on Miranda issues.

JMO
I am not willing to take the word of two officers when it comes down to they may have violated his constitutional rights, and this could help lead to him ending up in prison for the rest of his life. So many "missing" videos? Very odd imo. Not sure when they realized they had tech issues, but you'd hope they'd sort that before they interviewed anyone else in this case (or in any other case!!). Makes me wonder how many other cases have suffered as a result of their tech issues (if any). Unacceptable imo. MOOO.

The comment about the moisture marks below Libby's eyes being tears... just made me cry. I'm a 63 year old guy and this is just devastating to hear and picture in your mind.

Hearing this has to be almost unbearable for the family in the courtroom.

I want to here the confessions: It is second nature to deny early on, and then later realize keeping up the lie is worse on sleeping at night than coming clean and admitting your guilt.

I think they have a decent case against him with lots of circumstantial and eyewitness testimony (including RA's interviews). The big thing will be his confessions which is why they are leaving that to the end.

He told the investigators he was wearing blue jeans and a Carhartt jacket that day. He had a black one and a blue one at the time but believed he wore the black one. He also said he was wearing a “skull cap.”

At times she IS cinvinced he did this!!

We've rehashed this to death. Witnesses are notoriously unreliable. Thank-god that's not all we're relying on.
What they do all agree on, based on their testimony under oath, is that they saw BG.

If you think RA saw three different girls, where/who are they??

So forgive me but I started following this late-did the autopsy show if Abby’s neck was broken by chance? I ask because I am wondering if that could be the reason why there was far less of her blood and why she didn’t grab at her neck when cut??
