His doctor testified at the 3 day hearings that he was suffering from psychosis. These prison guards also called him bashing his head into his cells walls until he was bleeding “just something that he does”
Didn't his Doctor also testify that she was not sure if he was faking his behaviour or not? She said she thought he might have been malingering. IIRC

No they didn’t. He wouldn’t have received the photos until he received his discovery.

The big question from this morning is what day his received his discovery and what day he made these confessions.

Obviously if he made these detailed confessions before receiving discovery, that will be huge and I don’t see a jury not convicting him.

On the other hand if he had just recently received this discovery then started confession about the manner of death and the other readily available information in it it will hold far less weight with a jury.

I also read that he received the discovery on April 4th and his bizarre behavior started a day later. MOO

I said this on Saturday, which is why Walla’s testimony was so huge for me. At the time we didn’t know about him saying he was an alcoholic, or that he drank before he arrived at the bridge that day.

I’m not saying he’s definitely an alcoholic, I mean he has no DUI’s or anything (which could be a decent sign). But someone who has to go to the hospital to be evaluated at that age, may very well drink too much.

I just strongly think the killer needed something in his system to do something this so completely stupid and risky.

I’d love to know his drinking habits.

You seem to be very informed about criminal cases. I'm curious if you have ever researched the percent of alcoholics who commit really heinous crimes like this one. I'm not talking about the usual domestics.

Yeah this is really tough, when you take a man suffering psychosis, eating feces and confession to cheating on his wife with a cigarette and dump 1000 pages of discovery of a brutal double homicide on him it’s going to be very very hard to be able to sort truth and fiction out of him.

Yes I believe she testified that she wasn’t sure.

Psychosis doesn't explain how he had knowledge of BW pulling up in his van

I've read a lot about serial killers, and although Allen is not by definition a serial killer, I believed that the killer here was behaving as one (sexually motivated). I believed this crime was committed by a (mostly) disorganized offender. Guys like that tend to have substance abuse problems, mental illness, and a history of sexual abuse (Funny enough Allen checks all 3 boxes).

So I wasn't focused on him being an alcoholic and this happening, I was focused on him being like a mostly disorganized serial killer, which made substance abuse very likely.

Absolutely. According to the reports, she said that today.

"The next report shown was from April 7, 2023. Wala told Allen that he had confessed and told him it was not in his best interest, that it could get to the media. Wala told the jury that she felt like he was being more blatant with his confusion. She said she felt he was purposeful being that way, faking it.

Wala told the jury that Allen said that he “didn’t sign anything, right?”

The next report is from April 10, 2023. Wala tells the jury that she noticed “faking” symptoms. She said Allen was naked during this meeting, that there were papers on the floor and was doing “unknown things” to his penis and talking about his wife. Wala tells the jury that the papers on the floor were the discovery paperwork for the case.
Rozzi tells the jury that Wala used the IDOC database to find information about the case and that the IDOC is investigating her for that. He says this is why she is not at the IDOC right now. He tells the jury Wala was contributing and recommending on social media where to get information earlier than 2024.

Rozzi tells the jury that Wala was commuting two hours every day to Westville for work and listened to Delphi podcasts on the way there. At some point, Rozzi said she shut all her social media accounts down.

Wala tells the jury that she told IDOC of her interest in the case whenever they found out Allen was coming to Westville, Rozzi says she did not. He tells the jury that Wala was sharing her thoughts with Allen while he was in custody.

Another report was shown from April 21, 2023. Wala said she felt Allen’s odd behavior not to be genuine.

Rozzi asks Wala about clinical testing experienced by Allen, says he was diagnosed with a depression disorder when he got to Westville. Rozzi asks Wala if she thought Allen suffered from dependent personality disorder. Wala says it is possible. She says Allen was fragile when he came to Westville.

She said he “went on about flushing the bible down the toliet.” She said “I didn’t see him as psychotic, it was possible he was severely depressed.”

Has it been testified to that Richard Allen was scared away by BW van? If it has I must of missed that. The only information I’ve ever seen is BW arrived at 3:30. Which is after the last movement on Libby’s cell phone.

Could you please site a source that Richard Allen has a history of sexual abuse?

Are these still from confessions he made during his throes of psychosis?

are we to believe that he did cheat on Kathy Allen with a cigarette as well?

I know we are essentially beyond the point of talking about sketches, but to me, the courtroom sketches, done professionally with RA right there all day long, still do not greatly resemble what I see in recent photographs of him.

Perhaps because we can’t see him live in court, he does look like this now, somehow. Personally I think this just doesn’t look like his face.

I think he’s simply hard to capture in sketches, possibly.

It could just be me, if others here do feel that this sketch looks like RA as he is now.

I agree. I don't think any courtroom sketches remotely resemble him based on photos I have seen. I would never even guess they are meant to be him. Imo.

Just because some of this stuff is off the walls doesn’t cancel out the rational statements.

Some random thoughts.

He says he lost the bullet when he says down the hill but that isn't possible

He says used off trail to stay hidden after committing the murder so who did SC see that was muddy and bloody

Jury will have to weigh a confession against when he obtained discovery
