He said he saw 3 girls. There were actually 4 girls.
Is that not a problem for the prosecution?
No not that I see. He admitted to seeing the 3 girls, 4 were there in total, but one a much younger sibling who may have been lagging behind or off to the side. Also BB saw all 4 girls passing over the bridge as she went to park for her walk.

What is problematic to the Defense is that they saw him and he admitted to seeing them at the same time in the same location and they have phone and picture evidence of that timeframe. What is creepily weird is that he recognized and described one as taller with dark hair in such a short few seconds in passing even with his head down and a face covering.

Maybe if she'd been on her own or with fewer others around her, he would have gone for her. It's sobering, and I'm sure that everyone who visited the trail that day and left unharmed felt that goose walk over their grave, that chill of the randomness that extreme violence can be visited on one person but not another under almost exactly the same circumstances.

Bringing forward the discussion about unlocking iPhones to take photos or videos; on all the models I’ve had (admittedly not the one Libby had) you could access the flashlight/torch and camera without unlocking the phone.
On mine you can access the flashlight but not the photo icon without unlocking. Libby had an iPhone 6 model.

I've thought about the unfolding scene when RA confronts the girls on the bridge, and immediately prior to his command, my opinion being....

I think the girls knew they were in trouble, Libby already being on solid ground, Abby still on the bridge. All this happening in seconds....they discuss possible exit strategy, the trail ends here, etc. and Libby says the only way down is here, or something similar. Libby's already at a path down the hill, Abby seeing Libby is ready to flee, says...don't leave me up here.

Immediately after that comment, RA pulls the gun and says 'Guys'.....

And yes, when I think crime scene, it includes that point where RA confronts the girls, all the way, whatever path they took, to where the girls' bodies were found....possibly more, like RA's escape route, where he parked his car, etc.

Just a quick question for clarity. Would the prosecution have presented timelines and visual evidence for the jury? I know reporters are trying to get as much information as they can but will likely leave out things they deem unimportant?
Sorry I've never watched a trial before so I'm not sure how the detail about timelines etc works

We don't know anything about how RA spent his day on 2/12. Not impossible, he was a heavy drinker, and the beers on 2/13 were chasers. Functioning alcoholics maintain a BAL. "I think I did it." There are legit reasons that parts of 2/13 might be hazy for RA. I suspect vast swaths of RA's life are hazy. Might have touched his daughter. Forced sobriety, a lot of things were probably coming into sharper focus for RA. He wouldn't be the first person to come to after a bender, forced to confront dawning reality, "did I do that? I didn't do that. I wouldn't do that. But I did. I did do it."

I don't think so because one of them was about 8 or 9 years old-- a little sister. And he did say they looked like they were baby sitting. So that seems like he was describing the same group. IMO

No. The witnesses have been picked apart for discrepancies of muddy/bloody, beautiful eyes, poofy hair etc. It’s been established that witness descriptions will vary.

RA may have misremembered. Or lied. You can take a guess at which one of those choices I believe.

The trail timeline to identify Richard Allen as Bridge guy is absolutely key here and I just don't think the prosecution are doing enough to get their facts across to the jury.
The fact a day or so after the murders he said he was there between 13:30 & 15:30. But 5 (FIVE!) years later he changed that time frame to much earlier. Ask yourselves what is likely to be the more vivid memory? Days after or multiple years?
No photos in court showing the perspective Betsy Blair would've had from her vantage point to the first platform. It was about 100 yards wasn't it. Very difficult to give an age approximation from that distance. She did so anyway and the defense have been hanging on it.
As far as I can see they haven't presented exactly where the group of girls saw him on the trail and I also think at trial they didn't ask the witnesses from that group in which direction he was travelling?

When asked in 2022 if he had ever crossed the full length of the bridge on previous trips to the trails he said it was treacherous and not something he had done for years. The girls were murdered 'years' before this interview!
There are many more details that haven't been mentioned imo.
The prosecution are really showing a lack of thorough investigation to me.
They are tiny details, but in the scheme of things put together they are huge ...but I don't get the impression the prosecution are getting it across.
I think you are making good points, HOWEVER I don't think any of us have a full understanding of what the jury is really hearing and seeing. None of the reporters are really able to convey it all to us.

And these jurors are asking exceptionally good, specific questions showing how attentive they are. I think they are already picking up what you're putting down.
I think the prosecution has been getting many of these details across----it's the lack of cameras and transcripts that are keeping us from seeing it for ourselves.

Day 15 in the Delphi Murders trial. The defense is expected to call Brad Weber and play silent videos of Richard Allen in his cell at Westville prison. Weber drove the van the state says interrupted Allen’s assault of Abby and Libby, causing him to change course and murder them.

Perhaps Libby didn’t know how to make an outbound call to 911 without unlocking her phone.
I don’t offhand.
