Hoping for guilty, I can’t imagine 12 people agreeing on not guilty. I think it took awhile to convince a holdout or 2, best he could’ve hoped for was a hung jury and that’s not the case.

Mega-pints (ice cream, beer, beverage of choice) for everyone

The fact that it took this long had me a little nervous. The longer a deliberation drags on, the more it favors the defendant. But then again there's several charges and they have to decide guilty or not guilty on each of them and that can take time. I'm going to be optimistic. This monster needs to be put away for life. Just an extremely dangerous person to commit a crime like this, he cannot walk the streets ever again. Today needs to be the day justice was finally served.

I get it. I want to hear the news on WS, after all this time following the case.

I was unable to check any devices on Saturday and I wondered what it would be like finding out the verdict without being here. For those who are not invested in a case, that sounds so weird (and I would never admit it in "real life"), but I know you all know what I mean.

A verdict would not be hung. Or am I wrong?
You’re correct.

If it were a hung jury, by definition there is no verdict.

Cheers to our Brits who are ready with a drink because it’s evening.

I don’t drink but am about to embark on a coffee marathon.

JUSTICE TODAY PLEASE PLEASE FOR ABBY AND LIBBY!

One wonders why they didn't create an overflow room.
They would have had to video it and that’s a no no according to the judge

You are correct. A verdict is guilty or not guilty.

A hung jury is declared a mistrial - and not considered a verdict.

Ask me how I know? I Googled it during the break like Cecil.

Why would KA give a statement? Is that usual?

Less than an hour to go then….

We are talking minutes away

So glad I’m off work today, this is so nerve wracking I’d never be able to concentrate or accomplish much.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, shoutout to our WS veterans, thank you for your service!

Transcripts.
Thanks to @al66pine and everyone who answered my question related to transcript availability.
I thought I remembered a case (a few years ago) where jurors did have the trial transcript during deliberations but I'm likely remembering incorrectly.

@fred&edna
I vaguely remember the same but not enough specifics to track it down. Wish I could.

It’s just after 6 am in Sydney Australia. Hopefully the Oz followers are tuning in.
