Why would KA give a statement? Is that usual?
I think it's unusual that it has been announced that she will do so.

IMO, it will be in support of him, regardless of what the verdict is.

As someone who has gone through this, I can tell you, you just have no choice but to live with it. Grief goes on endlessly.
Sorry for your loss.

There is a verdict. He will be found guilty or not guilty today.
That’s what I thought. But, someone mentioned could still be a hung jury. But, to me a verdict is very definitive…guilty or not guilty.
I too have followed this case since the beginning with some breaks when things were slow. Extremely anxious to hear the verdict.

It is a bit unusual, but then again, it’s a very high profile case. So not unexpected.

It’s a way to try and take some of the media heat off of her, and I think it would certainly
close with her requesting her family’s privacy.

I get it. I want to hear the news on WS, after all this time following the case.

I was unable to check any devices on Saturday and I wondered what it would be like finding out the verdict without being here. For those who are not invested in a case, that sounds so weird (and I would never admit it in "real life"), but I know you all know what I mean.

I feel this. I’m grateful to all for their opinions and insights on this case, even when we disagree (sometimes pretty bitterly). The discussion has given me a place to “keep” some of the more horrible things that happen in our world, and helped me connect in some small ways with the goodness of all seekers of truth and justice.

Really hoping Libby and Abby’s families finally have their day today.

This may sound silly but... the defence team, RA, KA and prosecution don't know the verdict yet do they

A verdict would not be hung. Or am I wrong?
Whether it's hung/mistrial, guilty or not guilty--- it's a verdict, is my understanding. moo

Edited: jury cannot agree on a verdict. Therefore, jury is deadlocked and hung jury/mistrial is not a verdict.

I hope she takes a moment to pay respects to the victims, too. No matter what the verdict is.

All the court tv legal experts believe the verdict will be guilty, despite two of them thinking there is reasonable doubt there.

I'm remembering watching the OJ verdict with co-workers. It was pre-internet days so we gathered in a sports bar to watch on TV. The place was packed. This case is not as big as the OJ case, of course, but the feeling of waiting feels the same. I hope for a better outcome, though.

I started with the case just a handful of hours after the girls went missing. I volunteered for a missing kids group and started sending out missing posters (via email and fax). From thread 1 I've been here but I haven't said much because you've all been so right on the money with your thoughts, facts, dedication - you've all thrown yours hearts into this. Thank you!! No matter what, thank you!

I just want to say that no matter the outcome of this case, I feel for the jury. They had one of the hardest jobs imaginable. It’s hard to have someone’s life in your hands, I know this because I’ve been in that position and I’ve been in the family’s position as well. Pray for peace and understanding no matter the outcome!

No, I think a hung jury is a non-verdict.
